More than a year have passed since i started living in the orphanage.
Me and naruto have become very good friends. We are practically always together. Because of this the staff and children are starting to ignore me too. I don't mind them most of them will be inconvenient in a few years when i start academy.
Me and naruto spend our days training and learning. Don't think am forcing him to grow up early or something we play too. Usually we play dodgeball, hide and seek or tag to train our speed aim reflexes and stealth.
I am starting to build some seals too i have some storage seals where i hide the books and stuff i steal from sneaking around. I stole some books from the library using transformation jutsu. Yes i tried ninjutsu too. But i haven't tried anything other than that one. I also go to the training grounds to pick up leftover kunai or shurikens or ninja wire discarded there. I sold some of them too using transformation jutsu.
I bought some test tubes and medical tools to save blood samples which i can't collect through syringe.
Naruto is a fucking genius he has got a drive like no one else. Though it should be expected being the son of minato the forth hokage. I wonder why no one bothered to train him in the canon.
He can now read and write much better than kids twice his age. He remembers every book he read mostly because the ones i gave him were about the previous hokages. He works hard in the physical training too. Though we don't do much we are worse than genin right now but that's because we are 2 and i don't want to complicate our growth.
Anyway today was a special day. Today was October tenth yes today was naruto's birthday. I bought a black jacket with orange stripes for him and a book about forth hokage as he is naruto's idol.
It's currently 2 p.m and we were in the field behind orphanage playing tag. Damn that naruto even with uzumaki blood i can't keep with his stamina.
"here you are naruto" an old voice called
I turned to see hiruzen sarutobi walking towards us.
And i am sweating bullets. I have avoided this old man many times because i don't want him to think am some pyscopath or monster. He was an old fox i need to be careful around him.
" jiji you came" naruto called
"of course dear boy it's your birthday today."the third hokage said." i see you have a friend here."
"Yes jiji. This is asahi i told you about. Asahi meet jiji." naruto said
"hi hokage-sama" i said
"no need for such titles just call me jiji like naruto." hokage said
"thanks jiji." i replied
"okay you two go and fresh up. We are going out." sarutobi said
"Where are we going? " asked naruto asked excitedly.
"well to shop some clothes for you both" the hokage said
"excuse me jiji why me though? It's naruto's birthday not mine" i said
"because yours was a month back and i didn't give you any gift did i?" asked the hokage.
I just shook my head
"go and get ready" said the hokage
'what are you playing at old fool'i thought as i made my way back to the orphanage
Later that evening
Me naruto and the hokage are now in the ramen stand waiting for our ramen.
We spent the day shopping for clothes.
Naruto brought black pants and a orange shirt to match the jacket i gave him.
I bought blue pants and a dark green shirt with a blue jacket with green strips.
We spent the day buying some books too as my old collection was about to be finished though we couldn't buy any ninja books due to the hokage.
"here are your orders hokage sama." the owner said as he brought three meals
Not gonna lie the ramen tasted damn good
Naruto and me ate 3 bowls each.
The hokage dropped us in the orphanage.
We both went to sleep after a good day.
3 years later
I am currently in the hospital.
No i am fine nothing happened to me.
Naruto was attacked by the mob. It consisted of the civilians and ninjas too. Pretty sure they had a jonin too
Naruto had gone out for a walk alone as i was sleeping.
"how is he?" the hokage asked. I have never seen him so angry.
"i don't know. They wont tell me." i replied
The hokage nodded and walked inside.
After a few minutes the hokage called me inside
"asahi and naruto. I know you are than strained at this point. But i have some bad news. The orphanage has thrown you both out." the hokage said
"what? Where are we gonna live then?why asahi though i understand they call me demon and they threw me out but why asahi? He didn't do anything." naruto said
"you aren't a demon either naruto you are just the container." i said
"what do you mean the container?" naruto said
The hokage was also glaring at me
'shit' i thought
"nothing naruto. Now i can arrange a house for both of you to live together or i can give you both a house to live separately." the hokage said
"one house" naruto said
"different houses" i said
"why?" they both asked
"if you give him a house the civilians will find out where it is eventually. And they will attack there. So if we have two different houses naruto can lead his followers to his house then sneak into mine. We need both the houses close by so that chance of him being caught are low. " i explained
The hokage looked impressed.
" Okay Naruto you rest i and asahi are going to look for new houses for both of you" the hokage said
We walked away from the hospital.
"how did you know?" the hokage asked
"not that hard to guess everyone calling him demon. Or saying 'finish what the forth started.' And i might have snucked into the library and read about the jinchurikii and tailed beasts." i said giving a sheepish grin.
"what else do you know?" the hokage asked.
"oh you mean him being the son of forth? I dont know how nobody else noticed blond hair and blue hairs is not common in konoha" i replied
"oh so you know that too?" the hokage asked
"yes. Don't worry i won't tell him anything. I haven't yet, have i?" i asked
"No. You can tell him when you think he should know." the hokage said.
I stopped dead on my track."WHAT?WHY?I mean why me jiji? Surely there are many people out there for this better than me?"i asked. 'wtf happened?'
" may be. But you have been with him the longest. You were his first friend and i think may be you will know better than us. We have failed him again and again. The forth wanted him to be seen as the hero but people look at him as the demon. Idiots." the hokage said getting angry at the last part
" Fine. But first tell me what are you hiding. There is something that doesn't add up. Tell me what you are not saying jiji. "i demanded
" i guessed you would see through this. You know who your parents were? "
I shook my head
" they were rashi togua and akhir samuei. They were both civilian ninjas. But they were also s class ninjas of konoha. They were old teammates of minato from back when they were genin. They died fighting with minato against the kyuubi." the hokage said
I just nodded dumbly. That came as a huge shock. 'My parents were fucking s-class nin? Wtf? That too born civilian? And they were minato's teammates? This was too much.'
" You don't hate naruto do you? "the hokage asked
" what? No way. I want to be his teammate like my parents were his. Old man if you don't put us together I will purposefully fail the test. "i said
The hokage smiled in relief." ok you two will be teammates no matter what anyone says."
We both continued walking in silence
