"Xiphos! Don't you see what you just did?!" Her voice echoed throughout the canyon.
"Yes. I did what I needed to." Xiphos said, clutching a blue scarf in his hand.
"You killed Mayu! You pushed her off!" She yelled, grabbing onto Xiphos' wrist. He slapped her hand off of him.
"She's working with Mother. I only did what I needed to." He said, throwing the scarf over the edge of the canyon.
He left the edge and returned to a car waiting idly nearby. She had no choice but to follow. She sat in the back seat and held her head, which was pounding.
"Ever since this all began... you... have been so... different," She said, to which he sat silently.
The car began at a slow pace down the canyon trail.
"If we can't beat her... what do we do then?" she asked in a half-panicked, half-angry tone. Xiphos smirked, then, returning to a frown his eyebrows furrowed.
"Then we begin The Erase." He said coldly, driving into a grassy forest after what seemed like hours.
"The... Erase?" She asked puzzled beyond explanation at this new concept.
