After that scene in the cafeteria, more eyes are now looking at me as I walk in the hallway. This is getting more annoying than it should be. That's why I don't want to get involved with them as Kendall, this happens! I only have this class left and still, everyone can't get over with Vaughn stopping me and even the thought that he just carelessly touch my hand. That's not my fault though.
"Isn't she that girl that grabs Vaughn's hand?"
"Yeah, I also heard that she follows Vaughn in the library to make a move on him."
"Really? The nerve! I think she thinks Vaughn will like her because she got the same grades as him."
"Yeah right, look at her she's too ugly for Vaughn."
"I hope she stops being so desperate and stops bugging Vaughn."
"She looks so pity, hahaha."
That's what I hear for the rest of the day. I can't help myself but be angry at him for putting me in the spotlight. Even those rumors were false and the fact that even those who know that the rumors aren't true doesn't do anything to clear it. I mean there are those students near our table who clearly see that Vaughn is the one who grabs my hands. And also the students in charge of the library at that time know that Vaughn is the one who asks me to help him. I just sigh, I know ranting in my head wouldn't help.
As I look at the seat beside me, I also hope that I too can skip class. Well, Zeke, my seatmate, isn't one to attend classes regularly since he's always needed at the headquarters. And I noticed that the twins don't attend some classes nowadays. I heard a rumor that they've been practicing for the upcoming battle of the bands. So does Arsyn that's why I haven't talked with her for a while.
The bell rings signaling the class to end and I just put my things in my bag and hurriedly walk out there. But to no avail, a group of clowns blocks the exit and looks at me disgustingly. "Hey nerdy, where are you going?" says a girl with a really thick red lipstick.
"I bet she's going to stalk Vaughn again and try to make a move on him." says the one with neon nails.
"Oh, poor little nerd thinks Vaughn will like him. How do you even impress him? Divide him by zero?" then the whole clown troops laugh. First of that joke sucks just like them. And second, they suck. Geez.
"I-I don't like Vaughn. Please let me go through." I said but one of the girls grab my hair and fuck that stings! That's it! I had enough with these clowns! Just as I was about to fight back I saw a figure in the window and I just smirk and I act like I was really helpless then a flash appears. The clown troops look at the person who took a picture of us then freezes, all blood drains out of their body.
"Now, what do you guys think would the disciplinary board say when they saw that a student in a prestigious school like this one bullies a helpless girl." says a girl with a white headband looking so stern and cute at the same time.
"Miss Lonia we're so sorry, please this won't happen again." the girls look like they were about to cry that's why Lonia let them go. As they were nowhere in sight me and Lonia look at each other then laugh. "Geez, that was epic, thanks Lonia." She just smiles at me and helps me pick up my things.
"What are you doing here by the way," I ask her as I fix myself then she looks nervously. That is not a good sign. "I was looking for you actually can we talk it out in my office?" I just nod at her. As a student council president, she has the luxury to have her own office in this school. And once we arrive she closes the door and the worried look return to her face.
"Lons what is this about? Is it about the twins again?"
"No, it's something about you. The president wants you to be the personal tutor of Ezekiel Melwin." I think my hearing just stops working. I think Lonia just say that I'm gonna tutor Zeke? "Lonia, that's not a good joke, ok?"
I just stare at Lonia hoping that this is one of her corny jokes but she still looks so serious. I just sigh deeply, "Then why didn't Vaughn be the one to teach him? Why not you?"
"Vaughn is also busy tutoring the others and I can't because I'm busy with the incoming sports day. Kends I also don't want this to happen but the president insists that it should be you." She looks really worried about me and I just sigh. I know Lonia really done her best so I can't be mad at her. And it's not really her fault. I then again just sigh and smile at her, "Don't worry, it's ok. It's gonna be ok." I then pat her head and bid her goodbye. We can't be seen by anyone which will make others be suspicious of us.
I know things like this will be inevitable but can this come a little later?
