Hades and Thanatos began walking together through the forest. With his elegant looking clothes and Thanatos' armor, if not for the pair of horns on each of their heads, they could've been mistaken for a regular young Master out for a stroll with his personal bodyguard.
Just then, Hades remembered that the system had given him two items called lottery tickets. Mentally he called inside his mind 'Lottery', and a glowing blue wheel appeared in front of him. He could see a few options for the wheel, including skills, items, and equipment. Spinning it, he called inside his mind. 'Activate Lottery.' The wheel immediately began to spin, twirling to a faint music that Hades could just barely make out. Eventually, the pointer landed on a section labeled items. A golden chest appeared in front of him, along with a faintly glowing key.
Thanatos glanced over at the chest curiously, but said nothing as Hades took the key and unlocked the chest. The chest disappeared, along with the key, as it revealed the item inside. Inside the chest was a golden amulet embedded with a pale red stone. As Hades stared at the item, a description appeared.
[Masked Ruby Amulet]
[A mysterious necklace that can allow the wearer to hide his or her true identity. Can be used for up to 8 hours a day. Time available will be reset at sunrise each day.]
"This might be useful once we reach the town." Hades decided to save the other ticket and quickly put on the amulet, causing a new screen to appear. It contained options on what form he wanted to take once he activated the amulet. Quickly, he selected the elf option, which had caught his interest when he was browsing the different races.
"Are you planning to go to town? The nearest town is not far from here." Thanatos pointed towards a direction that was just to the right of their current path. "Although as demons, we probably won't be very welcome."
Hades waved his hand, dismissing the amulet's description. "Don't worry about that." He activated the amulet, transforming into an elven form. His silver horns and tail disappeared, his sclera whitened, and his ears became pointed. He quickly tore off a hidden bit of his shirt to create a string to tie his hair up. With his hair tied up and out of his face, he gave off the air of a noble. "I can be a elven traveler, and you can be a mercenary I hired to protect me."
While researching the game, Hades had found that elves were not uncommon, and were treated the same as humans and dwarves. Theoretically, being an elf would not attract as much attention as being a demon.
Thanatos nodded, agreeing to the plan. "As you wish." Demons often acted as mercenaries because of their imposing appearances and battle prowess, so it would be fine for him to pretend to be a hired sword.
The two continued walking, though Hades had a couple of times where he stumbled, unused to the height of his new elf form. In both reality and as a demon, he was fairly tall, around 180 centimeters (A/N: Almost 6'). As an elf though, he was nearly 200 centimeters (A/N: Almost 6'6"). But even then, Thanatos was a good fifteen centimeters taller than him, and that was without adding the height from his horns.
Along the way to the town, which Thanatos told him was called Etna Village, the duo encountered several low-leveled monsters. Thanks to Thanatos though, Hades didn't have to lift a finger. A couple of slices by the tall demon's sword was enough to destroy most of the monsters immediately. Hades mentally thanked the gods for his luck with his first summon. Because of the contract, Hades also got some of the experience points from each of the monsters Thanatos slayed. He quickly found that each monster granted 100 exp multiplied by their level. For example, a level three monster granted 300 exp. Out of that total, Hades got 10%, so 30 exp.
By the time the village was in sight, Hades had collected 1000 exp. 'Status.'

Looking through the status window, Hades saw that he had enough exp to level up. 'Level up to max.' Once the status window updated, he also saw that he gained points that he could use to level up his stats or skills, but he decided to not use them just yet. He also saw that he had gained some new skills.

Hades dismissed the status window as he and Thanatos approached the town gates. As the two entered quietly, they were mostly ignored by the town inhabitants, though Thanatos drew a couple of odd looks.
Despite trekking through the forest for almost an hour, Hades was barely tired, and his elegant clothes were untouched, since Thanatos had done all the fighting, so many of the people believe him to be the son of some noble family. No one dared to bother him as he wandered around, examining each of the shops in the market area of the town.
Suddenly, a message appeared in front of Hades. Noticing it was a message sent by another player, he decided to rest in the town center, where seats where set up in front of a stage where a couple of people were putting on what looked to be a play.
{Ares}: [Player Ares has sent you a friend request. Do you accept?]
Selecting yes, Hades quickly typed out a message for his friends.
{Hades}: Hello Ares.
{Ares}: reaper! where are you right now? i got a map, so lets meet up
{Hades}: I'm currently at a town called Etna Village. Are you anywhere nearby?
{Ares}: lemme see, yup the village im at is close. ill be there soon, i need to go see if i can borrow a horse or smth
{Hades}: Alright, see you soon then.
{Ares}: u better not do anything fun without me
{Hades}: By fun, do you mean killings things?
{Ares}: u know me so well :)
"Are you alright My Lord? Did something happen?" Thanatos peered down at Hades, who was trying to hold in a laugh. "Don't worry, it's nothing Thanatos. One of my friends is coming to meet up with me soon." "Oh okay." Thanatos nodded, his worries disappating.
