Rachel saw Maria and Mark sitting outside the emergency room.
" Maria! " She called out.
Maria looked towards her direction. Involuntarily, her feet moved towards the woman who was like a mother to her. The woman who was with her when her mother left this world.
" How are you? " Rachel asked rubbing Maria's back.
She nodded and smiled at her showing that she was fine.
Daniel began talking to Mark. He knew it wasn't the right time to talk to Maria. He could do it some other time.
" Why did you cry so much? " Rachel wiped her face a little and delicately looked at her.
" I just got scared nothing else. " She said with a nervous chuckle.
" You got scared? From what? As I can see, your father is fine. No one else beside him got into the accident. Or.... Is it that guy lying inside? " Rachel raised her eyebrow.
" No! What are you talking about? " Maria swatted her hands in front of her face.
" You don't have to lie. " Rachel looked dead in her eyes.
