Nancy was laying sideways her head propped up by her elbow. She stared at the sleeping form of Jay Parker beside her.
Her haze fell on her ring finger supporting the beautiful princess cut diamond.
She sighed happily. The guy who had ranted out to her all those years back was sleeping beside her peacefully.
It meant he felt comfortable with her. It meant she had lessened his pain.
He was really broken when he met her.
" I hate myself for breaking her. We would have been happy. I guess it's karma. For bullying all those kids. For being disrespectful to my parents. It's all coming back to haunt me. "
He had wailed loudly to her, poured his heart out to her. And she had listened to him patiently.
The door bell rang and she groaned. She was warm and cozy in the blanket.
There was another ring then a knock. She sighed and rolled out of bed. Her movements caused Jay to stir.
She wore her robe and padded out of the bedroom.
