"Everyone's ready?" Asked an over-enthusiastic Dr. Van, looking at his team assembled outside Seattle High.
"Dr. Caroline isn't here yet!" Morpheous was the first one to speak out.
The only reason why he was going on this trip was Dr. Caroline. He could have stayed back, healed a few more. But he didn't want her to be out of his sight for the next two days. His eyes were fixated on the entrance, waiting for her arrival.
"Oh, didn't she tell you? She was feeling a bit under the weather, so she decided not to go. I mean, anyways, she couldn't have participated in any of the events."
"Huh!"
His shoulders dropped, and for a moment, he felt like backing out of the trip as well, but then it would have looked insanely odd to others.
Cursing his fate, he looked at Elora, who was over enthusiastically waving at him.
'I am doomed.' He muttered and let out a deep gasp of air.
"Where is your college mate, Dr. Leslie?" Dr. Van asked.
