The house, the refuge, the forbidden place, the Lord's lair had always been silent. Always. Over time, it has grown and modified according to its desires and needs. If before he needed to shut himself up, to be invisible to breathe, now he didn't care about being visible. He loved the sight of his lake, his forest, his family. Coming back very early in the day to make sure everything was going well, he didn't expect everything to be so good. Laughter could be heard around the house. Sincere laughter, in his once-silent lair, and it pulled him pleasantly out of bed. He walked over to the large windows of his bedroom, before yanking the curtains open. Day and Nyx, along with their children, seemed to be having what the blond called afternoon tea on the fully glazed veranda. Without further ado, he dressed and put on his boots before going to join them.
"Grandfather!" Gold exclaimed happily when he saw him arrive. "I was right, he came! I won tonight's dinner!"
