Time passed quickly as Rosalie and Christophe chatted about random subjects. Christophe did most of the lifting, but it was fun, nonetheless.
Christophe was mostly joking around while Rosalie would occasionally crack a smile.
"Haha, you wouldn't believe how hard I smacked James when I got back to my room today. That little twerp told me he was 100% sure that no one was using your room."
James Genin was Christophe's childhood friend and roommate. Rosalie recalled that he was the scion of Genin Cosmetics, a company that produced high-end beauty products. Their ads were everywhere, it would be impossible to not know their name.
He was probably at the entrance ceremony, but Rosalie didn't notice him, she was caught up trying to escape the sea of people.
In "The Lonely World", James was also a top-ranking player. His nickname was Genie and he played as a magician that would often partner up with Christophe.
Sylvie came out with their steaming plates of food and placed the appropriate dish in front of each of them. The fragrant scent drifting from the sandwiches seemed to turn on the waterworks of their saliva glands.
"Dig in!" Sylvie heartily beamed.
The bread was toasted just right with a crunchy exterior layer and soft insides. The flavours blended in harmony within Rosalie's mouth, hints of mayonnaise, juicy steak, slight bitterness from the leafy greens with melted cheese. This had to be one of the tastiest things she'd eaten in her life. Glancing up, she noticed Christophe staring at her with an expectant look on his face, eagerly waiting for her reaction like a child.
"How is it? Isn't it really good??"
Rosalie nodded her head in agreement, her mouth was too full of sandwich to say anything.
Christophe's eyes lit up and he started to dig in as well. He's always loved his aunt's cooking ever since he was a child and it made him happy to share it with someone else.
They each devoured their respective dishes enthusiastically finishing their last bite at the exact same time.
Rosalie took a sip from her cup of water to cleanse her palette. Satisfied, she leaned back and patted her stomach.
Christoph just stared at her, amused by her behaviour.
"Now was that not the best sandwich you've ever had or what?"
"I have to admit, your taste in sandwiches is nothing to scoff at."
Sylvie came over to see how they were doing and looked delighted that they both cleaned their plates off.
Christophe asked for the bill and Sylvie came over to take their payment.
"Will that be separate bills?"
"Nope, I'm covering everything today."
"Oh ho ho, treating your lady friend I see."
Sylvie laughed mischievously and nudged him a few times.
"Ugh… Just take my money."
At the storefront, Rosalie and Christophe were getting ready to leave.
"Bye Aunt Sylvie!"
Christophe shouted back as the door shouted.
"So… you got any plans for the rest of the day? I'm probably gonna head to the mall and get a few things."
Oh yeah, Rosalie was also planning to go to the mall soon to grab new parts for her laptop and keyboard.
"Do you mind if I tag along? I'm planning to get a few things as well. Do you happen to know any good tech stores?"
"Sure! I could give you a tour of all the stores if you'd like. I'm pretty much familiar with everything on campus. Also, no one will bother us if I go like this!"
He pulled his hood up and took a black face mask from his pocket and slipped it onto his face with a pair of sunglasses.
"See? I'm totally unrecognizable."
"Haha, yea…"
Rosalie thought he looked even more suspicious now.
