Morpheous's voice echoed in her head, and Caroline couldn't help but smile ear to ear. The man who walked in front of her was like a Rubik cube. The moment she felt everything was jumbled up, his one swift move set everything right.
Wearing just a denim shirt and jeans, he was braving the spine-chilling breeze outside. The howling wind was numbing the tips of her finger and nose, and even though the morning sun was scintillating at its best, it wasn't enough to warm her up.
Forgetting all the ifs and buts in her heart, she yelled from behind, "Aren't you freezing?"
