Mark words rocked and hit Juni's world like a turbulent tornado
"Hey boss, boss, are you still there?" Mark called upon hearing no sound forthcoming anymore from the phone speaker "hey boss, you okay?" he added
"You say? She's getting signed?" Juni croaked out slowly absentmindedly
"Yeah..." Mark dragged out already regretting his words and decision
"Maybe, you shouldn't come in today anymore. I can pack the rest of the documents and bring it over to your place after I close from work, we could talk you know, talk about your goals" the ever loyal secretary tried to make sense of the current situation
"Mark." Juni's voice boomed through the phone's speaker
"Yes boss?" Mark inquired
"I didn't do what accused me of, you know that right?" Juni asked
"Yes Mr. Cartel, I do" mark replied not knowing why his boss would ask him that because if there was something mark knew about his boss, it was that, he would never resort to such methods.
"Then why should I run like a coward? When I didn't do anything wrong?" Juni said finally moving his legs to grab the car keys off the kitchen counter table
Mark sighed at the other end of the phone hoping silently that he wasn't about to make the worst decision ever
"I will be waiting for you, boss"he said with a smile
"Okay" Juni said out loud but his thoughts were yelling "Thank you once again Beyoncé".
Juni thoughts were overcrowded and almost overloading as he drove as fast as he could , avoiding breaking rules just to know why, just why she chose to destroy his life, his thoughts however worked more towards fueling his rage
"she got me fired but still signs with the damn company anyway? Who does she think she is? a god ? a princess? With the will to destroy people lives and trample on it as she saw fit ? No no. that's wrong .she doesn't deserve or have the right to do that and I am going to show her just how wrong she is" He thought as he clenched his teeth , gripped the steering wheel tighter ad pressed down hard on the accelerator.
Meanwhile
The door man smiled flirtingly at her as he offered her his best courtesy low bow and a slow "Welcome "she smiled slightly at the obviously failing attempt and breezed into the reception hall with the aura of a professionalism around her to show that she was here on business without exactly saying it out loud.
"Good morning ma'am, how can we help you?" a receptionist in her mid-twenties inquired as sweet as she could with a lovely smile "wow, they are all smiling idiots huh?" she thought as he offered one of her business cards to the receptionist
"I'm here to see Angela Mandela" she said
"do you have an appointment to see her?" the receptionist asked frowning slightly upon seeing the name written on the card "Carmen Cartel"
"no ,I don't but I'm sure she would be so glad to see me" Carmen said sarcastically smiling sweetly at the receptionist
"ok, give me a minute please" the receptionist stated ,dialing a number on the landline
After a few minutes of replies between her and someone over the line, she put down the receiver and turned to face the standing Carmen Cartel
"she's currently not in right now ,you would have to come back or call her " the receptionist stated
"ohh" Carmen dragged out while the receptionist look at her suspiciously with a forced smile now
"well, I will be taking my leave, tell her Carmen Cartel dropped in"
"yes ma'am, I sure will. have a great day ahead" the receptionist replied
"sure will. you too" Carmen turned and proceeded on her way out of the hotel hall working on a million theories as she smiled back at the doorman and his gestures.
In her car, In the hotel parking lot, Carmen wondered just for a minute how many times her husband had been there, it was just for a minute but the doubt was there.
She sighed deeply, shook her head to get rid of the thoughts, starting the ignition, she drove out of the hotel parking lot ,humming a sad melody .
Juni drove into the company's underground garage and grabbing only his coat jacket, he bounded up the stairs, he was angry for once and he was going to remain so, he was so angry that he ignored the greetings of those who he met on the way.
Juni had never felt so wronged and angry in his entire life , not even when his father in-law insulted him. He let out a grunt upon seeing the elevator in motion when he got to it, he didn't hesitate to bypass it and made for the fire escape stairs though, it was a long way to the seventh floor but he was sure the signing process would still be on after all, it's ceremonial to always use three hours before ending it . Plus it was also a good idea because Juni was not ready for his secretary to see him and try to stop him just yet.
He was breathing heavily when he finally got to the seventh floor door, there was sweat that made his his shirt cling to him tightly but upon opening the door , ready to go burst the ceremony going on in the conference Hall, Juni found his secretary waiting for him leaning on the wall.
"Morning boss,I was waiting for you" Mark said smiling sadly
Juni said nothing but his glare passed the message through as he was unable to pass through due to the fact that Mark was blocking his way, trying to stop him like Juni had earlier thought
" I saw your car come in, I didn't see you in the elevator when I got in so I used the skills you taught me to think ahead"Mark explained but Juni was in no move for his explanation
"Move" Juni growled out and Mark couldn't believe this was the man he had spent 4 years working under, he had never seen Juni in this situation
Juni saw the suprised look on Mark's face , so he calmed his voice down a bit before adding "let me go , Beyonce"
Seeing the glimpse of the man he knew, Mark stood his ground, the man he worked for would never want to do this deep down, he was just angry but Mark resolved that if Juni wasn't available to stop himself then it was left to Mark to stop him
"No boss" Mark replied standing firm at the door way as Juni tried to push past him
"We are glad to have Miss Angela…" the sound flowed to them through the wind and Juni stared into Mark's eyes
"You don't have to do whatever it is you think you have to do right now" Mark commented looking right back at Juni who was not really listening
"Mark.." Juni said and paused for emphasis "If you really believe that I'm innocent, then you would let me go"
Mark sighed letting down his resistance " you saying my name must mean you are really serious,I do believe in you,Mr Cartel"
" Thank you"Juni said making his way past Mark
Mark turned to face his boss's retreating figure and called out as one last attempt to stop him
"We can find the right way to do this ,Mr Cartel"
" This is the right way"the young editor replied over his shoulder before turning the corner leaving behind a defeated secretary
.
Meanwhile
"She's getting a contract signed today at Clements, the company your husband works at"the voice boomed over the speakers to Carmen's ears
"No,that can't be right, she refused " Carmen stated ,the wheels in mind turning rapidly
"Have I ever given you false information?" The voice inquired again to Carmen who was standing in front of her book shelves in her office
"No,but.." she tried to say
"Just answered the damn question" The voice yelled over
" No..you haven't" Carmen replied over the phone to her best Detective contact in town
That man knows almost all of the activities going on in town.
"Good ,so why can't you believe me this time?" The voice asked again
"Because,it should be against the law ,the way she's going about things"Carmen replied slowly
" What do you mean?"the voice inquired
" You couldn't possibly understand"Carmen replied smiling slightly into the phone.
" Well, you know your law and I know my sources, you do your part and I do mine, talk to you later, Carmen" The voice said and finally hung up
" Oh Juni"Carmen sighed out as she quickly dialed her husband's cell but today just wasn't her lucky day as none of it went through.

Juni could see the outline of people in the conference room as he made his way slowly to the entrance,Clara wasn't in her office to stop him so she was probably inside too destroying his life
That thought angered him as he barged in,throwing open the doors
