"I did expect you to not go down without a fight, but to defeat a high ranking demon, that's a master stroke!" The man exclaimed. "So confused..." I thought to myself. "Master, I think you need to bow before him," Faith suggested. "Why?" I asked. "Because he is-" "Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Lucifer, Lucifer Morningstar, a pleasure to meet you." Of course, he's Lucifer, why wouldn't he be? Why didn't I realize that my odds of meeting Lucifer himself were higher than meeting Tom Ellis?
"Ah, it seems to be that you're under my darling wife's familia. That's wonderful! Take good care of Alex, she can be quite a handful sometimes," Lucifer claimed. "Oh, that is sooo not true," Alex complained. "And are these also your companions? Judging by their pitiful aura, they're humans," Lucifer stated, as he pointed towards Lavender and Dan. "Y-yeah, let me introduce myself and the others," I struggled to speak as I got up. "My name is... call me Jay, this is Lavender, my sister, and this is Dan, my friend," I said. "H-hi, your majesty," Dan stuttered. "Anyways, let's get down to business, shall we?" Lucifer said, totally ignoring Dan's greeting.
"Doesn't look very happy to see humans here," I thought to myself. "Master, the majesty has been through a lot of hardships, and humans were the ones that started it, so we should steer clear of this topic," Faith added. Lucifer walked over to the end of the corridor, turned back, and said, "I'm guessing you've come here for the Profiteía tou thanátou checkup? If yes, it's happening right on the other side of this door. Good luck kid, you're gonna need it," Lucifer winked. Did The Devil just wink at me? That- oh nevermind, this is going to be a long long recess. Thud thud, thud thud, thud... my heart was beating at an alarming rate, loud enough for me to notice that I was super nervous. "Please don't let there be a crowd," I repeated to myself, as I walked through the doors, unaware of the 'crowd' that was waiting for me.
"Looks like my chants didn't work," I said to myself. "Master, the words you were repeating weren't actual chants," Faith replied. "I made it up, Faith. Read between the lines," I thought to myself. The view standing before me was one to drool upon. It was like a gladiator's ring, but so much bigger. The amphitheater was big enough to accommodate twice the population of the Earth, and the seats were... filled to the brim! My legs began to give up as my nausea and stage fear began to kick in. "Keep moving, you wuss," Dan said, as he held me up. "Thanks," I whispered.
"Succubuses, incubuses, and my fellow demons," a commentator on the top of the ring spoke. "Today, we're gathered here for our new comrades, the young demons and demi-demons, to join our forces, welcoming with us today, is the Oracle and, His Majesty, Sir Lucifer!" The crowd cheered and clapped, and some even roared, at the appearance of Lucifer. The eyes of the demons and the demi-demons standing beside me were sparkling, as they each aspired to be great as Lucifer. "As if," I thought to myself. "Master! That's rude!" Faith exclaimed. "Sorry..." I apologized. " Faith, turn back to human," I ordered. Poof! The Faith we all knew, appeared in front of us. "Still have that maid costume on..." I said. "Should I change?" Faith inquired. "Nah, keep it, it suits you," I smiled (it was a genuine smile, not an awkward smile like the one before fighting Asmodeus). Faith's face quickly flushed with red, as she hid it behind her slender hands.
The Oracle pulled a table out of thin air, then placed a crystal ball on it. "Future sight?" I thought to myself. 7 tall figures were standing by the Oracle, waiting. One by one, the demons and demi-demons were called out. The first one was named Sarrik or something. He placed his hand on the crystal, and it began to glow a faint yellow. "Gluttony!" The Oracle declared. Sarrik went over to the dude with a yellow robe. "Wait! Gluttony? Are they the SDS?" I quietly asked. "Yeah, now focus," Alex hushed. Another kid came in, called Argar went towards the Crystal and put his hand on it. It didn't glow at first but slowly began to glow a faint green. Is that envy? "Envy!" The Oracle declared. "Called it," I murmured to myself. After a lot of colors later, I was called out. "Jay!" The Oracle read out.
Shit! It's my turn. With hollow steps, I walked over towards the crystal, with Faith by my side. With a crushing case of butterflies in my stomach, I place my hand upon the crystal, hoping that something would happen. As expected, the crystal began to glow, began to glow... scarlet? Lust? No way! "Lust!" The Oracle declared. Lust? Seriously? I agree I'm a little on the dark side, but not enough to put me across as lustful! As I was about to remove my hand and dejectedly walk over to the creepy looking being in a scarlet robe, but then suddenly, another color prominently began to appear, it was... orange? The Oracle looked surprised but then continued. "Lust and Wrath!" The Oracle exclaimed. "Huh... 2 sins? Is that normal?" I asked the Oracle. "It isn't common but it isn't rare either. You're good to go." The Oracle stated.
I sighed and was about to leave, but the crystal had some other plans, as it swiftly began changing its color to... Yellow? Now green? Blue? Purple? Gray? What the actual fudge is going on here? The crystal kept on increasing its pace, switching between Scarlet, orange, all the way to gray, and continued to switch, getting brighter each time it switched. "Oh no! If this continues, the crystal might-" Crack! A huge crack appeared on the crystal ball! Silence. Then, the ball shattered, the crystal shards flying everywhere. The crowd went crazy, with howling, shouting, and other angry noises. "The crystal's broken! There's no way a demi-human has such power!" Someone from the crowd yelled, and everyone seemed to agree.
Lucifer got up from his seat, and raised his hand, and motioned for silence, and in the blink of an eye, the whole amphitheater sat quietly. Nothing moved, as if time itself has stopped. "He's got influence..." I thought to myself. Then, Lucifer calmly turned his attention over to me. I'm done for. He walked up to me, with every step, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. "Goodbye, cruel world," I thought to myself. He stopped a few feet in front of me, and said, "Well, you keep getting interesting every time I take my eyes off you. I wonder what you become during your training," Lucifer stated. T-training? "Now that we know what you're capable of, you're most probably getting eyed on all the time. And you're also assigned to all the 7 Generals, so you're life is gonna become a living Hell, LITERALLY," Lucifer chuckled as he walked back through the door.
