Chapter 22 - It Was Absolutely Perfect.

After Sarah had thought for a moment she walked away from the dress and out of the set. Right into the mature oak trees and rows of flowers.

Voices rang out around the set, "She cheats!" "She's not allowed to leave!" "That's against the rules!"

Sarah just ignored them and kept walking.

-

When Sarah reached the rows and rows of flowers she looked at them up and down.

Bending down, Sarah picked flowers. She picked beautiful pink and white flowers. Only choosing the most beautiful and bright flowers. Suddenly, like she was struck by lightning, Sarah sprung up to her feet, dashing over to another row of flowers, her eyes never leaving one in particular.

When she finally reached the one special flower, she carefully picked it. Reaching down as far as she could get and plucking it from the bed of other flowers. Sarah then realized that she had been subconsciously searching for this flower. She had known that the dress had needed something special and this was it.

She had found it.

Sarah trekked back to the event set with an armful of flowers. When people had finally noticed that Sarah was back, she was already at the table, sorting the colors by color and then into size. She set her special flower to the side.

She ran all the way back to the trees and plucked a few bright green leaves from the low branches.

When she had everything she wanted to make the headpiece she set to work once again.

She weaved and occasionally stitched or cut.

When she was done she stepped back to look at her head piece. After a few more adjustments and the decision to add some small rhinestones she picked it up and placed it on the 'head' of the mannequin. Remembering her special flower she picked it up and placed it right in the enter.

She had made a flower crown. The flower crown was lush with bright, vibrant flowers. Rhinestones that were meant for acrylic nails were on the petals or hidden with the stems of the flowers. When light glinted at the headpiece the hidden gems would shimmer, making it look almost magical.

In the center of the crown there was a beautiful, pink and white flower. All the ther flowers were pink or white but this one was both. The majority of the flower was pink but it had white marbled into it. Like somebody had made the flower to look like white chocolate was drizzled on top.

Sarah looked over to the sand timer and estimated 20 minutes left. She used this time to find a pair of pretty, silver flats.

The same voice came over the hidden speaker and said "5 minutes left."

Sarah made a few more stitches in the dress's newly attached sleeve.

"3 minutes left"

Sarah added a few rhinestones onto the collar of the dress.

"1 minute left"

Sarah took a step back to look at her design. The dress was absolutely gorgeous.

The pale, pink fabric with the dress paired perfectly with the white satin gloves.

The pearly white silk gloves with the rose embroidery accented the elegance of the dress.

The bright, vibrant flower crown brought some fun and lively notes to the dress, the pale pink, marbled, intricate flower reminded the viewer that this piece still matched the elegant dress.

It was absolutely perfect.

This was the exact vision Sarah had when looking into the mirror the moment she had tried it on.

No vail blocked the face of the lady who would wear it.

The dress would now be suitable for many events. Cocktail parties, simple events. This would also suit something as important as a ball.

The one sleeve gave off a sense of mischief but the beautiful, embroidered gloves brought elegance and class to the design.

"3… 2… 1…" There was a loud buzz and the last grain of sand fell into the bottom of the hourglass.

"The design section of this competition is over. We will now take both dresses to the judges. We have two identical twins with us. They have similar body types and facial features. This way the appearance of the models will not affect the dress or it's design."

The models stepped into the curtained off area to change into the dresses. After about 5 minutes there was a ding of a bell to signal that both models were ready to show of the dresses.

"First, We have the original design of John Terra! He calls this design 'hidden peony' to represent both the color of the dress and the mysteriousness of a lady wearing a gorgeous gown but hiding her face.

The first twin opened the curtain and dainty walked out of the dressing room. Her hand clasped gently in front of her. She gave a little twirl and landed into a curtsey. Shyly waving up at the group of spectators before walking up to the judging panel for closer inspection.

The judges touched the fabric, peered at the vail. They admired the small silver crown that sat upon her head.

They wrote down notes and thanked the model, finally dismissing her after 5 minutes of inspection from the panel.

Then there was another ding of a bell from the dressing room and the 2nd Model was announced, "Next, we have the altered design of John Terra's, now by Lady Sarah Benson! She calls this particular design 'gloves' to represent the beautiful, handmade gloves and to show that, and I quote, "You tried, but your plan backfired." Although I'm not sure what that really means…" The speaker's voice trailed off. He stuttered and quickly amended his statement by saying "P-Please welcome model 2!"

The model glided out of the curtained off section and stood in the middle of the courtyard, her walk graceful and elegant. When she was halfway to the judging block she did the same twirl into a curtsey that her twin had done in the other dress. And gave the audience the same polite wave.

But, unlike her sister, instead of continuing her same graceful and elegant walk, she sashayed a bit. Her hips swing like a runway model.
