When I look at the guildboard, the game has given me a total of six Beginner Guild Quest to choose from. Each one was written in a dull wooden coloured paper.
[Beginner Quest: Goblin Slayer]
[Beginner Quest: A Knight's Errand]
[Beginner Quest: Escort Manuel]
[Beginner Quest: Killer Bee]
[Beginner Quest: Slay Torus]
[Beginner Quest: Slay Hydrophis]
The list was listed from lowest to the highest level recommendation. A familiar name even showed when I was browsing through these quests.
Another thing that can be noticed when looking over the board is the timer when the quest will be refreshed. Ten hours left before the list will be refreshed again, and from what I heard, it would refresh in every twelve hours.
Partying up to do the quest is also not a problem because every member of the guild has the same guild quest no matter when they will accept it as long as it is still in the time period. Taking all six of them at the same time is also an option, but due to the nature that these monsters located far from each other, it is not recommended.
Maybe sometime when we get lucky and these Guild Quest will be favourably taken together.
I knew all of this because all information regarding guild quest was the first thing I read about in the guild guidebook that we crammed yesterday. If we did not attempt to open the guide yesterday, I am sure we would be tackling the forums for questions regarding the guildboard.
One thing that can really help to know this stuff instead of reading a book is a button or a click on the guildboard that can help a player understand how to initiate these quests.
I am noticing that this is a recurring problem here in New World. I do not know if it is just lazy programming or their advocacy of discovering everything in the game, but I can say it is very annoying.
Enough being sidetracked-- I asked the group what we would be taking for today and unsurprisingly, they chose the slaying of Hydrophis. None of the other quests seems to be in the area where we would be farming.
[Slay Hydrophis]
Difficulty: Beginner Guild Quest
Requirement: Hydrophis Elegante defeated 0/20
Quest Rewards: 5 Guild Experience
Quest Duration: 23:59:56
"Geh! Is that really all the rewards?!"
"What did you expect. It's New World we're talking about. A quest that gives good rewards come once in a blue moon. That's why I want to slap Cherry for being lucky to encounter one."
"Hahaha, you can but avoid dirtying my pendant."
"How annoying~"
"Jokes aside, the guild experience is really small. All of us should do at least 2000 of this type of quest if we want our guild to level up. The 5000 guild experience rewarded to Burning Lotus really pushed them for level 2."
We had no choice but to accept what we have and go back to the Clouded Marsh. The monsters there may now give little experience although it will not take long to drive by and proceed to our next hunting ground.
Our next destination is a valley located on the map that should be between two sky-high mountains. From the cheap and undetailed map, we bought, reaching there should only take minutes after we leave the Marsh.
After our business in the guild base, it was time for another expedition.
"Did everyone finish their maintenance? I don't want to go back halfway because someone here forgot to buy something in the general store."
"All good, Leader."
The group was complete once again. Barbeque Rooster is always ready to party with us anytime we ask of him. A well-trained personnel by Aria. Meanwhile, Fifty Silver is having a break from his job that is why he is spending most of his time these days in New World.
"Fifty Silver, have you accepted the Hydrophis Guild Quest."
"Guild quest? Not yet."
"Michi, guide Fifty Silver to our Guild Base."
"Wow! Gold Paradise was able to purchase a Guild Base already?"
Michelle and Fifty Silver left the scene while the rest of us were left sitting near the Moonlight Fountain. ChickB is energetic as always as he shouted and attracted many gazes on to us.
"Yea. How about your guild, ChickB?"
"We don't really care much about it. There's only 30 of us in the guild anyway. I can't imagine us having 20,000 gold anytime soon."
"How about joining our guild when we reach Level 2? We have quite a bit of power to ask our leader for a favour."
"Really! I'll ask my friendsif they want to join later."
We were chilling while we wait for Michi and Fifty Silver to return. It did not take long and when we were together again, we left the city and began our journey.
Nothing unusual happened during the hour-long travel which was relaxing for the most part. We only needed to avoid the players who are battling here and there when we passed by them.
The game has been up for more than a week now, and the average players are also progressing steadily. The densest player population have already spread throughout the area where Level 15-18 monsters reside. It is important to take notice of things like these because our guild members are mainly composed of average level players.
I have been reading the guidebook to pass time while we are travelling. Besides taking note of information that could be questioned later in midnight by Richest Asian, I have been thinking of ways how to strengthen our guild.
One way and the only way we can significantly improve our guild strength now without levelling the guild up is through Guild Territory or finding an occupiable land to take over like what Burning Lotus Sect just did.
Although doing this is certain have some difficult not only because occupying any type of land supposedly have a lot of requirement before it is officially a territory of the guild but also, finding one is a challenge.
The places we saw and to went are only covering one percent or even less of the whole New World. And from the look of it, villages are starting to show up in Level 20+ areas.
This is only my rough estimate on how villages, towns, and especially unknown cities could be comparable to finding a needle in a haystack. And someway somehow, ChickB was able to stumble upon one.
