You embrace Link, thankful that your Personal Knight is safe. You look around at Hyrule and see what is left of that you managed to save. You ponder over the fact that after 100 years of torment, you and Link were able to defeat Ganon, the malice that had taken over the land. You think that maybe, just maybe, life can go back to the way it was.
Link musters his strength, takes your hand in his, and walks you over to where his horse, Epona, is standing.
"Zelda, we must get back to the castle," he says.
You look at him in shock and disbelief, overcome with surprise that he, of all people, spoke. He smiles at you, winks, and helps you onto Epona, then hopping on himself. And just like that, he's silent again, as he usually is.
You remember so clearly what he said that one time: "With so much at stake, and so many eyes upon me, it is better to bear any burden silently…" You look around, sigh, and let yourself fall into your knight's arms, and fall asleep to the silent rhythm of hoof beats on your way to the castle. As you fall asleep looking at Link's face, you wonder, and worry, of what is to come.
