It took an hour for Maya to convince Aunt Rose and Sasha that she is fine. Maya never meant to take all the pills. It was a mistake. A big mistake that she can't afford to make.
Aunt Rose was more of a mother to Maya than her own mother ever was. She was the one person she could always rely on. She is a selfless, kind human being and a mother. Her first instinct was to worry because that's what mothers do.
Maya heard the door open, and she peeked over Sasha's shoulder to see Alex standing in the doorway, his back stiff and his eyes blazing, looking as if he's about to burn the place to the ground. Josh stood right next to him.
"You," He pointed his finger at Maya "What game are you playing now?" His words sharp, like the glitter of a sword or a forked flash of lightning.
Maya struggled to find her voice. "What-what… are… what are you doing here?"
