"You battle through the balancing act of having to shoulder the weight of your own fears, while trying to reassure others that it's okay to go on living. You wrestle through the pain, even when you're too tired to keep your head above the water that keeps flooding through the sinking ship you call your body. I know what are you feeling, and that is a good sign, feeling means that you are human, feeling means that you are alive. What you truly should fear, is when you feel nothing..."~Alt Jin~

Alik'r Desert, one of the most dangerous places in the world. Not only you have an enormous disadvantage of being in the dry desert under the scorching sun, the desert is also filled with multiple different dangers. Purple worms, cultists, sphinx, bandits, slavers, venomous- you get the spirit. Few places truly compare with the death ratio for this place, maybe the Black Marshes of the Argonians, the Frozen Tundra of the Nords, or the Red Mountain of the Dunmers.

In the middle of this vast desert you can find a place, this place was made to be the most inconspicuous as possible, a good method to hide the nefarious activities committed by the inhabitants of this place. Necromancers. The worst kind of necromancers.

I am a person that I wouldn't care if you use a bandit or some scum of the earth to conduct your experiments. Heck, depending on your code of conduct I may even help you, ever since I steeled my resolve I was aware that I am not a good person by any means, I left that to the shining heroes. Yeah, I may shine, but I shine in the cursed purple flames of hatred. It is edgy as fuck, I know.

My problem with these necromancers is that they use innocents, civilians who just want to live their lives in peace, and that is crossing the line for me. As I said I am not a good person, neither I am above using scum, but I always try to avoid involving civilians when it is not necessary. Why my answer is so ambiguous? Simply by the fact that life is too unexpected, and I don't like making promises I can't keep.

Going back to the necromancers, I inadvertently found their base, and like any curious self-respecting adventurer I went to explore; acquired a new drip, some weapons, and potions. And proceed to dungeon dive. Fought some enemies here and there, had to use my [Mangekyo Sharingan] again, worsening my sight situation even more.

That battle showed me that I couldn't finish this place alone, it showed me that while I was a one-man army I was no Uchiha Madara, yet. Thankful fate seems to smile kindly to me as I discovered four teammates with a good talent for [Ripple]. I gave the fas crash course on the art while we defeated and destroyed some waves of undead. Everything was fine until we reached the end of the dungeon.

A place straight out of the nightmarish panels drawn Kentaro Miura(Berserk Author). A place that could easily be mistaken by the sacrifice ceremony we see in Berserk.

Bodies, bodies everywhere, from Argonians and Khajiit to Altmer and Dunmers, there was almost an integrant of every race here, filling and covering the room with their bodies, their body parts, their guts, their entrails, their blood, their brain matter. It was a true hellscape, the words "A Place Molag Bal would feel at home" is indeed a very apt description.

To add even more to this hellish visage there was a magic circle, or more accurately said, a ritual circle. An octagram of 12 tips, fan alien concept filled with alien symbols, demonic doesn't even begin to describe it, that would be me being way too generous in this situation.

And in the middle of this room, in the middle of this hellish place, in the middle of this hellish ritual, there were 7 liches. One of the highest levels of undeads you can find, there are indeed stronger ones, but this is not the problem right now. None of us can conceivably fight against something like a lich, not even on our best days, much less on our worst like right now. Maybe I could? If I can use my [Susanoo], [Shift], and [King Crimson] indiscriminately I could probably make those liches my little bitches.

Yeah, the rhyme was kind of unintentional, but it fits the situation so I will allow it. You may laugh. You didn't? Understandable, let me continue with the important stuff. But in my defense, it is not you who is going to fight against 7 liches in some moments.

Each of these liches looked like high-level mages they should be. But the one in the middle looked even more of a bastard, meaning he looked fancier and more powerful than the others. His numerous amulets and rings shining and shimmering with magic, his crow jagged and decorated fancier than his companions, his bones more lustrous and alive than the others as if they hold more power than his mates. His empty eye sockets looking intently to whatever ritual they are doing, his concentration unwavering. Inside of his eyes sockets a pale blue flame that shines with undeath, showing a clever mind and intelligence beyond his peers. His robes weaved with magic and high-level enchantments that would make any mage salivate in greed. his posture, one of authority. His staff a prime weapon to any caster, something of enough value to buy yourself a huge manor and live comfortably the rest of your life.

The other liches looked like inferior copies of him, like they tried and failed to follow in their leader's footsteps. This does not make them less dangerous whatsoever, Mannimarco wasn't the first Lich, but he was powerful nonetheless, first doesn't not equal to most powerful. But on this occasion it does.

Then came the ritual itself, the ultimate objective of these liches. Sadly I do not have any clue to what the fuck they want to do as the language they are using is completely unknown to me, and this is coming from the man that engraved every dictionary available on the internet on his mind. Meaning, while I may not speak or read a language fluently, I can understand them giving me enough time, sadly with all this time I was here I wasn't able to understand nor discover what language they are using for the ritual. I presume it must be one of the many mystical languages of this world, that I have no doubt.

What they are doing with the ritual... I don't know, but it looks like a portal? Yeah, a distorted and very creepy portal, something worth of Lovecraftian origin. Meaning whatever it is will be extremely deadly and dangerous, no matter how I look at it.

The portal has a lot of energy, enough to look like a blinding sun of pure magical energy, heck even with my sight problem I can see the amount of energy in it and it is definitely no joke. But seeing the number of people they sacrificed, the number of followers, and fellow necromancers they sacrificed, I am not surprised. With a sacrifice of this size, they could basically summon a god. Okay, that is a slight exaggeration, but you got the picture here.

The good thing is that whatever ritual they are performing requires their undivided attention, meaning that even if they are powerful liches they can't exactly throw spells around at us right now. Heck, I am quite sure we've long since been detected by them, we basically destroyed all their undeads and killed the three necromancers back there that were responsible for the security.

*Rattle*

*Guish*

*Squish*

*Arwwrrmm*

Well, it appears that even though the necromancers have to concentrate on the ritual, they can still use undead to antagonize us. That must be due to their high-level mastery of the necromantic arts, they didn't even need to move to raise some undead. Of course, due to their situation, the best they could raise is some zombies and skeletons.

Everyone seems to be equal parts disgusted and horrified seeing this macabre situation, I am honestly surprised they have stomach enough to not vomit instantly. But I guess their circumstances and this world is way different than good old earth.

"Thanks for the description Turalion. It really helped."(Jin).

"No problem, I am happy to help... Do you have any idea for this situation?"(Turalion).

"As I've already said. I need to get close to see them, and maybe I can even find their [Phylactery]."(Jin).

"Didn't you say that the ritual magic is something very delicate? Couldn't you do something to disrupt the ritual?"(Altair).

"A good idea Altair. Disrupting this ritual is bound to cause a huge backlash towards the casters, but how could we do it?"(Jin).

"Maybe throw something at it? I don't know much about this magic stuff but I know every time I cook something if I put too much spice or the wrong thing it always tastes awful."(Altair).

"But what we should thor there? We don't exactly have that many magical things with us..."(Turalion).

"Well, I may have something... It's just..."(Jin).

"What's the problem?"(Elii).

"Well, the thing I can throw there may escalate things even further... but I guess we don't have many options."(Jin).

"Indeed. If this horrendous room is any indication, our fates are pretty bleak if they succeed whatever they want to do."(Turalion).

"Good. So we need to make a way through this newly risen undead, are you all prepared for a very messy and disgusting battle?"(Jin).

"Shouldn't you make a more detailed plan?"(Elii).

"Elii, no plan survives first contact. So we need to make sure the plan is simple yet flexible. Ready?"(Jin).

"Ready!!!"(Elii/Ahiin/Turalion/Altair).

"Good. I will go first and open the way, be sure to cover me."(Jin).

I started breathing deeply, the putrid and horrendous air of the place invading my lungs but being immediately purified by my [Wave]. I reached deep upon my conscious, upon my distorted mind, searching for the painful memories.

Ever since some time ago my emotions have been dull, muted, strange, I wasn't able to feel them, or they were somehow away from me. I first thought it was another side effect of [Fury], but I am not so certain... It doesn't matter right now, the moment I reached those painful memories I was able to feel again, the alien and the otherworldly way I reacted to the room a distant memory.

*Fury*

*Rage*

*Hatred*

*Angry*

All those negative emotions came back to me in this instant, flooding my mind and boosting my [Fury]. I do not know why in those moments I was unfeeling, I was so alien, but that isn't important right now. right now I have some ritual to fuck up.

The purple aura around me grew bigger and brighter, but this isn't even close to the only thing I am planning on doing. The burst of power almost scared my allies but they managed to hold strong. With supernatural agility I opened my backpack and picked up a certain scroll, the key to disrupt this ritual completely.

Another deep breath, but this time I used a skill that I always wanted to.

"[SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE]"

Under the cursed purple aura around me, a sun-colored yellow brilliance started growing, it shone brightly like the morning sun almost mocking all the rotten undead around me. The yellow sunny aura started to grow and expand under the purple one, until I started to look like the sun itself, albeit with some purple flames.

I started dashing forward, a scroll under my left arm. and my right arm shining brightly with all the [Wave] I was channeling at this moment, yes, I didn't use [Ripple] on that technique, but [Wave]. I dashed with all my speed my right arm using the [Thunder Fist Style] to swat and kill all undead in my way, leaving a trail of ashes in my wake.

I didn't stop, and neither did my teammates following me behind using their [Ripple] to the best of their abilities. I started to draw closer and closer, the liches finally started to become concerned with my presence, so they sang faster and louder, trying to accelerate their ritual. It was all of no use.

My relentless advance soon reached its objective, the weird portal thing they were doing. And without beating an eye I filled the [Elder Scroll] with everything I have and was currently wielding and tossed it towards the portal.

The reaction was instant, from here I could see the liches opening their eyes wide in fear of me and the object I'd throw in their ritual, I swear I also saw some of them sweating bullets. The shining scroll traveled through the air until it hit the portal, and them...

*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*

A colossal explosion of pure positive solar energy engulfed the whole, every undead in the immediate radius was instantly evaporated, the explosion radius quickly expanded and engulfed our group showering us with the purest sunlight energy I had ever felt. Only to disapear.
