Chereads / MADDOHATTA / Chapter 4 - THREE

Chapter 4 - THREE

Inhuman : lacking human qualities of compassion and mercy; cruel and barbaric.

Yoi's POV

"Aren't you going home yet Yoi?"

Hebi asked me, we are currently staying in the locker room of our section for a moment. I was sitting in front of my locker in an Indian pose and she was standing in front of me. I bowed sadly. How can I go home? Reporters are waiting for me outside the campus and there are Aya Namakemoto's friends were still waiting for me outside the locker room, and I felt bad for Hebi being involved in this situation because of me. No teachers or staff are helping me here at school, even Dad doesn't help me as he is busy with his business. I just cried when I realized that no one could really help me. Except Hebi not leaving me alone.

"Hey, everything will be alright, okay,"

She said while sitting next to me and hugged me, ensuring that I'll be fine.

"Get out of there Yoi!"

Aya Namakemoto's furious friends are here again, banging the door countless times. Five of them were waiting outside, three men and two women, the other was Aya's boyfriend. They used to be kind to me because Aya and I were friends even though our daddy was competing in business, so since the massacre happened, they have been angry with me because they believed in what they saw in the CCTV footage. Whatever reason I explain to them, they still don't believe me.

"Face us! Show your true self to us! Bitch!"

They still shouted, fuming in anger. I cried even more. What did I do wrong and did this happen to me?

"Yoi di--"

Suddenly there was silence outside. Hebi and I looked at each other. What's happening outside? Why did they suddenly fall silent?

"H-hebi l-can we go out?"

I nervously asked her.

"No, maybe they're still out there."

I did not listen to her. I stood up and opened the door there was no one left and I was almost deaf to the silence that reigned in the hallway. This is weird.

"Hebi, I think they're tired and go home,"

"Maybe."

She agrees. We went to the gym and peek from there the school gate. We'll just see if the reporters are still there. And fortunately, they are now gone. I was surprised looking at Hebi. This is getting weird. What's happening? We utter no words when we get out of school.

"Are you sure you won't let us send you? It's already dark Yoi and maybe something else will happen to you on your way home."

Hebi's dad asked me worriedly. He picked up Hebi and wanted me to go with them but I was embarrassed. I'm too much of a burden to Hebi.

"I'll be fine uncle. And don't worry I can handle myself."

I assured him.

"Are you sure?"

I smiled and nodded. He sighed then smiling, messed up my hair.

"Be careful, okay."

He said.

"Take care Yoi. Bye-bye."

Hebi smiled and they left. I was left alone on the dark road. It was 9 o'clock in the evening. My phone is already out of battery, and it looks like it's raining. I also walked a long way. I also didn't really go through the highway because maybe someone would see me and hit me again with another question. I just go around everywhere. Whatever.

"How are you?"

I stopped walking when I heard that familiar voice. My whole body suddenly went cold. How did he find me? I can't move.

"I have some presents for you. I'm sure you'll like it,"

He added, I still didn't turn to look at him. What is he doing? I gasped when he suddenly hugged me from behind. That hot and cold presence. It's fixing and breaking me.

"W-what do you want from me?"

I stuttered to ask him, I still couldn't move even if I wanted to.

"I just miss you."

He whispered in my ear and I shivered. I felt he was not wearing a mask. I was suddenly moved inside this is my chance to see his face and get to know him.

"Don't even think about doing it, lady."

I could not carry out my plan when he said that. My heart beat faster because of the nervousness that now overwhelms me. I swallowed hard.

"Wanna see my presents?"

He asked and I nodded. He suddenly faced me but this time he had a mask worn on.

"Do you like it?"

I almost fainted in fear when he shows me the five severed heads of Aya's friends in my face. Their eyes were still wide open. Tremors engulf my entire system. I cried in fear. I feel like I'm going crazy any moment from now. I no longer knew what to do. I helplessly kneeled down in front of him.

"Please stop doing this to me,"

I begged between my sobs.

"I thought it'll make you happy."

Suddenly the tone of his voice changed, as if he didn't like my reaction.

"I killed them for you. And now you're begging me to stop. You didn't even thank me. Are you insane?"

He added disappointedly. Jesus Christ! Is he even a human?

"You should be happy. They're gone now. They won't bother you anymore"

"But t-this ain't right. It's inhuman!"

He threw away the heads he was carrying and he approached me. He grabbed my hair and pulled me upright. I endured the pain when he pulled me. He brought his masked face closer to my face.

"Inhuman huh? How can you be this nice to someone who's mad at you because of those things you didn't do?"

How did he know they hated me? Who's he?

"Say, wanna see more inhuman?"

What is he saying?

"I'll show you more"

And suddenly I lost consciousness.
