"Holy crap, did they just say King?" Mangola asked, I admit the news had me completely shocked, I didn't even know this all the times I died and reincarnated. "They did, and not just any king, he's a Romaine." Rock points out. We all look at him, "wait have you heard of him?" Brim asks. Rock blows out a breath, "that's right, I'm suprised that you guys never heard of him. He's actually well-known all over, King Castian Romaine of Romaine Kingdom. He's legendary, they called him the Red Devil." Rock explaines. I turn my gaze back to the man, "wait, how can he just so happen to be a king, this is bullshit." Prince Ying says angrily. Castian smirks, "I had to do something to keep the flies away." He says glaring at Prince Ying.
"I won't give up." Prince Ying turns to me, "Queen Ranessa, I will return." He then walks away to the carriage that waited to the side for him and was gone down the mountain. "You should come in to explain yourself to the Queen." Mangola says as they all made their way into the palace. The day went in a flash as they learned the truth behind Castian's secrets, turns out that he was almost assassinated by his own brother which is how he ended up in her kingdom. After learning the truth I sent everyone away, I needed time to think about everything I learned today, that's when a dove with a message came flying in.
I gently grabbed the dove and untied the message to read it:
You have been invited to the royal banquet in the Imperial Palace of Guman Kingdom.
I laid the paper down, Guman Kingdom, huh. I heard of them, they were always neutral amongst all the nobles and didn't ever show their opinion in the society. So why are they suddenly getting involved? To even go as far to invite me to their kingdom, I smile, I'm a little interested in what they want to say. "Lexor." I call as he immediately appears before me, "send a message to Guman Kingdom, I'll be delighted to attenfd their banquet." I say. He bows before dissappearing once more, " I guess I'll have to make as many allies, perhaps getting to know the rulers of Guman Kingdom is a start." I mutter.
Castian walks in and bows low, "I do apologise for my rudeness My Queen, but don't you think you had enough time to think?" He asks his piercing grey eyes staring at me. This man is getting bold, and it 's understandable since in reality he's a King which is above myself. And yet he still chooses me as his Queen, though for some reason it sounded a bit intimate when he says it. I think I have become aware of this man, I cannot allow myself to get distracted just because he has become someone attractive in my eyes. I'm a virgin of a hundred reincarnations for one, and for two; I don't have time for romance, but here I am not able to draw my gaze from those eyes.
"I think you should leave my study." I say instead, if he doesn't leave he'll make me cave and I really hate this unknown feeling that has been building since he came back. Castian doesn't budge, "I'm sorry but if I leave I won't be able to explain myself." He says. Does he think she was angey because of what he hid? It's probably best to let him believe that, but then she'd feel bad and it'll keep her up at night, "no need to explain yourself, everyone has a few secrets, including myself." I tell him. "Ah, by the way I'll need an escort to Guman Kingdom's banquet, why don't..." I trailed as I realized what I just did. "Sure, I'll escort you." He says with a smile that lit up his handsome face. I don't think I can take back my offer when he shows such an expression of delight. I shot right to my heart.
Castian leaves my office and I sat there completely confused, I should get back to work perhaps it'll take my mind off a certain someone that just left my study. I glanced over a few financial reports, with the Kingdom's treasury filled with gold and diamonds now, there was not much to worry about, I can now move forward with the Fieff and Port Plan, then a banking system to help new and old merchants that will soon fill the market. They will want a way to stock up on their goods, something to start them off, but of course they will have to pay it back. A loan, that's what I will call it. I wrote some of the plans down and began to draw my next few plans for these few building plans. Since the market, the port, and well managed shops of many types is what will draw people to the main city then ai have to find something special about the other nine cities.
I glance over all the reports given by Lexor from Mangola, each of the city was worse of and gets even worse by the last city. The city closest to Majesty city was also large in size and the damage there was great, according to Mangola there was one thing about that city that made it special, it's where the empty farms are more fertile. So it would be perfect to raise cattle and grow crops here, this could bring in more food selections, the problem was the lack of citizens. So far ten soldiers had been added to the palace thanks to Castian, but I'm still waiting for the merchants that I sent for to show up. I sigh, it's a lot of work to manage a Kingdom with ten empty cities, I really wish that I paind more attention those ninety-nine times I was alive.
