Shen worked hard on his techniques and his cultivation over the course of the week he trained his techniques to the 4th level and cultivated to the 5th level while he raised his comprehension of the element of lightning. He also completed 4 tasks and earned 5,600 contribution points from doing so. He bought a new weapon before the tournament which costed 1,000 contribution points. The weapon was a morning star that had a lions mane as the spikes and the top of the weapon was a lion with a stoic look as if proud. Shen used his axe techniques with the morning star and noticed that his second technique was incompatible with this weapon so he went and bought a technique that is specific for the morning star and bought one that created an after image of the weapon so that after 5 seconds a slightly weaker strike will occur but the after image is proportional to the actual strike the technique cost him 1000 points as well Shen did not get rid of his axe he just had them in separate holsters/sheaths on his person since he couldn't use all his techniques on one weapon so he decide to switch between the two when necessary.
Shen was confident about the tournament with his current enhancements to technique and cultivation even though he had only reached the 5th level of cultivation for the tournament that would begin in only a few days he couldn't help but feel that he would do pretty well in this upcoming tournament. Shen walked around the clan and could only imagine the level of his first tournament as cultivator he was excited and had trouble hiding it. He walked around the clan and took in the sights of the deep almost gem like gleam of the blue highlight on all the buildings and hand rails. He continued to wear his dull and uninteresting outer disciples garbs and set his mind on becoming an inner disciple for this clan when he could and even planned to learn from an elder if possible Shen wanted to show his strength and attract attention from the higher ups if at all possible. He walked while these thoughts swarmed through his head and he ended up in front of one of the clans gates heading out into the Forest but he did not notice as he was lost in thought he only knew he was walking and that he had stopped taking in the sights of the clan a while ago. He walked further and further away until he noticed that he was in front of a cave that seemed hidden away and camouflaged from the eyes of those that weren't looking for it or those that weren't lead to it "Go ahead enter the cave although this may be abruptly done it is a necessity" Said a voice in a whisper Shen knew this voice for it was that of the Goddess and although he did not know what it was she spoke of he trusted her voice and stepped into the cavern after squeezing his way into the gap between the rocks he noticed that he felt himself pass through something as all of a sudden a new wave of air passed over him when he stepped fully inside of the cave which seemed to have been shaped by a bolt of savage lightning as the walls seemed to forever radiate high temperatures and lightning yuan energy just being in this environment he felt his understanding of it reach a new level this cave seemed to be a holy ground of lightning which could draw ones potential to the peak. Shen was in shock when he heard the Goddess again "Hurry into the depths of this cavern you have a limited amount of time" Shen heard that and began wandering into the cave a bit deeper before he turned one of the jagged corners within this cave and saw that there was a door with a symbol of a flower with ten petals and each petal had its own pattern etched into in them in a mysterious way seemingly keeping the energy used to carve through the door alive the pattern was still before but when Shen walked up to the door, it became apparent that the pattern was simply dormant for this pattern came to life as soon as Shen approached it.
