After explaining to them the past events...
"Hmm~ So you got into a fight with Smiling Hound's group. If I am not mistaken, he should be the leader of Royal Prodigies. An infamous guild which is already hated by many in Twilight City. And you recklessly kill steal the boss they were killing."
"Actually, it was ours in the first place."
"Never mind that. It doesn't change the fact you went in their way."
"Are you mad, guild leader?"
I said meekly to appease slightly with Richest Asian.
Aria and Michelle gave me a victory sign when I shared how I killed the Rainbow Serpent. Meanwhile, I can never tell Riches Asian's emotions on that poker face of his.
My actions seem to have more repercussion than I thought. Royal Prodigies, or whatever guild Smiling Hound is on, seems to be something of a big deal.
"They are a bit of a problem. I can say that their guild is most likely to be the top Guild in Twilight City in near future. But luckily it seems you have not met her yet-- It's not Smiling Hound, their leader, that we need to be careful about. In fact, besides his high position in rankings, there is nothing exceptional about him. I am more worried about the person who's controlling from behind the scenes."
"Does this mean we just made an enemy just days after guild is created?"
"No, not yet I believe. If it were a different circumstance, then we might have a problem but now It's completely waste of time and resources to do anything this early and she knows this more than anyone else. But best believe she will remember threats that she thinks would be an obstacle, and it looks like that assassin that you told me, see you as one."
I sighed in relief knowing that I did not completely make a mess just yet. One thing that bothers me though is the person Richest Asian highly regards as problematic. There might be a reason why he will not give more details concerning this player.
As much as how troubling it seems, hearing this explanation somehow gave me peace of mind. I am going to say I am good to go, but Richest Asian's poker face did not tell so. The followings words he said were the least you want to hear, at least for us students.
"Before I leave, I am going to give homework for the three of you. Since no one among you have visited the Guild Hall yet, I will ask some questions concerning the basic knowledge of guild management. As much as I want you girls to focus solely on levelling up, there are still things you need to know when you are in a guild. Anyone who can't answer tomorrow would have their Officer ranking removed."
"Are you serious!? Are you a teacher or what in the real world?!"
"He got a point, Aria. We can't have a piece of the bread for free."
"Grrr~ My 10,000."
So we bid our farewell to our leader and immediately ran to the Guild Hall while our Guild Leader separated halfway because he was coming with for a different purpose, to purchase the Guild Base.
There was a lot of players still going in and out of the Guild Hall, but fortunately, we do not need to go in. Sir Pecan, or the guild guide, is located outside where people can easily access information concerning anything about the guild.
He gave us a thick book comparable to any calculus book or a dictionary of the English language. Nightmares were coming in when I felt the weight of what we would be reading.
"What the hell is this! You're telling me we need to read all of this to have our 10,000"
"Relax. Read the first few pages. There's a summary of everything."
"Oh, you're right. So why did they have this thick book anyway?"
Despite her many complaints, we sat on a bench near the Moonlight fountain and read the content of the first pages until one by one we fall from having a headache. Even with the summarization, it was too much for a single sitting. I am amazed that Richest Asian was able to read this in only a matter of days.
I have learned many things in it no matter how difficult it was. But in the middle of understanding the details, there was a guild announcement.
[Guild Gold Paradise have successfully purchased a guild base.
Members of Gold Paradise are now qualified to accept Beginner Guild Quests.
Members of Gold Paradise are blessed with Guardian's Aura Lv.1]
[Guild Skill: Guardian's Aura Lv.1]
Attack +1%
Defence +1%
Experience gain +5%.
Experience gain +10% when Gold Paradise members are in the same party
The benefits of having a guild immediately showed up when Richest Asian have purchased the Guild Base. The badges on our body glowed slightly when the announcement came out alerting everyone on the guild chat.
[Wow! Finally, we have a guild base. I wonder when our leader is going to purchase it.]
[Did he ask any kind of gold contribution?]
[Well Played. I can now brag this to my classmates. I'm right that we should have joined this guild. I am already having the true benefits of a guild while theirs is still having a hard time collecting the gold for a Guild Base.]
It was an uproar for the members of Gold Paradise in the guild chat. Even those were not active in the guild chat have sent out at least a single message to join the celebration. Richest Asian carried on with hype and type an announcement for these people.
The content of it was mostly the same last time with some tweaks, but it is the same list of rules for the new members that came in who were not able to see it before.
"Now that I think about it, what's the status of our guild."
[Guild Name: Gold Paradise]
Guild Level: 1
Guild's Experience: 0/10,000
Leader: Richest Asian
Members: 400/400
"The future #1 guild in World Ranking"
Guild Rank:
City – 97th
World – N/A
It now says how many points we have and need to level up the guild level and our City Ranking has been updated. Having a guild base is the first thing to be eligible in the rankings for guilds.
I expected to be somewhat low when it comes to the guild rankings because our members are quite low levelled. Supposedly, the guild ranking ranks a guild base on the total levels of all members of a guild, so maximum capacity guilds will always have a better chance being listed in the ranking.
Meanwhile the for what is Guild's Experience, the book of guild guide said that there are mainly three ways in gathering guild experience. Killing lots of monsters, Guild quests, and Guild Territory.
Doing a normal hunt can add experience for the Guild, but this method is the slowest among the three. From what I read, you should kill a hundred or more monsters same as your level to just add 1 point in the Guild's Experience. Naturally, stronger monsters give more.
Guild Territory is unavailable for the meantime since we do not have any village or towns occupied.
Lastly, the fastest way to level up a Guild is through Guild quests. We can accept them through our guild post-board located in our Guild Base. Sadly, our guild base is just a room in one of these buildings for the meantime.
I told the group that we should visit the Guild Base next, but since it was late, they suggested that we would be doing it tomorrow.
