My footsteps echoed through the school halls. I tripped over limbs and bodies as I ran. As my feet left the floor with every step, I also left a bloody shoeprint.
The school massacre was terrifying, a blur. SWAT Teams, students… a mess of blood and infected students.

I rounded a corner, slamming my shoulder into a locker. I could see flashlights in the distance, with survivors behind them. I could see Samantha waving her arms to me, screaming for me to hurry. Begging me to make it.
I was held at gunpoint, the SWAT Team shot down the creatures behind me. I ran to them happily, the feeling of relief, the rush of being saved.
"She's infected." One said. Another agreed. One pointed at my shoulder, which was bleeding from the locker cutting me on the way to them.
They aimed their guns and Samantha began screaming for them to stop. I began pleading for my life, trying to explain what actually happened. They wouldn't listen.

This cruel world. Selfish intentions and selfish people. They breathed heavily, without a care, they shot me in the head. I fell to the cold floor. The last thing I could hear was Samantha's desperate screams.
They didn't waste a second putting that bullet in my head. This is the world you will soon learn about. This is the world of selfishly cruel people trying to survive an "infection."
