Just as I thought about getting some sleep on the way to Eastern City, there was an attack on the carriage I was riding in. Almost as if something was telling me that a break was not possible. It was at these moments that I wished that I brought the others along.
Meanwhile, the others.....
The five warriors: Brim, Rock, Femur, Mangola, and Gert were lounging around the sitting area each doing their own thing. "I'm so bored, Castian took the little Prince somewhere and the Queen is out doing city check-ups. Why am I stuck here with you guys?" Mangola says with an exaggerated sigh of boredom. "You're stuck here with us because the Queen decided that she wasn't taking any escorts with her. I'm concerned, since all she has is that damned carriage driver." Femur says with an even bigger sigh. It's true that the Queen was almost unbeatable, but that does not make her immortal. There is someone out there that's way more powerful, someone besides Prince Ying. Though honestly, he might not be able to beat her now since their Queen had been building her magical power.
The door to the sitting area swings open, a panicked Lexor stood there as pale as a ghost. None of them ever seen him like this, and there was only one person that could put a face on Lexor like that. And that's the Queen. He didn't have to say a word for them to understand the direness of the situation, instead they all followed behind him to the Queen's room. The room they entered was filled with ladies in waiting, and the Queen amongst all them was lying on her bed with no reaction. Almost as if she was dead. "What the hell is this? Why does the Queen look so plae?" Rock asked. "It was just moments ago that the carriage driver brought her back. She was barely breathing and her clothes were completely bloody." Lexor says, his voice had actually cracked a bit.
"What the fuck happened? What do you mean bloody?" Femur yells grabbing Lexor by the collar. Mangola and Gert had to pull him off him before he let loose his abilities in the room. "Calm down. It's not Lexor's fault. We should be taking down whoever put our Queen in this position." Rock says his voice trembling. "Rock's right," Gerts says, "Lexor, was it her blood? She has no scars." He asked. Lexor shook is head, "I don't know, I don't think so. But she was definitely harmed, I think magic was used." He answers. Gert heads to the door. "Gert, where are you going?" Brim asked. He stops with his hand on the knob, "to find some answers. That carriage driver must know something." He says before leaving out the door. Brim rushes after him, "I'll also come." The others look at each other and leave Lexor by the Queen's side.
In Brinewood Kingdom....
Castian and the Little Prince is clueless about what's going on in Golden Dragon Kingdom. Right now they were out getting Ranessa a gift. It was what the little Prince wanted to do really badly, since the Queen's birthday was coming up in a few days. "Do you think Mommy will want this necklace?" Prince Bun Ji asked pointing at a pretty red ruby necklace sitting on a merchant's stand. Castian, who had been in the middle of a trade deal, turns to take a look. The ruby on the necklace shined brightly, "I think Mommy would love this, how much is this ma'am?" Castian asked the woman. She smiles at them, "you sir, have a good eye. It's actually a special necklace." The woman holds the necklace out to the little boy. "It's sure to chase away that special someone's nightmares." She adds.
Castian pulls out a pouch filled with coins, "How much?" He asked. "Two hundred Zol." She answers. He tosses down two gold coins, "sir this is too much." She says with a frown. "Keep it, thanks for not trying to overcharge a kid." He says as they left. "Uncle Castian? Why did we come to another kingdom to get mommy a present?" Prince Bun Ji asked as Castian picks him up and carries him back to the carriage. It was a pretty good question, considering there was a Market in Golden Dragon Kingdom now, and ever since the port and fieff was set up; they managed to get a few kingdoms to trade with them. There was also the fact that more people were starting to come to the market. Just as the Queen had wished, Market City was beginning to boom and make money.
"We're going home now?" Prince Bunji asked as Castian sat him on the carriage seat and then climbs in next to him, "yeah, we're going home now." Castian answers as the thought of seeing Ranessa's smiling face made him wish that he was there right now. "How about we make the carriage go vroom?" Castian asked Prince Bun Ji who eyes begins to shine brightly with excitement. "We make the carriage go vroom, that way we get home faster." He says as he lets out his mana. The carriage lifts into the air and just like that they were flying at super speed.
