"Thinking about this still gives me traumatizing memories." Chen Yu Liang muttered in distress.
Long Chen felt a wave of sympathy within his heart as he heard this. Xiao Wan Wan was really ruthless. He had knocked her head with his knuckles the last time, would she do anything to me?
Long Chen suddenly wondered. What if she wanted to do something to him because he didn't help her teach a lesson to Chen Yu Liang?
"Don't worry, I won't go too hard on you." Long Chen slightly smiled in a warm smile, with every intention within his heart to do exactly the opposite
"I hope you won't. I wish that you can put up a good fight with me!" Chen Yu Liang then positioned himself into a fighting stance, with his spear in one hand, his eyes burning with the desire to battle.
And that was when a ball of Qi energy appeared in Long Chen's arms, faintly floating and moving about within.
And the moment Chen Yu Liang saw this, the battle intent he had completely vanished into thin air, his mouth wide open, his heart reeling with astonishment.
Meanwhile, at the side, the Supervising Elder nearly dropped his jaw when he saw this ball of energy. He couldn't be more familiar with this. His eyes bulged to the point of bursting, as he stuttered, "Elemental…Elemental Qi!"
"Elemental Qi! Elementary Realm! You have reached the Elementary Realm! This is impossible!" Chen Yu Liang totally lost his composure as he exclaimed. However the truth was right before his eyes.
The ball of Qi contained much more power and energy than his Qi itself, and the Qi energy within him was even faintly trembling in fear at its presence, as though a higher being was before a lower being and exuding its natural suppression.
"Don't worry. I will not be too violent." Long Chen repeated as he assured yet again, "I'll just add some light injuries to your body so that Xiao Wan Wan can see it."
"You have reached the Elementary Realm…no wonder you wanted to fight here, away from the eyes of others." Chen Yu Liang softly mumbled to himself, before the fighting passion within him re-ignited, as he gripped the spear in one hand, and pointed it towards Long Chen.
"Even though I know that I do not possess a shred of certainty in winning, however I am still burning with the desire to feel the power of the Elementary Realm!"
With that, he infused his spear with his Qi Energy, as a slight glow enveloped it, before he rushed towards Long Chen, with the tip of his spear vibrating with power, as he yelled out, "Brother Long Chen, this is the Wind Sweeping Strike that I have mastered during my breakthrough!"
As his words landed, the spear in his hand abruptly moved, striking in a sweeping position as the wind was stirred up by its momentum, creating a strong wind current in the air slashing towards Long Chen.
Long Chen calmly stood there, playing with the ball of Elemental Qi in his hands, as he studied the move in interest.
The wind current swept a distance about 10 meters wide, making it almost impossible for a Qi Refining Realm to evade it, leaving their only choice to try to block it, yet it also carried with it astonishing power that could sweep its enemies off its feet, leaving them flying into the dust.
But who was Long Chen? An Elementary Realm existence.
As the wind strike slowly approached Long Chen, he controlled the Elemental Qi in his hands, as he whipped out his hands, his palm facing towards the strike.
The Elemental Qi left his hands as it slowly moved towards the wind strike. Comparing by the size along, the ball of Elemental Qi looked absolutely pathetic in front of the wide-range wind strike.
But as they collided, the Elemental Qi seemed to encounter no resistance, as the wind strike was simply broken apart into pieces, destructing from its very core, and instantly died down.
The Elemental Qi remained relentless in its path, as it continued to travel towards the dumbfounded Chen Yu Liang.
He had thought that his move would be able to at least block Long Chen's attacks, or dampened the extent of the intensity of his attack.
But who knew that the move he took pride on was so easily snap into pieces, as if it was a piece of flimsy glass, utterly useless in front of the ball of Elemental Qi.
Chen Yu Liang, worthy of being the number one of the Heaven's Pride Ranking, quickly recollected himself to deal with the current attack, throwing quick strikes at it to block his path.
Yet the Elemental Qi actually remained unharmed, as though his strikes were merely tickling it. In the end, the Elemental Qi collided into his body, and he felt like his chest was hit by a boulder as he flew more than 10 metres into the air.
A low grunt resounded out, as Chen Yu Liang dropped to the floor, with a hole in clothes around the chest area, the bones of his ribcage threatening to break any moment.
Long Chen, who saw this, shook his head. Chen Yu Liang didn't look that miserable yet.
He slowly strode towards Chen Yu Liang, as he said in an apologetic tone, "Chen Yu Liang, although I feel like you are quite a good person, but you know the phrase, "Every man for himself". If I don't teach you a lesson, I don't know what would happen to me. But you can rest assured, I will only leave you will minor injuries."
As he finished his words, disregarding the horrified look on Chen Yu Liang's face, he started his onslaught on him.
Ear-piercing screams quickly began to resound from on top of the Great Blue Mountain, and swiftly travelled down the mountains and echoed in the surrounding.
Quite a few disciples who were nearby heard this pig-slaughtering scream, as they gathered below the mountains, while looking up in curiosity.
"Isn't that the Great Blue Mountain? Why does it sound like someone is being tortured up there?"
"I heard that Long Chen and Chen Yu Liang are fighting for the Rank 1 in the Heaven's Pride Ranking at the top of the mountain."
"I wonder who is getting beaten up. The screams sound quite…miserable"
They all murmured to each other, as more and more disciples started to bask within the commotion.
A few minutes later, the screeching screams finally stopped, as a figure slowly appeared as he went down the mountain.
The disciples all peeled their eyes to see who it was, as they discussed amongst themselves.
"Who did you think had won that fight? Long Chen or Chen Yu Liang?"
"I think Chen Yu Liang. After all, he had stood steadily the peak of the Heaven's Pride Ranking within the Outer Court for such a long time. How could it be so easily lost to a new disciples?"
"Even though I support Long Chen, but he is still too young, so I also agree with you. But I'm sure that Long Chen will definitely be able to defeat Chen Yu Liang in the future with the talent that he is displaying now."
As the disciples watched on with rapt attention, holding on to their breaths, the figure's face began to appear within their line of sights.
A deadly silence permeated the crowd.
A few seconds passed, but everyone still gaped wide-eyed at the arrival, their eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets, their minds unable to comprehend what truly happened.
Because the person who came down the mountain first, was not Chen Yu Liang, but Long Chen!
And his face was calm and expressionless, his breath steady, looking nothing like a person who had just fought a match against the number one genius of the outer court.
And this only meant one thing.
"I announce that Long Chen had successfully defeated Chen Yu Liang, and now takes his place as the Number 1 in the Heaven's Pride Ranking within the Outer Court!" The Supervising Elder imposingly declared from the top of the mountain, and his voice managed to travel around the entire sect.
The change of the Leader of the Outer Court had to be announced to everyone, since it was a very important event.
On the majestic Heaven's Pride Ranking list, Chen Yu Liang's name was erased and replaced with Long Chen, as his was demoted to the second place.
A while later, under the wide-open eyes of the disciples surrounding the bottom of the Great Blue Mountain, another figure appeared within their eyes.
He was walking---no he was limping down slowly, and as his entire being was revealed in their sights, they all sucked in a deep breath as they involuntarily shivered.
