I could feel all the other demons and demi-demons were staring at me, and at that moment, they all shared one sin, envy. "Keep it together, I'm sure your 'training' won't kill you," Lavender said with a smirk on her face. "Wipe that swagger off your face! I'll show you I can survive this," I said, with determination. "I bet you $10 he won't survive today," Dan mentioned. "I'll bet you $20 he won't even survive the first training he receives from Pride," Lavender added. "I'll show you," I muttered under my breath. "I'll bet a $100 that he'll survive all the training, including Pride's," a voice came from behind me.
I briskly turned around and found myself looking at copper, perfectly groomed, long hair that gently hangs over a fine, radiant face. Hollow hazel eyes, set far within their sockets. Her smooth skin gracefully compliments her hair and leaves a satisfying memory of her. There's something intriguing about her, perhaps it's the gentleness in her speech or the beauty that she withholds. "Hey! I'm Sarah, Sarah Williams. How do you do?" Sarah introduced, as she put forward her hand. "I'm Jay, it's lovely to meet you," I said, as I shook her hand.
"So you're a demi-demon too?" Sarah asked. "Yeah, I am," I replied. "So which familia are you under?" Sarah inquired. "Honestly, I have no clue," I replied. "He's under my mother's familia," Alex added. "Your mothe- don't tell me... you're Lilith's daughter!" Sarah exclaimed. "Wow... I've heard so much about you," Sarah added. "Well, looks like someone's a little famous," I said mockingly. "Not as famous as you are though, you managed to tick mark all the sins... including the most difficult sin to be under, Lust..." Sarah blushed. "Tha- it's-" I tried to defend myself but to no avail. "It's fine, there's no need to be so 'on-edge', lust... is normal, I guess," Alex said. "Anyways, I'm under Pride too, so let's train the best we can!" Sarah exclaimed. "S-sure... train," I replied. Oh, wait! I forgot to mention something. I. ABSOLUTELY. HATE. TRAINING. FOR. ANYTHING.
"Listen up, soldiers-in-the-making! Under me, I'm only going to expect the best from you, and nothing but the best, so if you refuse to show me what I'm looking for..." Pride said. "I will rip it out of you. IS THAT CLEAR?" Pride added. "YES SIR!" A unanimous voice boomed out. Unanimous usually means that we're all in the same boat, and I hope that's true in this case. I turned around to see Alex, Dan, and Lavender holding up their crossed fingers. Tch! I'll show them! "Now... we don't have much time, Gluttony and his bunch of turds are going to be here for their training, so let's wrap this up!" Pride menacingly said as if he had a plan. "We're going to have a duel," Pride mentioned.
"Um... excuse me, Sir," a kid with green hair said. "Yes?" Pride asked. "Why a duel sir? Especially at the very beginning of the training," The kid asked. "What's your name, young boy?" Pride inquired. "J-Jason, Sir," Jason stuttered. Pride walked towards the boy, and said, "I need to know if you are worth training," Pride whispered, but it was loud enough to send chills down everyone's spine. *Gulp* Pride is one scary dude... "Well then! Let's have a random poll," Pride said. "Random? Yeah right," I heard someone whisper in the crowd. "Wait, is it not random?" I asked Sarah, who was standing beside me. "Well, not exactly. There's this field of study called 'Personal magic', where every general gets the material to create one," Sarah began. "Wait, you can create personal magic?" I inquired. "Yeah, but it takes a lot of hard work and patience. So Pride worked on some 'telekinesis' where he can move stuff based on how hurt his ego is," Sarah continued. "Wow..." I drifted off.
"Yeah, the more his ego is hurt, the more he can lift, and he uses this to his advantage to make it more likely for certain matchups," Sarah mentioned. "Cool, got it! I exclaimed. Pride brought a table, placed a box, and picked it up, and jerked it around, then placed it back on the table. "I'm going to call you one by one. Each of you is going to get a colored paper, and those that have the same color are matched up," Pride said. "Well, that sounds simple enough," I said. "Best of luck, because if you're coming up against me, you're going to need it," Sarah smirked. "Don't think I'll be going easy on you!" I replied.
"Please don't have the same color as Sarah," I repeated, just like I did for the checkup, but I might have ended up jinxing it. I put my hand into the rough cardboard box and felt my hand getting rubbed by something. I realized it was Pride's doing, and picked up another paper. I pulled it out, and it was... what in the world was it? It was like a mixture of purple, pink, black, and red, but it was so menacing and, to be honest, it kind of shows how it would look like if someone ate a purple piña colada, and then puked it all out on that piece of paper. I hurriedly looked around to see if anyone had the same color as me, but as far as I could tell, there was no one! My happiness knew no bounds, and I felt like hopping around like a rabbit and show those ungrateful brats that I really could survive the training sessions. And... looks like I jumped to conclusions.
"Ah! Looks like you're with me!" Pride yelled. Everyone directed their attention over to me, then onto what color paper, I was holding, as their color drained out of their faces. "He's done for," I heard someone say. I could hear whispers all around me, while I was still oblivious of what the hell was happening! Pride walked over to me, clearing out the crowd in front of him. He kept walking until he was only a few feet away from me, and that's when I noticed a paper in his hand, the color was... the infamous puked purple piña colada.
