Chapter 3 - 2. ''OPEN YOUR BAG''

Beren felt more comfortable with the dress than she thought. Since they did not have time to waste time in the store, she chose one of the dresses the salesperson suggested. She also did her makeup casually in the car, it wasn't exaggerated. It could not be said that Naz was very different from this situation. Wearing a dress was considered an exaggeration for both already.

When Naz said, "I want it!" then she jumped in screams, Beren lost her focus and began to examine the sports car in front of them. Then she looked at the price tag of this orange car that Naz liked so much, though calling it 'car' should have been a sin. "Expensive. Too much." Beren said and turned to Naz with a pouting face. Naz was also curious about the price. "How much?" silently looked at the price tag, after she saw it with widening eyes, pulled Beren to another place by the arm. Naz was disappointed. They had to blackmail at least three other people to get this car. They continued to move forward. Beren followed her without realizing where they were going. They had gotten into the crowd. This was the place for sale. As they approached the stage, they stopped moving further and began listening to the sound rising from the large speakers positioned on the right and left sides.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Aston Martin Valkyrie is on sale!" The attendant's voice was excited. 'Who could buy something so expensive like this?' Thought Beren. Then she continued to watch instead of thinking about it.

"You didn't want to come." Naz said, she must have been surprised to see Beren paying attention and watching carefully. Beren turned her eyes to Naz with a straight glance.

"Wait a minute! It looks like we have a pretender for Valkyrie. Young actor Han Jae In! Yes, he's here and he's buying the car. Our applause is for him!" The attendant who made the announcement pointed a place with his hand, and everyone looked in that direction and started clapping. The crowd was overly enthusiastic. Beren and Naz could not perceive the name they heard at first, then they realized it and they started to catch their eyes with fear. Both of them were in a hurry. Nevertheless, they tried to adapt to those around them and not show their attitude. The womens were whispering and laughing among each other while applauding. In imitating them, they both put a smile on their faces and started clapping.

After all, what was Jae In doing here? Was he following them? It probably should have been the other way around, and if Jae In saw them here, he would think the same. It was against the deal. They shouldn't have seen someone they blackmailed after the job was done!

"Can I have you on the stage, Mr. Han?" said the man in charge of the sale. Applause and screams loomed as Jae In approached the attendant. After he got on the stage, his eyes were drawn to the crowd lined up under the stage, he was looking at the people and bowing slightly to greet them. Beren prayed for not to be visible in his eyes. But thanks to Naz's curiosity, they were watching the scene almost from the front. That being the case, it would be a great chance if Jae In didn't recognize his big enemy.

Beren was trying to plan something before things getting worse. If she turned her back to the stage right now or got out of here running, she would have attracted more attention, and Jae would have seen her anyway. Also, she couldn't run in this crowd. After Jae In appeared on the stage, people were getting closer and squeezed to the stage in order to see this handsome actor better, and Beren and Naz were also more under pressure and pushed to the stage more. Beren thought what else they could do to hide, but she had no idea. They seemed unable to get out of this crowd unless God teleported them elsewhere.

The attendant happily handed the key to Han Jae In and "Now it's yours!" he yelled. Jae In took the key from him between the words of thanks.

"Thanks again!" Jae In said, and just then his eyes met with Beren's. The smile on Jae In's face had disappeared.

A command echoed in Beren's mind; RUN.

There was nothing left to do. It didn't matter that they got attention when passing through the crowd anymore. "Naz, go on now, start the car and wait for me two blocks away. We have to get out from here as far as we can." Beren said.

Jae In hurriedly placed the microphone in the hand of the attendant and walked down the stage with quick steps. "Did he see you?" Naz asked. There was no time to linger. "Yes, go before he see you either!" Beren had already started to run after she answered. Naz, proceeded towards the exit without waiting too. While Naz hit the people on the exit on the left, Beren headed for the ladies' room on the right. Although it wasn't the best place to hide, she hadn't thought of anything better. She had to stop and think in a quiet place first. She would've find a way out, she had to be. A lot of things crossed her mind as she go on: What if a mishap arises and we get caught by the police? What if we are threatened with our lives like last time? At least this time, they don't recognize Naz's face. At least she can survive if somethings happen to me.

She continued to run rapidly as she broke through the crowd and asked forgiveness from the people she had hit. Since she knew Jae In was behind her, even if she was tired she would never slowed down. After a while, now she can move more comfortably because she was outpaced the crowd already. That's why she was walking steadily anymore. On the other hand, she was thinking about Naz. Where would she wait for her?

Jae In said "Wait!" but Beren did not stop when he called out, even added a little more speed to her steps. It was like Jae In guessed that Beren was going to do this, he ran after her. The sign for the ladies' room was visible, Beren's heart quickened a little bit faster when she saw this sign. She just could get there in 4-5 steps.

There wasn't a guarantee that Jae In wouldn't get in there with this shamelessness, though.

When Beren's hair was pulled suddenly and she hesitated, she unable to prevent the scream coming out of her mouth. Then she firstly hit her forehead, after it that wasn't enough so her whole body hitted hard on the wall, because of the rough push from her back made from Jae In. She knew that Jae In could be rude, but she hadn't expected this either. One way or another, it was happening for 15 or 20 inappropriate photos. He was not a gentleman at all(!)

"Let me go!" She was screaming in fear. Jae In said, "Shut up!" and Beren was more afraid when he hissed in a harsh voice to her. Han Jae In wasn't so safe anyway so it wasn't be awkward for her to be scared of him. Beren and Naz knew this best. The content of the photographs taken by Beren could prove this. Beren let Jae In continue, instead of screaming again. This time Taehyung was also speaking Korean. "Have you been following me?" He said. It was an expected question, of course. When Beren moved to answer, Jae In leaned hard against her, thinking maybe she would run away again. "No, it was a coincidence. Would you stop leaning on my body please? Are you also abuser or something?" Han Jae In didn't care about those last six words Beren said. Jae In "Do not chase me, I said I'll send you the money!" he roared. "If I were following you, I would have a camera with me." said Beren, writhing in pain. All of her body limbs and nerve endings, especially her arms were hurting. Jae In must have been thoroughly annoyed with this answer. His nervousness was evident in his shaky breath, but Beren was confident, well aware that she was making a good point.

Jae In said, "Open your bag." with a serious face. Beren laughed mockingly when he ordered. "What?" She asked. "I said, open your bag! How could I know you didn't hide it there?"

As Jae In pulled back his body that he had glued to Beren, Beren breathed a sigh of relief, groping her outfit. Jae In's eyebrows were frowned, his broad forehead was slightly wet with sweat, which must have been because he had difficulty running after her. It was very contrasting to the shabby look of the morning with the suit he wore.

Beren was hesitant.

Should she open her bag to him?

But she knew that if she did not open the bag, this bad moment would be prolonged, so she took her bag, which had fallen to the ground.

She unzipped her not-so-large handbag with anger. Jae In focused on Beren's hand gestures. Beren digged into her hand in the bag and gave it over to Jae In one by one. Then she stopped when there was nothing left in the bag to take out more. "Satisfied?" She said. Then she stuffed the things she had gave to his hand, back into the bag. Jae In did not answer.

"Think twice before pulling my hair next time, actually don't do it again." Beren zipped up her purse. She didn't expect Jae In to apologize to her or anything, it was impossible because he was still angry. But actually in Jae In's mind it wasn't because of the anger. He was still thinking that maybe she could took his pictures with her phone. But this time, he didn't dare to ask. He wasn't doing anything suspicious though, he was only having fun with a normal way in an exhibition. This wasn't illegal or anything. So he gave up on being harsh on a tiny woman. Taehyung released his lips, which he took in his mouth and pressed them together and let Beren go as she wanted.

Beren semicircled away from the crowd and headed for the exit door. The moment she got out, the cold air hit her face and body, causing her to tremble. Since it was autumn, the weather was very changeable in Korea.

On the second street, the open headlights of the car greeted Beren. When a faint horn sounded, she stepped further. When she opened the door, Naz's curiously asked questions, made her smile. "Where were you? What happened there? Why did you send me first? I could stay there and help you!"

"Han Jae In... He noticed us when he got on the stage, I mean me." She said, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Why did you come too late? Did he do something to you?" She raised her eyebrows and turned to Naz. She was nodding positively, with a negative facial expression. "Jae came after me and checked to see if there was a camera in my bag." She didn't tell Naz about the hair scene. It would just made her upset and worried.

After Naz's curses at Jae In, they were both thoughtful the rest of the way. There wasn't any sound from anyone. Still, Beren felt like she could hear the sounds of spinning wheels in both of their minds. She wasn't comfortable about Han Jae In. The fact that they did not know enough about the Min guy was a factor that prevented her from seeing where things could go. She and Naz had promised each other that they would work carefully since they got into trouble, but this time the amount of the money was so high and because of that Naz should have accepted the job in excitement. Beren, quickly wanted to take the money from both Min and Jae and return to Turkey. It could not be said that Naz had the opposite opinion. What was happened tonight making her feel disturbed, it was far beyond the limit of her.

When they came to the familiar parking lot, they got out of the car and, again maintaining the same silence, headed for the elevators. It was Naz who broke this long silence when they reached the door of their rooms. "Good night. Try not to worry about Han Jae In, I'll call Min and try to speed things up on that side." Beren shook her head up and down like in the car. She said, "Good night, we'll figure it out. We must be used to these salty things." Then she turned to the door and entered her room.

When she got inside, she took off the jacket she had worn for not to get cold over the dress and threw it on the floor, and, disregarding the fact that she was stepping on the jacket, proceeded to the bed and left herself among the soft fabrics of the bed. She got rid of her heels, which were squeezing her ankles. She took off her dress while still lying on the bed and pushed it to the floor.

She deserved to sleep ...
