Two months ago.
Minndt hadn't seen him coming and even though his instincts screamed at him not to approach the drugstore, he did. He walked into the all-white and green medicine outlet and he had bought these medicines so that Day could more easily manage his heat if he were to be alone when it came back. Everything had to be planned but in the middle of the day, he hadn't planned to be attacked. It all started in the large drugstore where a strange man was watching him insistently. The god of spirit and feelings was escaping his gaze and trying to focus on the box of suppressors he was reading when the man came to him.
"Is this for you?" he asked him without warning, wringing a shudder from the god.
"No, I'm not an omega. I'm buying them for a friend."
"You're not an alpha either, are you?"
"Indeed. Excuse me, I have to go now."
Minndt started to leave when the man grabbed his wrist firmly to bring it back to its original place.
"Let go of me now." ordered the god while trying to release his hold.
"Be careful when you go out, the wolves are on the prowl."
"Let me go."
"You are very cute for a beta, you might be mistaken for an omega at first glance."
"What is this, an old-fashioned classification?"
"Vexed?"
"Let go of me right now where I make a scandal."
"And what, will you tell them you're the god Minndt?"
The latter raised his eyes and met the man's mocking and threatening gaze and his carnivorous smile, like that of a wolf who was about to pounce on its prey and devour it. It was dangerous. He had to leave immediately. The deity sharply pulled his arm and took several steps back before turning and going to the cash register, under the amused gaze of the man who had accosted him. When Minndt turned to exit, he was no longer there.
"Are you alright sir?" asked the pharmacist from the cash register.
"Everything is fine, don't worry about me."
It was a lie but the god of spirit and feelings could not bring himself to accentuate the nervousness of the young woman. He said goodbye to her with a simple nod of the head and went out into the street where not a car was passing. Absolute calm. Across the street, the owner of the pub where Day worked waved a quick monkey back at the god who returned it to him before walking past a black van. Before he even had time to figure it out, the side door of the van opened and Minndt was pushed into the alley before he found himself slammed against a wall. His wrists were quickly tied with a short rope as his skull was pressed against the concrete wall.
"We do the little errands for the Lord's omega son." his assailant sneered close to his ear. "He's ripe, is he? He's late… Is he okay physically, psychologically?"
"Do not approach him!"
"But it's already done, I'll call you back."
"Don't even try to touch it!"
"That hasn't been done yet."
The assailant tightened his grip on his hair and knotted wrists, pressing himself a little more against him.
"However, I've always had a weakness for beta's like you ..." the man whispered, wincing with pleasure as a shiver ran through the god's body.
"What…?"
"They are much less complicated than omegas since they don't have heat. You are to my liking."
"Let go of me immediately, please."
"I don't like it, I had a hard time getting you to myself. I have a question for you."
"I don't want to hear it, shut up."
"Are you going to stay this calm any longer or are you just trying to cover up your fear?"
"What do you want from me in the end?"
"I find you fascinating, knowing what people are thinking, wanting, hiding… what am I thinking about now?"
"To something that makes you disgusting!"
Minndt's head was pulled back before being slammed against the wall once, then a second time before his whole body was pushed onto the muddy, unsanitary ground of the half-dark alley. The space between the two houses was too small for him to escape without having to confront his attacker who stepped forward with two other men. The man with the one white wick stepped back as best he could when he saw the attacker pull out a necklace with an orange stone in the centre.
"Be nice, I want just to keep you under my control. It won't hurt for long." lied the man crudely when these two subordinates grabbed Minndt's legs.
"Let go of me I…"
The god's words of spirit and feelings faded against the palm of one of those men he understood to be a vampire. His skin was too cold to be human in these temperatures. A violent convulsion ran through her body as the necklace tightened around her neck. His powers stirred in his veins and his thoughts became perpetual chaos punctuated by the irregular and violent beating of his heart. It didn't take long for tears to roll down her slightly chubby cheeks.
"You are beautiful." His assailant sincerely complimented him after getting up and taking a few steps away. "Let's take a picture for your friends with your phone. What's your schematic code?"
"Stop it, takeoff it takeoff for pity!"
"Please? Now is not the time to beg me, you will when you are standing on your knees… Your schematic code now, we have to hurry."
"It's an M… Please take it off I'm not going to use my powers, I promise you."
"But you're fine with it, it goes with your clothes. Let go, he can't run away now."
The two vampires walked away to let their leader take the photograph he liked to send to Day, embellishing it with a little message that seemed funny to him.
"Here we go, I'm hungry." the man ordered coldly, looking around.
"Are we dragging him on the floor, boss?"
"No! Don't mess him up any more than he already is, I won't see his beautiful face anymore."
"Yes, Boss."
Minndt was straightened up with disconcerting ease and half-dragged into the van into which he was roughly thrown. Whoever was appointed boss was soon up when the police sirens sounded in the distance and the van drove off rapidly. He turned right once, left once and the god would have continued to count the number of times the van turned if a hand had not rested on his thigh. Out of pure reflex, he gave a kick that missed its mark, amused by the situation and stepped forward dangerously to corner it in the back. There was no way out.
"My name is Orthon Monty." The man introduced himself, placing his hands firmly on his knees.
"Nothing to worry about, get your hands off me." summoned the man with the only white lock between clenched teeth.
"What is your name?"
"Your hands."
"Your name."
Faced with the invasion of hands running down the inside of his thighs, Minndt had the reflex to curl one leg against him before kicking his assailant's crotch.
"Stop fiddling with me!" he moaned between gasps of pain from the collar.
"Oh, you look like that when you lose your patience…I like it. You use poor punches but I like it."
"Stay away from me, stop!"
"If you're nice, I'll take off this necklace that seems to hurt you."
"Take it off, I'm not going to do anything I just want it to stop!"
"Tell me your name."
"Minndt, Minndt Sen. Please…"
"It's a very original name, your parents have a sense of humour."
"Necklace!"
"Shh, stop yelling they'll hear you eventually even though it's soundproof."
"Soundproof?"
"No one can hear us it's quite convenient, don't you think? We'll be fine for a while."
"Where are we going?"
"In a place where we will be quiet."
"Why me?"
"I told you, I find you fascinating."
"Only that?"
"We need you to get people to understand our message. You will get it right into their little skull box."
Minndt couldn't hide his fear any longer, much to Orthon's delight who stepped between his legs before placing his hands on either side of his head. He smiled fiercely at his prey, which froze when she saw the perfectly sharp canines and red eyes glow with a deadly glow. Minndt could only look at him and beg inwardly for something to happen. A wheel that bursts, a sharp turn, a police check; anything to get Orthon's attention and give him a chance to break free.
"You smell so good." The latter complimented him by leaning close to his ear, blowing lightly on it to get a chill from his prey.
"Take it off. Take the collar off for me, please," begged Minndtbefore another blast from that power blocker made him arch his back.
Despite himself, his body moved closer to that of his attacker who ran a hand on the back of his neck before pulling it up through his hair. The grip tightened as he tried to turn his head and cold lips brushed the pinna of his ear. His eyes widened as he heard the buckle of that humiliating necklace come undone and see it being thrown right next to him. The joy he felt was only fleeting as cold lips moved down to his neck and a playful tongue pressed against his skin. His agitated thoughts abruptly stopped as fangs pierced his flesh and a hot liquid ran down his neck. A plaintive moan escaped him and drunkenness flooded his mind, corrupting his fleeting thoughts.
"You are delicious," Orthon susurrated sensually as he lapped up the blood that flowed from the bite.
Minndt didn't answer and looked away, staring at the half-open little metal crate. The ropes coiled inside would be of no use to him and there was nothing within his reach that could help him; he was trapped. Without him even realizing it, a cold hand grabbed his jaw and tilted his head slightly back.
"Minndt…" Orthon sighed, rubbing his thumb against his cheek.
"What?"
"Look at me."
"No."
"Look at me now or I'll put it back on."
The god of spirit and feelings looked at him immediately and they all stared at each other for a moment.
"Your eyes are so deep and clear blue..."
"What exactly are you trying to do, seduce me?"
"Perhaps."
"First set me free then if you want an ounce of success."
"We need you, this little Day offspring doesn't want you and if I set you free you'll be gone."
"He's right to refuse! What you're doing is stupid, trying to subjugate humans out of the shadows is not a good way. When are you going to launch your first attack on a group? humans? Let me laugh for five minutes at your pathetic failure."
The blow went off without warning, Orthon's fist forcefully meeting Minndt's face who fell to the side with the force of the impact but said nothing. He did not try to struggle when he was straightened to better return to the ground after another blow. Blood escaped his mouth but he said nothing, staring fearfully at the necklace inches from his face.
"I thought we could be on the same length, you're known to be someone good at making the right choices. You're like your other friends, asshole!" shouted the assailant, grabbing him and straightening him up again.
Minndt waited for the blow but it didn't come, much to his surprise and fear. He dared to lay his eyes on Orthon who was staring intently at him, his hands suddenly dropping his clothes to rest on his cheeks. Her stomach tightened as the gaze grew more manic and a creepy smile stretched her lips. Minndt tried to back away without realizing it but couldn't escape the lips that pressed suddenly against his.
"Stop running away, I'll be nice to you." the kidnapper almost crooned before starting over.
The god taken aback and paralyzed could not express the slightest word and allowed himself to be done out of spite, not knowing how to act otherwise. There was something strange about the kiss they shared, something tender that contrasted with the anger exuding from Orthon. Her lips were surprisingly soft and when the kiss deepened, Minndt couldn't help but put his tongue under his canines. The danger was there, he could pierce his tongue with a single squeeze but instead, the vampire moved closer to him and undid his hands before placing them on his waist. The message was there, transmitted but the god refused to answer it and did not move his hands an inch.
"Do it," Orthon ordered sternly, tightening his grip on his wrists.
"No."
"You want me to put the necklace back on then."
"I want you to leave me alone, I'm not a toy."
"I know that toys don't talk. They just do it."
"You didn't just kidnap me because you need help and find me fascinating. Your thoughts are…"
"Get out of my head immediately!"
"Could it be..."
"You will have wanted it, bastard of god!"
"What? No, not the necklace!"
"You wanted it!"
"Please no, I'll do it!"
"Too late, you just had to make up your mind beforehand and not ruin the atmosphere!"
Minndt didn't have time to protest again as the necklace got tied around his neck and blocked his powers. The hellish pain circulated through his veins again and this whole body became just a sore, spasmodic heap of flesh. His heartbeat wildly against his rib cage, which seemed to be made of lead how it was so difficult to breathe. Curled up on the floor, he glanced at Orthon sited on a large metal crate and opened the small tinted window.
"We're going at the home." he indicated before closing it, turning to Minndt. "I hope you aren't picky eaters because you are going to be badly otherwise."
The god frantically nodded and felt the ground around him for a grip but his fingers found themselves crushed on the ground. He tapped the ankle in front of him and tried to push back the foot that was crushing his hand, to no avail.
"You're not going anywhere, just stay in bed for your own sake you piss me off." growled his assailant, pressing a little harder.
"Let me go!"
"Do you think I'm going to let you go? You're more of a fool than you might think."
"Take it off, I get it!"
"I understood that you don't want to. What's the problem, aren't you on this side?"
"You kidnapped and hit me!"
"So you're on this side ..."
"Get your hand off my hip, don't touch me!"
"We can find common ground."
"Stop touching me!"
"Aren't you sensitive to sweetness?"
"Not when it comes from my kidnapper!"
"So I have to become something else for you to enjoy my kindness. I can be your friend if you want or even your mate..."
"I'm a beta!"
"Not in that sense. I can be your partner."
"An alpha for a partner? I don't want to end up in a wheelchair when you get your heat."
"You are not kind with your future mate."
"Leave me I don't want to, get your dirty hands off me!"
Orthon ignored his pleas and continued to run his hand over his trembling and spasmodic body, moving up to his cheek before leaning towards his ear and resting his lips there.
"Let's be nice to each other and everything will be fine," he told him in a murmur.
