Chapter 9 - SMO Chapter 3.3 : Hostile

Opening his eyes, Suuco gets up and puts the Headset away.

Going downstairs, he looks at the time on his phone.

[6:27 AM]

Almost forgetting Mina, he walks into the living room to see if she was okay. She was still sleeping, but seemed to be having a hard time.

'A Nightmare?' Walking up to Mina, Suuco kneels down and checks her forehead to see if she was sick.

When he placed his hand on her forehead, she seemed to slightly calm down. After noticing, Suuco starts to slowly comfort Mina in her sleep.

After a few seconds, she has calmed down. Suuco stayed there until he was sure she was okay.

After a few minutes, Mina starts to slowly wake up.

"Good Morning. Breakfast will be made soon. Anything in particular that you want?" Suuco greets her for the morning.

Realizing that Suuco was still rubbing her head, Mina gets up swiftly with a slightly red face.

"... bacon..." Mina gives the food she wants, despite being embarrassed.

"Okay. You can go take a quick bath or shower as I make Breakfast. The Bathroom is right over there." Suuco points towards the direction of the door.

Mina looks in that direction, then back at Suuco.

"Don't worry. I won't peek. I still need to make Breakfast. Along with the Bacon." Suuco promises Mina that he won't go within 10ft of the door.

After that, Mina takes a Shower and Suuco prepares breakfast.

. . .

Mina finally comes back from the shower, seeing the table filled with some foods.

"I'm almost done. I just gotta finish this and pack some Lunchboxes." Mina sits down and refrains herself from eating, but doesn't refrain from drooling slightly.

Finally finishing with the food, Suuco sits down and they eat.

After he finishes his fill, he goes to take a shower while Mina continues to eat the remaining foods.

'Where does all of that food go?'

. . .

Finishing his shower, he checks his phone.

[7:13 AM]

'We have about an hour left. School starts at 8:45 AM.'

Walking back to an empty table, he sees Mina washing the dishes. Saying his thanks, he sits on the couch amd starts doing some research on his phone

'I wonder if there's a database of sorts for SMO...'

After around 5 minutes, Mina sits next to Suuco, looking at what he was doing in his phone, snuggling extremely close to him.

Ignoring how close she was, Suuco continues his research.

. . . it was around [7:43 AM], and they start getting ready to go to school. Suuco packs 3 Lunchboxes.

One for him, another for his sister, who he meets before school, and finally the last, and largest one was for Mina. It was almost 4 Times larger than his.

Walking out the door, he coincidently meets Suzu and her friend just outside of their house, walking towards school.

"Brother! What a coincidence! You remember Saya, right?" Suuco looks towards her friend, Saya, and greets her.

"Oh? And who's this?" Suzu looks at Mina with curious eyes.

"This is Mina. She stayed over due to some... circumstances." Mina slightly hid behind Suuco, since she didn't know the other two.

"Mina, it's okay. This is my Sister that I told you was staying over at her friends house, Suzu. And that over there is the friend she stayed with, Saya." Suuco introduces the two, trying to comfort Mina from her worries.

Mina slowly stands straight, and greets the two with a slight wave.

"Hello! Nice to meet you!" Suzu waves back, along with Saya.

"I-it's nice to see you again, Suuco." Saya greets Suuco.

"Nice to see you too. How are you? Has Suzu been annoying you? Answer honestly and I'll let you have some of her lunch."

"What!? That's Mean! I did nothing Wrong! Right Saya?!" Due to Suzu's yelling, Saya can only giggle.

"Hahaha, sorry. It's a joke. I know you didn't do anything wrong" Suuco pats the pouting Suzu.

"She didn't do anything, right?" Suuco whispered to Saya.

"No. She was quite docile. She did almost break a plate. She was about to slip, but I caught her. So no problems." Saya whispered back.

"Hey! What are you secretly chatting about over there?! We're gonna be late to school!" Suzu was already starting to walk towards school.

"We continue the later." Suuco, Saya and Mina all walk towards their schools.

Splitting off at their school, Suzu and Saya head to their class.

Walking to their own school, Suuco and Mina walk in silence. Not much to talk about anyways.

Before they could enter school, Suuco stop Mina.

"Wait, Taki and his gang are right over there. And so are the other girls who seem to bully you." As Suuco says this, Mina grips onto his sleeve.

"... scared..." Mina shows a face filled with worry and fear.

Suuco notices the fear, and decides to guide Mina.

"Come with me. I know a safe route. Safer than usual, and we can get in unnoticed by those groups. Just stick close, and leave it to me." Suuco takes Mina's hand and begins to guide her.

Almost reluctant, she goes along with Suuco's plan.

They were only a few minutes away from the School Bell ringing, so they had to work fast.

Running towards the park near the school, they run to the opposite side, where there is a Wall with a small Hedge covering the lower part of it.

Moving part of the hedge, a hole in the Wall revealed itself, allowing for Suuco and Mina to go through.

Before they continue, Mina noticed that they were in the Backyard of someone else's House.

"Nobody is here at this time. They usually head to work until a few hours after school. Anyways, through here." Suuco reveals another hole in a fence.

Going through, they somehow made it into the Greenhouse.

"How..." Mina starts to wonder how Suuco knew of this route."

"Well, while the Girls are your bullies, the Boys are mine. I sometimes need to tend to them, but due to an accident, I'm kind of in hiding. They chased me a lot, since I kinda angered them... a lot." Suuco explains this, but Mina still couldn't fully comprehend what he said.

"Anyways, we're here, so no problem. We can relax until the bell ri-" The bell begins to ring.

"Well ain't that just great. Well, I gotta get to class and get scolded for ditching yesterday. If you want, you can stay in the Garden until Lunch. Sound good?" Mina doesn't know what to think, but didn't want to attend Class, since she's in the same class as her bullies.

"...okay." Mina nods in agreement, then sits down on the Garden Bench.

"Cool. Here's your Lunch. Don't eat it until I get back. At least not all of it. Anyways, gotta run. See you later." Suuco drops off the Large Lunchbox and heads to class.

"...bye..."

. . .

Stepping into class, he was Immediately told off by the teacher, and was told to stand in the back of the room.

Suuco was told to stand until his next class started, so it was 20 Minutes of Standing, for 20 Minutes of Homeroom.

. . .

Finishing his last class before lunch, the bell rings, and Suuco heads towards his Sanctuary.

Finally making it, he doesn't see Mina.

"Mina? You in the back?" Suuco walks to the back room and sees a sleeping Mina snoozing away.

'Was she tired? Well, I guess she would be. She was really afraid of being seen by those girls.' Suuco sits next to Mina and puts his hand on her head. She seemed to calm down, since she had a slightly disturbed face on her.

Suuco eats his Lunch, and saw that Mina only ate part if her Lunch.

'Maybe she had a Snack before going to take a Nap.'

A few moments later, Mina begins to wake up.

"hmm...Suuco?" Half Asleep, she manages to identify the figure in front of her.

"Good Morning. Or should I say Good Afternoon? It's Lunch time right now."

Getting up, Mina walks over to her Lunchbox and continues to finish what she started.

After a few minutes, she's done, and so was Suuco, who started eating before her.

"That is one amazing appetite." Suuco can only be amazed when he sees how much Mina can eat. Her lunch was merely an appetizer.

After they both water the plants, the bell rings.

"Guess I better go. I'll bring something later, so sit tight.

With that, Suuco heads off to his next class.

However, he bumps into someone who was not happy to see him.

"Why hello there. Did you forget about me?"
