Golden Dragon Palace: Guest Room
Gert opens the door to one of the guest rooms. There, the carriage driver was sitting on one of the sofas. His face was damn near paler than the Queen's. He looks over at them and stands immediately to bow, "no need, we came here for answers." Gert says as the five warriors took a seat across from him. "I will do my best to tell you what I know." He says. Brim shakes her head at Femur who looked quite impatient, "what is your name?" Brim asked. "Oman, I have just recently been hired as the Queen's carriage driver." He answers. "First of all, we would like to thank you for making sure our Queen made it back." Mangola says. "I could have been more of help, but I was useless. Even though I got her here, she was still injured greatly." Oman says his expression showed true regret.
"I understand, tell us what happened."
Oman folds his hands into his lap, his expression grew dark as he seemed to go back to when it happened. "It came out of nowhere I can tell you that. On our way to Eastern City, we were attacked by assassins. They were normal, the Queen defeated them no problem. But there was someone there amongst them that was different. Whoever they were possessed a strange magic that caused damage to the Queen. Her light magic was not working properly and somehow used against her. I didn't know how, but she was hurt by her own magic. She was in so much pain, there was blood pooling from her mouth and eyes. After awhile she fell to the ground and was out cold, and that person was already gone."
They sat there in dread, to think that happened while they were just here sitting around doing nothing. Not only did it explain everything about her internal injuries but it made total sense. Light magic was dangerous especially against the person who uses it, if used against them it could be catastrophic. Lexor steps in, "Duke Castian and Prince Bun Ji are with the Queen." He says. The five glance at each other, this was definitely not good. They rushed back to the Queen's side, If it's Castian he most likely wouldn't be able to hold back his anger. Once they entered the room they noticed Bun Ji crying by the Queen's side. On the other side of the Queens bed, was Castian, if looks could kill then right now they would all be dead.
He didn't look up at all once they entered the room, "who did this to her?" His tone was so cold that they could see the windows frosting, even his aura turned black to the point that they could see his dark energy surrounding him. It was Rock who answered, the rest of them were at a loss for words, "we don't know exactly." Rock says then jumped into telling Castian what the carriage driver told them. After the explanation Castian slams his fist into the wall creating a large hole. It was definitely frustrating that they didn't have any more than that bit of information.
Bun Ji reaches over and touches the Queen's hand, they saw a soft light coming from him. "What's happening?" Mangola asked. None of them knew why the Queen accepted Bun Ji as her son. They never questioned her judgement because they were all taken in by the Queen themselves. She may be young, even too young to take in a kid, but she has always proved to be mature for her age, "I see a very bad man with same hair color as Mommy." Bun Ji says removing his hand. Same hair color as The Queen? They all look at each other, there was only one person who matched that description, but that was impossible. For him to already strike, there must be a bigger force above him. "If I ever find that fat bastard, I'll kill him." Castian says angrily.
"Are you sure you're not mistaking, Little Bun Ji?" Brim asked walking over to the little prince. Bun Ji nods, "is mommy going to be alright?" He asked as Brim lifts him up into her arms. They all leave the room and headed to the throne area, "after we're done, we will make sure she is." Castian says. Looking at him, he looks ready to kill someone, anyone who had anything to do with the Queen's situation. Whoever had part in this should probably hide or run, but it wouldn't really matter since they will score every inch of the other these kingdoms to find them.
