Chapter 7 - Chapter7

Dhruv laid on the bed thinking about the beautiful face of Amrutha.

Till now, no girl touched his soul. He smiled thinking about her innocent talk. He wondered how any person can be pure at the heart like Amrutha. Slowly sleep engulfed him. He had a peaceful sleep the whole night.

The next morning, he went to his office whereas Karthik went to his college picking Amrutha on the way.

Days were passing quickly...

Amrutha got habitat to the city culture within a few months. She used to hang out everywhere with midhuna. They became best friends in a short time.

Midhuna is from a middle-class family. Her father is working as an Accountant in a pharma company and her mother is a home-maker. She is the topper in her class whereas Amrutha was the above-average student. They used to study together.

Adithya used to study in the same college who was senior to Amrutha and Midhuna. He was from a rich family. Aditya is the best football player in college. He met Midhuna in their college library. He fell in love with her at first sight. He used to follow Midhuna in college.

Many times, he tried to talk with Midhuna. But she tried to ignore him. She always wanted to study well and achieve a good job. She wanted to make her parents happy.

One day, Adithya asked Amrutha to arrange a meeting with her friend.

From childhood, Amrutha was brought-up in her grandparent's home. She doesn't have an idea about other relations and curious to know why Adhitya follows her friends every day.

" Why do you want to meet my friend?" Amrutha asked him innocently.

" I want to confess my feelings to your friend. Please...." Aditya requested Amrutha. He requested Amrutha to bring her to the restaurant.

She accepted understanding the sincerity in his voice. The same day, she lied to Midhuna and took her to the place where Aditya asked to come.

But inside their heart, Amrutha felt bad to lie to her friend and bring them to the restaurant. She wanted to tell the truth. Before that Aditya came with a bouquet of red roses.

" Thank you... for helping me, Amrutha, " Aditya said with a smile.

" So...this is your plan!" Midhuna asked with surprise.

" How many times should I say...that I...don't have any feelings for you. Can't you understand" Midhuna yelled?

" Mittu...once listen, he wanted to tell you some important matter. He requested me. So...." But mittu cut off amrutha's words.

" I didn't expect that you would lie to me about him. Don't talk to me again" Mithuna walked away.

Amrutha stood in shock and started crying.

Aditya followed her and requested to accept red roses but she threw the bouquet of roses with a serious face.

" I am sorry...Amrutha because of me you both fought" Adithya left.

Amrutha didn't understand why her friend fought for a simple lie. She was silently walking on the footpath.

At the same time, Dhruv saw Amrutha walking alone on the road with a gloomy face. He stopped his car and called her name.

But her thoughts were filled with her friend's scolding and not in a mood to hear anyone's words.

Dhruv stopped the car and quickly towards her as she didn't notice the truck coming opposite her.

Dhruv pulled her back forcefully which made both of them fall on the side of the road.

" You...idiot. Can't you see on the road and walk?" Dhruv shouted.

Instantly, Amrutha started crying louder and the people gathered around them.

" What happened, dear? Why are you crying? Is this guy misbehaving with you?" One of the people from the crowd Amrutha.

Dhruv looked at them with astonishment.

Dhruv asked Amrutha to come along with them. But she nodded his head as 'no'.

He felt embarrassed by staring at the people around him.

" Okay, I will call your brother and inform him to send you back to your village if you don't come with me" Dhruv threatened her.

Then she silently followed him and sat in the car beside him.

" First tell me, what were you thinking while you were walking on the road that you didn't notice the truck?" Dhruv questioned.

" I was thinking about my friend, Mithuna. She scolded me without my mistake" Amrutha answered and again started crying.

" She is my best friend..." She added.

Dhruv listened patiently to everything that happened at the restaurant. Then he understood about Amrutha that she is 18 years but she is a novice for his age.

" What is the mistake in me?" Amrutha questioned Dhruv.

Dhruv smiled at her innocence and replied, " You didn't commit a mistake. Your friend misunderstood you. That's all".

" Will you tell my brother to send me to my grandparent's home ?"Amrutha asked with fear-filled eyes.

" No, I don't say anything to Arvind. But remember one important thing in your mind. Walk carefully on the road" Dhruv said.

" Promise, ?" Amrutha extended her palm

" Hmmm..." Dhruv extended his right palm.

She panicked to see his bleeding palm. Amrutha cleaned his hand with the hem of her dupatta. After cleaning, she kissed on the backside of his palm.

Dhruv's heart skipped at once with her kiss. He felt very good with her touch and looked at her without blinking his eyes.

" You know...my granny used to say whenever someone hurts, if we pray to god and kiss on the wound, the wound will heal faster," Amrutha said without bothering his stare.

" Every good ....treatment." He smiled at her.

After a few minutes, he stopped the car at Arvind's house. She got down from the car waving him, bye.

" Yeah...Dhruv...stop.." she ran behind the car.

Dhruv saw her through the view mirror and stopped the car.

" Dhruv...what are you planning for Karthik's birthday?" Amrutha asked him, breathing heavily.

" Not yet planned" he replied.

" what about a surprise party?"

" Okay, good idea, then let's plan together," he said.

" Great... then give your number" She took his mobile.
