When we heard the panicked voice of Lorcan's mother from the upstairs. We ran there, without thinking a second, we followed Lorcan, who ran to see where did his mate go missing.
Yeah, his mate. From when he has found her, he's staying with her, not moving his body and not even giving a damn to his Alpha's business, like seriously how can he be so irresponsible just because he has found his mate. The most important fact is, he doesn't even let us see what the hell she is. Whenever we try to ask him to see her he started suckling.
I mean, yeah man we know you're a werewolf and she's your mate and it's your right to be possessive over her but we are his friends, right? and it's not like we will gonna hurt her.
But since when he's started acting all possessive over her I'm starting hating his mate. It is better if she's gone now or I would have killed her to making our friend go all crazy and not letting him taking care of the Alpha's business. Even though we were under attack the rogues he's spending his time with his mate!
"How did this fucking happened!" Lorcan, literally yelled at his mother when we reached into his room and found nothing but the empty bed. And I think the way he yelled at his mother was quite offensive but what to do he's like this, he's only good with the thing that he likes some goes to the people.
I'm sure his mate doesn't know his this true self or she might not dare to come into his territory. Being a mate of this guy is a terrible mistake.
I know I'm his friend but the way Sometimes he acts are really extravaganza. God knows how will his mate be able to cope with him. I'm feeling pity for her, although I've not seen her when I heard about her suffering because she's an Omega which means she's a human, my heart ached for her.
But how does she come into this void? It's not the place where she belongs, she should be staying in the human world but how come she comes to this ruthless place. Was she so eager to spend the rest of her life as being an Omega in this world?
I don't belong to this place either. I have some powers but I'm not a werewolf-like them. The powers which I have, given me a long life span so I'm living with the human, disguising myself as a CEO of a company. And human life is really good on the contrary of type of life which that human girl will be in here, then how did she come here. Just to suffer?
"I don't - don't know. I checked her body temperature and noticed that she was burning hot with a high fever, so I went into the washroom to grab a cold towel for her... But,... But when I come back, I found.. that-that she's gone. I'm- I'm sorry Lorcan. I shouldn't have left her alone." Mrs. Lily Lorcan shuttered telling him the truth but he got more pissed when he heard from his mother.
"I shouldn't have left her with you. You can not fulfill any task which I give you!" Lorcan yelled at her and she flinched.
"Lorcan, she's your mom, how can you yell at her in this disrespectful way. Moreover, it's not her fault that your mate goes missing. Your mom was just trying to reduce her fever. Isn't it is your mate's personality as a human to go around like the way you found her in the middle of the forest? Wasn't she was wandering around that time too." I put a hand on Lorcan's shoulder to stop him from losing his temper with his mother just because her mate is at fault to go out without telling us.
"Shut up, Adrian. You are no one to talk about my luna in this way. Got it?" Lorcan growled in anger.
"And you are no one to talk in that disrespectful way to your mother because of your mate!" I raised a step towards him to let him remind him to not talk with his mother like that and it seems like he got it right in his mind when he looked at his mother from me and guilt run on his face.
"I'm sorry mom, I shouldn't have yelled at you. I was at the fault. I lost myself with my wolf when I don't see my mate." He asks forgiveness from his mother and she smiled at me.
"It's okay, Lorcan. I can understand. But it's not the right time for this. We need to find your mate before she could be found by anyone else. She could be in danger. " His mother prompted him.
"Let's go out to find her, maybe she jumped out of the window." Cade, interrupts us, and we looked at him standing beside a half-open glass window but it was sufficiently broad enough for a person to jump out of it.
"Geez, does she jumped out knowing she's on a high floor? Is she insane?" I let out in unbelievably when we made our way to Cade. We are on the first floor, it's not so high for someone like us to jump out but for a human being it's reasonably on a height. She has some shattered bones If she jumped out here.
"Let's go out. We should find her in all directions. We should separate." Cade suggested and we all jumped out and started digging through for the mate of Lorcan.
"We need to find her before she gets into the hand of rogues and she should be safe and sound," Lorcan said with anxiety.
"Expect, with some broken bones, she will be fine." I sneered at the thought that she jumped out.
"Whoever finds her first, will indicate other, now go," Lorcan commanded and we separated our way to find her.
Cade, went towards the woods since he knows more about the woods. Lorcan went towards the periphery of the territory and I decided to stroll at the edge of the sea since I'm not inquisitive in finding his mate. She should not have come here in the first place because this place is not for humans. These ruthless packs consider humans as the lowly Omega and treat them as slaves. Humans are not meant to cross their ways with these pack either they want to live their life as a slave.
Truthfully, An omega wolf can be either male or female and is the scapegoat, the lowest ranking member of the pack. The omega lives on the outskirts of the pack, usually eating last. The omega serves as both a stress-reliever and instigator of play. But now the wolves think of themselves as the highest-ranking creatures and they look at all as the lowly creatures, therefore, they treat humans as Omega, but only if a human comes to them voluntarily.
Werewolves are not always scoundrels.
Well, it is aside, can't talk highly of them either if am saying they are not the scoundrels all the time, then I'm talking about only those I know.
As I said earlier, I decided to wander around the seashore, I started making my way towards the bushes.
I keep walking deeper into the forest, dodging fallen limbs.
I keep walking for another twenty minutes, not finding Lorcan's mate any place around me, not as I care but I have to do even if it just for a formality, and then I
stop, facing a thick area of shrubs. "This is it." I let out, tilting my head. I was overwhelming with the joy of to the right place where I originally planned to come before making my mind to find that Omega. But not anymore.
I push my hands through and separate the little sharp branches, and then step
one foot in until I'm on the other side. Letting it go, it flings back into place and
I wipe my hands on my legs. "Finally" I whisper, stepping forward and taking in the surroundings.
The bright sunlight is reflecting off the silky water waves of the ocean, and, the waves were hitting the rocks to spread apart.
It looks stunning, something out of a storybook. This is the favorite place where I always come to. Or should I say a secret place?
I raised my steps more towards the water and sat down on the cold sand beneath me. The waves making the sound of hitting the hard rocks, which were laying on the edge of the seashore, making the crystal cream water shuffle.
I was sitting there putting my body weight on my arms behind my body and my face towards the ocean. The soft chilly air touching my body and the sun making the colorful dots in my closed eyelids. I smiled at the peace of this place.
But that feeling doesn't stay long as I felt the air getting colder than before, I stopped seeing dots on my closed eyes, and it means the sun is shining brightly as before.
My brows furrowed and I opened my eyes and up the sky. It was no longer clear as earlier, now it's covering with dark gloomy clouds.
What's wrong with the weather suddenly? I saw the forecast it was showing something like that and as far as I know, it's not the wedding of any wolves in this pack. The sudden change in weather shouldn't be the reason for their wedding.
I looked down at my wristwatch and noticed it's not long ago since I've come here but I should be heading back now. I turned around and raised my feet in the direction of the pack but before I could land it on the sand I stopped as noticed I saw something on the left side. I hurriedly turned around and saw someone.
It's a girl, but what does a girl doing here. How the hell does she know about this place. It's a place which is known by only Five of us. Lorcan, Cade, Vincent, Taylor, and me. And I'm pretty damn sure none of us has ever told anyone about this place. And no one dares to come here since they have to cross the place where the dark creatures stay.
That girl was far away from me, but I can see her, thanks to my powers. She was in thin clothes, her hair was disheveled. I made my way towards her to ask who is she.
Just as I was racing towards her my heart starting pounding.
I clenched my chest, not able to breathe. What's wrong with me. Stopping for a second to calm my throbbing heart, I gaze to the place where the girl was earlier only to find she wasn't there anymore. Where did she go?
I run and saw her walking at the edge of the water, she was under the water. I stand at the side but not so far from that girl, and I could see her back facing me as she looked up at the sky and started walking more into the water with her wobbly steps.
Is she trying to kill herself? What the hell! I started to run as if my life depends on her and reached her in a blink of my eyes. I jerked her back out and saw the water in which she was standing was not the waters but the ice as the temperature goes down more than before. I run my eyes on the surface of the sea, but no matter how far I look it was frozen. The whole damn sea was frozen, just then the raindrops started pouring, piercing my body.
I hurried to cover the girl with my trench coat, who was still standing in front of me. She was so close that I could feel her warmth and warm breaths hitting my chest.
She was shivering when I looked down at her, but strangely she started getting out of my grip and she pushed me with her hands and I took a step back as she started running away from me.
"Hey! Stop right there!" I yelled out to stop her but she was just running away. I'm pretty sure she's not someone from this pack neither she is a wolf. Who the hell is she?
I wondered as I tried to catch up to her but she got lost from my eyesight.
The realization hit me like a train when I recalled that she was wearing Lorcan's clothes, I could smell his scent on her. Was she his mate? Oh shit! I cussed under my breath as I followed her footprints on the sand but stopped at the point when I saw where it's heading. She has gone to the dark forest where the dark creatures stay!
Should I go back to call Lorcan and others? Should I go behind her?
But If I go back to call Lorcan, she might be dead till we come back to find her.
"Shit, this girl is already getting on my nerves!" I cursed and decided to go behind her before she would face any creatures.
I started heading to the more intensive forest and for the holy mother's sake, it's getting darker here!
I stopped at a point and tried to hear her thoughts but nothing works. How could not hear her thoughts? In the history of my life, there wasn't any human whose thought I couldn't hear unless they are dead.
Does that mean- "Fuck." I clenched my fist and decided to find her no matter what if she dead or alive. I have to bring her back to Lorcan.
