Chapter 12 - CH 12: Childhood Bestfriend

The last day to wait for Castian to return has arrived, if he doesn't arrive today I will have no choice but to accept Prince Ying's proposal to become allies. I really really didn't like the idea, if it was possible I'd love to punch the guy in the face just one last time for killing me ninety-nine times. He may not remember any of them and in actual fact it is my fault. But damn he really irritates me just thinking about the times I died by his hands. Not this time, not only will I never choose the life of a villainess in this life, but I refuse to even get involved with him in the least. Lexor enters and does a quick bow, "Her Majesty Ranessa has a visitor." He says as again I'm greeted by an irritating person.

"You're looking beautiful as always, Ranessa." Colbin Defler, my childhood bestfriend, says. People just keep popping up, this one in articular was just as bad as I was in all my lives but he's useful. "Cut the crap Col, why have you come to my kingdom?" I asked with a heavy glare. He pretends to shiver, "ooh, it just got colder in here." He says as he reaches over and attempts to pick up a paper off my desk. I smack his hand, "don't stall, tell me or I'll kick you out of here so fast that you'd never realize it was happening." I say. "The same as usual, I heard my dear friend has taken up the life of a good person. Some crack story that you were possessed by demons. It was really hilarious." He says.

So that was it, he wanted to see if the rumors are true, "don't you have better things to do than sniff around my business, like I don't know torturing some poor defenseless soul?" I ask crossing my arms. This guy was actually a sadist under all that pretty skin of his, it almost makes me sick to the stomach seeing the things he's done in my life as his friend. I admit though he is a great information source. What I don't know he does, I'm not sure how he does it. "Wait, it's true isn't it? You gave up being bad...well I'll be damned." He leans back though he didn't look surprised or upset. Instead he looked neutral about it, "what? No snide comment?" I ask. He chuckles, "nah, not really it doesn't affect my friendship with you whichever route you choose. Just don't expect me to change as well." He points out.

"By the way on the way into the city I noticed it got a new look, and the palace it's a thousand,... no a million times better than before." He gives a wave before going over to my door, "wait, I was wondering if you can get some information for me." I say before he could get far. He glances back at me, "what do I get in return?" He asks his eyes dropped down to my chest. I refuse to cover my breast; this pervert, "stop being an ass, I don't owe you anything, need I remind you I know all your dirty little secrets." I say watching him squirm just a bit. "Fine, I'll get the information." He mutters. I smile sweetly, "I figured we were on the same page, any who...I want to get information on the merchants that travel without contracts. There has got to be a few who want to settle down in a kingdom." I say.

"I see, with your reputation as a former villainess I might have to embellish a bit, but I can definitely see what I can do. I might know a few people." He says with a nod. After giving him a few more tasks he was gone, I was left to my work once more, at this moment coming up with laws for the newly named kingdom and main city was important. We had just finished building the market and fixing the roads, tomorrow we start on the that would help commute goods and people faster. Today is going to be hectic, I'll have to also assign Castian as the leader of the six warriors since Rock stepped down from the position willingly. Another problem was my meeting with Prince Ying Su, ugh think happy thoughts.
