"[Heart Pierecr]"
I shouted my strongest skill that requires long channelling time. It is a single target skill, but it is enough to one shot a cloth armoured average player. I was not the only one who throw their skills. The rest of my squad who are confident to hit the target precisely also used their skills. [Charge Arrow] was still the norm for our members. It cannot be helped because [Heart Piercer] is a rare skill that only be obtained as a skillbook from bosses.
Only a few dozen or so archers have followed my action while the rest of my group went closer before drawing their bow. The reason for it is because friendly fire was on.
"Hey! Watch where you are shooting."
"Sorry! I guess I shoot that far away in a chaotic battle such as this."
Some of the vanguard were having their back poked by friendly arrows. Training is still required for my group when I see the ruckus in front of me. They have depended on the system of the game too much that rules of Territorial Wars where pure player skill shine the most, have begun showing their weaknesses.
Friendly fire is not the only annoying rule when having a War. I should be seeing damage numbers floating right now, but I see nothing except chips of broken armours flying around. In fact, it is not the only thing that was removed temporarily. The game interface is also limited to viewing your own character profile tab and game settings.
It feels like a totally different game when you are a participant of a Territorial War.
"Their Rankers should be showing anytime soon… Legionnaire, find LadyQueen and tell her to gather at the centre of this town. You should also come because base on how they used their weaker members, our opponents should be waiting for us there."
"Ok… If any members of my group will not be able to kill at least two people, they will be force to join my training camp!"
"Harsh as always."
"That's how you create strong and reliable allies."
We left our respective units on their own battles. While Legionnaire is looking for Aria, I will be calling Michelle and ChickB who separated from me to initiate their own battles. We should be able to meet Yogurt at the town centre if all goes well.
Passing through the rowdy streets, I can see that our members have the advantage number and level. They will be able to kill all the average members of BraveHearts, but I doubt they will be done in the required time. I do not expect they can support us when fighting against BraveHeart's Rankers and Filan Soja. Although it is already enough to keep them busy, so Filan Soja's elite group will not have any type of backup.
There is still an hour left before the Territorial War concludes. The defending guild has two options on how to succeed their defence. The first yet the most difficult way is to annihilate the attacking guild to the last person. With no way to replenish force, it is obvious that killing invaders will do the trick.
That is one way, but it barely happens because most of the time the weaker guild is the one on the defensive side. The second option, and the safer one, is to wait for Territorial War timer to end.
If the defending guild has the Territory Title still in possession after the timer is done, they win, and the attackers are automatically removed from the town as losers. So, our only condition in winning this battle is to have the Territory Title on the possession of any of our Guild members for a good three minutes.
Filan Soja should be the one who has the Title currently, but it may differ from time to time depending on the guild. However, hiding it for long is impossible because the person who holds it will have a visible mark on their body. The Territory Title is dropped upon death that is why it might turn into a complicated and chaotic pass around between both guilds.
There are more things to know about how this event goes, but that comes later because our enemy is staring at us.
"Are we all here?"
"No, Yogurt is nowhere to be seen. I guess she met her end among these people… However, her group still did the job and 90% of their range users have perished."
"No way! Sister Yogurt is not that easy to lose."
"I also believe so. There should be no one among BraveHearts who can catch her if things go bad—No, I guess there is someone."
I observed the mysterious Ranker that recently joined their group according to my information. I do not have that much knowledge about him, but base on his equipment, he is already stronger than Filan Soja.
Despite that, he is only waiting on the back while a young man with boorish face have stepped forward and introduce himself.
"Are you sure you five are enough to entertain me? Where is Richest Asian?"
No one answered among us. This man with a haughty attitude should be Filan Soja. His high pitch voice is perfect fit for his lanky body, but his armour and weapon does not say the same. A greatsword which is bigger than Michelle, the rumours surrounding him being a higher Ranker than what his level suggest may be true.
"Not answering me, huh? Not like it matters anyway when I finish all of you. By the way, your assassin friend was not that much of a fight."
"You Bastard!"
"Calm down, Barbeque Rooster. He is clearly provoking you."
"But Brother Legionnaire, I won't let that bastard talk trash to Sister Yogurt."
"Legionnaire is right. If you want to show him whose not to be disrespected, demolish him through fighting…What's the plan, Cherry?"
Aria asked me when I was still scanning through the area. There are eighteen players which I assume are all Rankers including Filan Soja. They might be Rankers, but that does not mean they are players with high ranking. The only recognizable face here is Filan Soja. The other Rankers are not that strong according to what I know.
There still is a possibility they are hiding their strength like the mysterious man at the back although I doubt that is the case considering the circumstances.
"We can fight like how we always do but be wary if that black clad man starts moving. I have a good feeling he is the one who was able to kill Yogurt."
"That's all I need to hear."
"Don't fight him recklessly ChickB, we probably need to team up when dealing with him. And Aria, don't do the same against Filan Soja. He might be weaker than you, but we cannot be careless against a High Ranker.
We began brandishing our weapons for this massively outnumbered fight. They might have three times more people than us, but no one in our group were scared on the match-up.
"Fighting against a small group looks like I am bullying you guys. I never thought the No.3 guild of Twilight City will be a bunch of idiots. Nonetheless, be my steppingstone and die!"
"He really likes to show off in front of the cameras. I feel like I know a certain person who is similar to him. Right, Aria?
"Oi~ I'm not that unlikable."
"Michelle might be right. You two might be compatible to each other."
"Not you too, Cherry."
Our calm demeanour shows how we do not see the people in front of us as difficult enemies. The only person I am wary of is not moving. I do not know the reason why, but that makes our job easier.
With bow at my hand, the clash between the strongest members of each Guild starts.
