"The Territorial War between Gold Paradise and BraveHearts have begun. Two of the strongest guilds in Twilight City is fighting for the right to own Aruna Town."
"We got an exciting match here, partner. Will Richest Asian and his Gold Paradise dominate their opponents like always do? Or will there be a massive upset by the defending Filan Soja and his BraveHearts? All of these will be answered when Gold Paradise begins their siege."
The livestream that I placed on the side of my interface was cut off when we have stepped on to an unfamiliar soil. It is obvious why the internet does not function inside a Territorial War, but the messaging and chat function are also not functioning. Rallying information is done through old school ways like sending messenger people or shouting loudly across the battlefield when inside the war.
I fixed myself now that the transportation is done. It is currently night-time, but the moonlight was enough to shine the whole battlefield visible for the normal people. Far away from our position, we can see Aruna Town illuminating beautifully despite the situation.
"To all front liners—Ready up all your siege bombs that I gave a while ago."
"Boss Legionnaire, a few of us does not have enough."
"Those who don't have enough, go to Yogurt. Guild Leader should have given her the rest of the bombs."
"Yes!"
Legionnaire begun instructing. All of the leaders are also doing the same thing on their group. I already told them collectively on how the plan goes. They should be able to accomplish their part easily.
The first group to move was Yogurt's group. Every single one of them used [Stealth] as they vanish into the darkness. In about three minutes per my estimation, they should be able to reach their designated positions.
Aruna Town's topography is quite easy to invade. The way the town was built is very straightforward. As I can see on the drawn map I obtained with great difficulty, Aruna follows the patter of a pentagon. Every side of it is blocked by a tall wall. But from an insider's information, on the opposite side of where we are currently looking at, there should be a part of the wall where a small group of people can sneak in.
This is what Yogurt and her assassins will use while the main group distract them by fighting up front. They will be ambushing the range users when the time is right.
"Legionnaire, you guys can start moving. You're next Aria. We will be following behind with Michelle's group who will accompany us in case an ambush."
Just like that. 2000 Gold Paradise members begin their march on the command of Legionnaire. Aria's group which mainly composes of attack speed damage dealers, will be joining the frame as soon as the walls of the town falls down under the bombardment of siege bombs every member of Legionnaires' group is holding.
My army will be coming at the scene last after the rest have penetrated the first defence. This time around, Michelle's group have merged with mine because our intel suggests that BraveHearts has a lot of assassin type players. Michelle's melee oriented army is here to protect us in case the opposing party decides to flip the switch ang go offensive.
The distance between where we spawned and Aruna is quite far, but it is not difficult to traverse the flat lands. The numbers of monsters roaming around the vicinity can be counted using both hands despite being weak, so we have no problems there. It might just take some time before we reach our destination.
"You've really changed Cherry."
"What are you talking about?"
"I heard from Aria that you were pretty hesitant to play New World. Even when we formed party in the early days, you did not look as motivated compared to how I see you know."
"I guess I saw the beauty in the game and fell in love with it-- The same might not be said to you though. You don't look as energetic when killing monsters with your greatsword. The level gap between us is a sign of that."
"hehe~ My life outside New World has been more enjoyable these days."
Michelle and I were having a small talk while we wait for Legionnaire's group, who are almost at the target, to succeed in their operation. Since she is happy on what she is doing, what kind of friend am I if I force her to accompany us in this game.
Her words really made me think for a second. Looking back, I can say I have never invested this much in a game except New World. There are a lot of reason why I have reached this point where I became a leader of one of the strongest guilds of New World in general. But I think I know the main cause of my excessive stay in this world, however that is not important now because we are in the middle of a battle.
"Those with the highest HP, use your best defensive skills to tank the volleying boulders!"
"Boss Legionnaire, they have more Trebuchets than we expected."
"Doesn't matter. One or two additional siege engines won't stop our charge. Continue to destroy the wall!"
"Yes!!!"
The vanguards leading the charge are dying in every passing minute. Archers of BraveHearts sitting on top of the thirty metre wall, does not hesitate to rain down arrows on the people below them. These barrage of attacks have definitely lessened the number of players using bombs to blow up the walls, but it was not enough to stop us.
Without even counting up to sixty, a loud crashing sound echoed the battlefield as rubbles fell down from the once what was a sturdy wall.
"The wall is open! Miss LadyQueen, it is time for your group to rush in."
"Alright! You are dependable as always, Legionnaire."
The quicker team went in first inside the hole Legionnaire's group has created while they themselves drank potions to replenish their health before going in again to join the fight.
The archers above have already retreated which means nothing is stopping us now from going in the Town. The assassin team should have now sneaked their way behind. With that, the climax of this clash is now coming.
Letting Aria's group go in first and not Legionnaire's might seem stupid. But because manoeuvring inside a town is difficult for heavy and slow armoured players like Legionnaire's group mostly compose off, they will die faster when they meet the enemy inside.
Filan Soja has not moved away his pieces outside the town, so I assume all members of BraveHearts should be waiting on the streets. In the end, he decided to fight us directly. A bad move for his part. We might have lost some vanguards when we were charging the walls, but the casualties are not enough to change the outcome of the battle.
Those who died are automatically returned to their previous location before being transported here in this Territorial War. Expecting them to come back us up will be impossible under the system. Outsiders like Richest Asian are also not allowed to join in the middle of the war.
*People screaming*
'Aria's group should now be engaged with the enemy. We need to move now before they are surrounded.'
"Legionnaire! Move ahead even if your guys have not yet finished filling their HP. Aria won't be able to handle it for long."
A simple command, and Legionnaire has rallied his troops towards the centre of the clash without hesitation. Michelle and I followed soon after. Thousands of players have entered the territory of the enemy. With a loud and vigorous shout, the outcome of this war is nearing.
