"... Some necromancers when they reach a high enough level they undergo a ritual to cast away their mortal shell and become undead. The ritual is something extremely complex that needs a pretty high-level knowledge of magic and how it works, you will also need some specific and well-prepared potions. Then the necromancer would drink the potions and do the ritual, choosing a 'soul jar' or more known as a phylactery, they would become an immortal lich that is undoubtedly immortal no matter how many times you kill them, the only way to truly kill a lich is if you destroy their phylactery." ~Alt Jin book: Lichdoom is for retards~
"Some people say that Mannimarco was the only true lich to have ever existed, normally the ritual someone undergoes to become a lich makes then a severely deformed undead abomination, but Mannimarco was able to become a lich and maintain his normal appearance. It's said that Mannimarco developed a special and higher quality ritual for becoming a lich. A good part of his cult and followers follow for the minimal chance of getting their hands on such a ritual, a complete foolish endeavor, Mannimarco values his secrets more than his undead life." ~Alt Jin book: Lichdoom is for retards~
"And before you get any ideas becoming a lich won't work. First and foremost you do not have any magic to even try to do it. Second, usually, the stretch of a lich is what he had achieved in life, so you won't exactly get stronger, you will just become an undead version of yourself. Third, becoming a lich is a fairly bad deal, besides the obvious weakness of a phylactery you will probably lose the ability to use [Ripple] and whatever name you came up with for the mix of [Ripple] and [Ki]. You also lose a lot of other things that make you alive, as surprising as it sounds most liches fell from grace because they literally went mad with boredom and are tired of living." ~Alt Jin book: Lichdoom is for retards~

I looked at the storage, and it was actually filled to the brim, I was quite surprised, to be honest here. There were multiple shelves with different contents on them, ranging from food like cheese, jerky, and wine, to things a little more magical like potion ingredients and the potions themselves.
I continued exploring the storage until I started to see some different things like clothes, tools, and even some armors sets, I was ready to pick up some clothes but decided to at least investigate the whole storage first before.
After that, I saw books, vast collections of books. There were at least three shelves full of books here, and looking more closely most of these books are novels for entertainment, few rarely in between were books about knowledge or magic.
Then came a small metallic shelf, this shelf was way smaller than the other ones but the books on it seem way more precious than the rest, these books are books about magic, spells, tomes, and there even some ancient scrolls here. But thanks to my [Sharingan] I could clearly see that these scrolls aren't spell scrolls, just normal run-of-the-mill scrolls filled with some knowledge.
I almost had the impulse of picking up these books and started reading them here right now. But I contained myself, I can't use magic yet, so these books are nigh useless right now. And seeing as I don't have any means to carry them with me might as well think about them at a later date.
After the magic shelf, the next shelves were filled with travel gear like backpacks, cloaks, robes, ropes, lanterns, turbans, and things you will probably need to travel through the desert for a long time. I don't know you but I am fairly sure I hit the jackpot here.
Next part where a slew of chests of varied shapes and sizes, looking inside of them I saw they were probably personal belongings to some of the necromancers here. And seeing that each chest has a number it is probably divided that way.
After the chests, I reached the end of the storage where another double door is, seeing as I finally go to the end of the storage room I decided its finally time to start looting. I know I am literally in the middle of enemy territory and I shouldn't stop like that but I literally took my sweet time analyzing the storage and no one came to confront me, so of course I drew some conclusions.
Well, the necromancer could be dead, sleeping, or maybe doing something so important that they could be bothered to check the little alarms they put into place at their backdoor. My guess is definitely the last reason, they are probably doing the monthly ritual to Mannimarco or something, I just hope I have enough time to loot things here.
First and foremost are clothes, being cooked alive by the scorching sun of the desert wasn't a good experience by any means, and having some clothes to fend off the sound would be greatly appreciated, thankful the storage room has a lot of clothes.
Normally finding clothes for my size would be something extremely difficult, but this world has both Altmer and Nords which are pretty tall races, so while on earth finding clothes for someone as tall and muscled as I would be a huge headache, here in a simply necromancer storage room I could easily find them. Yeah, there isn't an abundance of clothes to chose from, but I am already grateful I don't have to use something extremely tight that will limit my movements.
And yes they have underwear here. First, I didn't even want to touch something as gross as underwear in a necromancer storage room. But thankfully my [Sharingan] wasn't able to detect any sign of use, which must mean that the underwear was brand new. Yeah, calling it underpants would be an insult to all underpants out there, this is literally some miss matching brown-colored cloth made to be used under your pants. Fuck, I forgot this world is technically in the middle ages, so I probably won't find any decent underwear unless I spent a lot of money.
But right now anything is better than the rags I am wearing. After putting on my underpants I went to search for a pair of pants. The pants were dark brown and pretty large, even for me, the other thing of note is how rough and thick the material the pants are made is. I bet it can easily endure the weather and maybe even some glancing or weak blows.
After that I went to put on some boots, sadly my feet were quite big so there was only one leather boot that fits. Well, technically these boots are closer to greaves than boots. Yeah, they were armored boots, quite heavy to be honest. Thankful it isn't a full plate, it is a half plate at best. Picking some knee armor and leather strips, I started to tie and bind everything the best I can. Thankfully, I watched some videos about armor with my [Sharingan], so while I am not a specialist, seeing as I haven't done it before, I can still somehow do it.
After that, I pick five belts, each of these belts has multiple small pouches on them. Putting the belts to the side for a bit I decided to pick up a long-sleeved t-shirt. Thankful shirts are the easiest ones to find amongst everything, I found a shirt light brown in color, its materials are pretty close to that of my pants, but they are less rough and thick giving the shirt a more smooth and comfortable feeling.
But before I went searching for more I found something pretty interesting, a very large undershirt, the collar is especially big to provide some sort of makeshift mask. The undershirt is pale yellow colored, and I immediately put it under my shirt.
After choosing a shirt and an undershirt I went searching for some armor, sadly most of the armor doesn't fit with my physique. Thankfully I found one half-plate armor made of leather and metal that fitted quite well as a chest place, putting on the armor went rather well, it fitted me like a glove which is quite impressive, to be honest.
After that, I went searching for a gauntlet and a vambrace, protecting my hands is pretty important, so I wanted to at least find a full plate vambrace. Thankful I was able to find a proper vambrace, the vambrace is made of some kind of opaque colored steel, but seeing how thick and durable they are I was rather pleased with my find.
Finding a full plate gauntlet was unfortunately a complete failure, my hands seem to be simply too big for any of the gauntlets here. So I settled on a half plate gauntlet, made of metal and thick leather, at least this way I will have a little better maneuverability with my hands.
After that, I put on my five belts. The biggest one I put it on my shoulder diagonally on my torso, thankfully it came with enough straps for me to firmly bind it into place. With the other two belts, I put them in an X formation on my hips. The other two belts I put then in my thighs, each of them went around twice on my thighs so it was like I had four bets on my thighs. Quite the strange image.
After that, I searched for a bit and found a leg cloak. A leg cloak is a smaller cloak focused only on covering my legs, It pretty ideal for my situation right now seeing as I can hide my belts under it. the cloak is also pale yellow like my undershirt.
After that I picked up a normal cloak that covered almost all of my body, this cloak is made of pretty thick material and it will help protect me from the harsh desert weather. The cloak is dark brown colored and it gives me an assassin's creed vibe.
After the cloak came the turban, of course, can't have a desert adventure without one of those. I easily found a big turban made of white-colored silk-like material. this Turban looks pretty expensive, but I didn't care and simply put it on.
My final image fits perfectly the desert rider persona right now.
After that, I decided to fill my pouches with different kinds of potions. Well, that has a huge stock of potions on this storage it would be a crime if I didn't pick some.
I approached the potions section of the storage and started seeing what kind of potions are there. Thankful the Necromancers had the decency of putting a label on everything so I had a pretty easy time figuring out the how and the whys. Sadly there were only the simplest of options here, like [Fatigue Potions] that work like some kind of hyper-concentrated energetic, then there were also [Stamina Potions] which help your recover a bit of your stamina, sadly they can't substitute the lack fo sleep but they can extend the time you can maintain yourself awake without risks.
There is also of course the [Healing Potions] they heal you, but depending on the wound or the potion it can take longer. The final ones are [Magika Potions] which should help someone replenish their spent mana, sadly these potions are of no use to me. And yes, I did indeed drink some of those to test if they can give me some mana. They don't
And how do I know all of that? some necromancer named Errik had the decency of writing a booklet with the approximated effects of every potion. Thank you Errik. I also Drank potions until I felt like I was 100% again, I am just sad that there aren't any buff potions here just the basic healing ones. It is almost like this is the tutorial area.
Well, I didn't even flinch when I stuffed my belt pouches with potions and more potions. Yes, I do have [Wave] and [Ripple] to heal me, but if I add a [Healing Potion] on top I can heal much faster and much more efficiently. And I am sure as hell won't be passing the advantage of [Stamina and Fatigue Potions], those are simply too useful. I just have to remember to not abuse potions too much, every potion probably has some toxicity level and like any kind of medicine if it's used in excess it might become poison.
Seeing as I am all suited up and basically ready I finally decided to find a weapon for myself. Yes, you can easily consider my body a lethal weapon thanks to martial arts, but my squish flesh still loses to a steel sword, for now. So until I can master the [Iron Body] and [Iron Hand] technique I will probably need to use some armor and weapons. Heck, I think even with those techniques I might still need to use them.
Going closer to the weapon shelf I tried to get used to being in so many layers of clothes at the same time. I know people who live in deserts of snow or sand are costumed to using so many layers of clothes, but back in Korea and in my past life I rarely even needed to use a jacket. Heck, I've never seen snow personally, only in movies or videogames, but never personally. Thankful cycling [Wave] on my body with the help of my cultivation technique helps maintain a rather refreshed feeling even under so many clothes. I bet if I walk in the desert right now I will feel less like the sun is toasting me alive.
I finally reached the weapons shelf. Sadly there weren't any polearm-type weapons, the majority of weapons here are swords and knives, there are of course maces, axes both one-handed and two-handed. Analyzing the weapons I reached the conclusion that they are made of either steel or iron, sadly there isn't any Ebony or glass here but the good old steel is more than enough right now.
I ended up choosing a small two-handed steel saber. Thanks to my big and muscled physique I can easily use the small two-handed weapons with just one hand and they fit rather well with my size. The Saber is pretty simple, a brown-colored grip made of both wood and leather, a guard of steel made simply and minimalistic, a long, thick, and sharp blade that can easily cleave a man in two. The blade is slightly curved giving it a distinctive Saber image.
Putting the blade on my back, I search for at least a second option. I know how easily a blade dulls and loses its edge when you are on a killing spree, blood, and fat drench the blade causing it to dull its edge so I need at least a secondary sword if things get ugly. I found a good small two-handed steel sword that fits the criteria admirably. The sword is a little smaller than my saber, and it's made mostly one the same way the Saber did minimalistic and to the point.
With the two swords on my back and my mostly half-plate armor, I could easily pass the image of a desert Witcher. Geralt would be proud. The last thing I did on the weapons shelf was to fill all the remaining spaces in my person with the biggest amount of steel daggers I reasonably could, in my boots, in leather straps, on my belts, whatever there was a space that could reasonably fit a dagger without bothering me I put one there.
Sadly the only weapon I truly practice in my life were knives. I didn't have much time to practice with swords and spears, but I watched all kinds of videos and copied all kinds of weapons master I could find on the web with my [Sharingan]. I probably know enough to get by, but I will need some real practice to get good, this is the same problem I had with martial arts at the beginning, I can easily copy them with my eyes and probably replicate the same exact movements, but I body need to learn how to use these weapons, meaning I need to create muscle memory for them. But I am indeed way faster to get used to it than a normal person, as I literally have all the techniques copied engraved in my mind, I literally only need to get used to them.
Thankfully when I was training [Ripple] in the past I also trained to throw things a lot, so my aim at throwing the most unexpected of things is pretty good. The [Sharingan] si also a real cheat when it comes to throwing things, I can definitely understand how the [Shurikenjutsu] of the Uchiha was so renowned.
I of course searched around for enchanted items or things of the sots, but sadly it appears that there was none. This means that they either don't have the capacity and resources for making one, or they have a higher level storage room where they put the more valuable things. And seeing as I literally didn't see any staff or magical robes I am pretty sure that is true.
After that, I went to the magical shelf where the spell books and some more magical knowledge are. I picked the first three books and started leafing through the pages of the first at incredible high speeds, I am not reading this book I am using my [Sharingan] to engrave it in my memory for me to read it afterward when I am not in the middle of the enemy base.
While leafing through the spellbook of the spell [Flames] one of the easiest spells of the [Destruction] school, while leafing through the book I went to the food part of the storage room and started eating without holding back,itI has been days since I ate something and I am quite hungry. I ate bread, cheese, jerky, and drank some water that I found. I thought about drinking wine or something, but I don't think getting even slightly drunk is a good move right now.
After I ate to my absolute fill, I went back close to the magic shelf and started leafing through the books at the best of my speed. It took me quite a bit of time to do it, but I was eventually able to leaf through every book and scroll on the magical shelf. Sadly most of the spells here are for novices so I didn't get any groundbreaking spell-like [Firestorm] or something.
I didn't waste any time and continued to the normal books' shelf. Normally it would take me days for me to go through the normal books collection, but thankfully most of them are just for entertainment so I was able to skip a great part of the books here and focus on the ones that contained important information.
After finishing with engraving all those books on my mind I went to my final preparation, a traveling backpack. Picking a fairly big leather backpack, I started filling it with supplies, like a Leather water pouch filled with water, a lot of cheese and jerky, a bedroom, flint and steel, rope, and a bunch of other useful things for my survival out of here.
Now I am fully and wholly prepared to the best of my abilities. Now I should decide if I go deeper in this necromancer dungeon, or I simply turn back and try my luck in the desert again. I sincerely wanted to explore the dungeon, principally seeing as I have the proper gear now, heck I even safely put my elder scroll inside of my backpack.
So it's decided, I will go deeper and see what the heck these necromancers were doing that they didn't even bother sending someone to check on the invader.
