Hour after hour Diana is still roaming around the library and then turning to computers/the internet that might have in support information. While Ceil looks through children's book and animation guides tutorials but then she's on saving mode she prefers when there is illustration to follow instead.
"This is interesting," Ceil finds herself a little book containing only illustrations.
"Which one?" Diana set back beside Ceil.
"This little guy giving an apple to a deer," Ceil look curious at the illustration
" God, I thought you found out something," Diana sighs, looking at nothing interesting really.
" Hey, but look, it's good they make you think of a caption of what the characters were saying," Ceil convinces Diana's perception other than just a drawing.
"I get what you mean but I would love it if you help me a little out here," Diana moved to the next three rows then bent down the shelves at aisle 33 in hope it was just around somewhere.
Ceil seems not to hear Diana's response and continues to look for her favorite characters nearby the comics section.
Hours have passed them by, and people in the public library have already gone home. Only them and other few students as well the librarians are still there.
As Ceil calls Diana in her cramp tone." Aren't we going home yet Diana?"
"Just a little more time Ceil, then we are done for the night," Diana's blunt reply.
"For the night? So there's also tomorrow then?" Ceil quirky questioned her.
Diana didn't respond and just kept searching from books she felt have the answers.
" Alright, let's check out," Diana announced to Ceil while rearranging her books to borrow for the next two weeks.
"Finally—" Ceil excitedly gets up and stretches out her arms high.
" Isn't that so heavy to bring them home, all at once?" Ceil concern asked.
"No, it's alright you will walk with me half way later, won't you Ceil?" Diana wasn't worried instead, she knew Ceil was there to help her out.
" Yeah, in exchange give me cookies tomorrow." Ceil's cheeky request.
" Sure, not a problem." Diana's response that it wasn't new from Ceil's requests.
It's already past eight in the evening when Diana and Ceil waited for the bus's last trip, with the lesser people down on the street and pavements, there were beggars and homeless people that had nowhere to go.The Christmas season is already at the corner and it will be freezing outside the street. Diana is thinking of going to a charity organization that helps people like those living in the streets. Diana's has been spending with her family in charities and maybe she can find another so she can grow her perceptions not only of her parent's charity work every year. Meanwhile, Ceil saw a familiar face on one of the cars passing by and she thought it was Ms. Perrin. Before she can recollect of what she saw the bus came in front of them, getting on and paid their ride fees.
"Did you remember Ceil, the guy who we just bumped into after the history period?" Diana asks Ceil's recalling someone.
"Yes, but I wasn't paying attention though and I don't remember his face then. Why?" Ceil's thinking after that encounter earlier.
"It's just that he is one of Ms. Perrin's students at her literature class and also one of the members of her Modern Witch Club." Diana informs Ceil about who they bumped into.
"So?" Ceil's did not mind at all.
"Maybe you're kind of interested." Diana assumed Ceil would take an interest.
"Not that I am not interested, maybe time will tell when to bumped into Ms. Perrin again." Ceil not locking out the idea of what's if.
Ceil and Diana decide to jam on her iPod player throughout the trip. They have reached their bus stop station and steps out then, Ceil walks Diana near her home while hers just across the street.
"Well, we're here, thanks—!" Diana, sighs while saying goodbye to Ceil.
" Thanks? My cookies are on deals," Ceil demanded her request.
"Oh, right, right tomorrow it is." Diana smiles devilishly.
" Okay Bye." Ceil waving Diana a goodbye and Diana did the same.
Ceil went her way home across the street.
"Home at last." Recklessly falling behind her back over her bed.
"Soft and comfy," Snuggling onto her comforter and her plushies.
Ceil's mother came up to her bedroom and asked her to go down then help her to arrange the dining table. Dinner is anytime soon. Ceil looked at the clock. "That's weird, having dinner late, 15 minutes before 9 o'clock evening,"Ceil confusedly asked.
"Okay, Mom," Ceil said in an exhausted response.
Ceil came down from the stairs then she suddenly heard them celebrating congratulation. At the dinner table was her mom beside her sister and her father the head of the family. Ceil was confused and did not wait for her to seat down at least and celebrate with them. And yet she did not feel hurt rather, she was used to seeing the same scenery since her grade school.
Her sister was an honour student from preschool until she graduated Magna Cumlaude from New York university and at the same time, a scholar since university years, Bachelor of Medicine Major in Surgery.
"Janssel Lux, congratulations for passing the Medical licence Doctor in New York." Ceil's mother happily congratulated and kissed her sister Janssel on each cheeks.
"Ceil, there you are, come here and congratulate your sister," Her father's enthusiastic tone about her sister.
Janssel just smiled at her younger sister and apparently felt weird around her because rather than having a sister, she felt a brother instead. Who likes guys things like video games, anime and movies animations. Janssel couldn't understand Ceil, not even a bit.
Ceil congratulates her sister as usual as greetings.
Her parents chatted about how her sister Janssel was doing while in New York studying her medical degree. They also talked about what she would like after five years from now. Ceil had only been silently eating at her plate and not interested in anything about her sister's move to and activities she has been doing. Every time Ceil would come home, she felt she's on a dungeon and her recess time was to watch and drew illustrations from her imagination. She always felt alone whenever her parents were there and they couldn't even see her because she was too invisible for them. As she finished her dinner again, they hadn't noticed her going upstairs.
"As expected I like being alone, it was less lonely than having others and no one I could talk to," Ceil describes her feeling while doodling on the piece of paper.
Ceil noticed a different light coming from her window, when she looked out, there was Diana flashing light onto her bedroom and gesturing her index finger to look up. Ceil stuck her head out from her window and saw a full moon brightly above them that made the lamp street pole cast a shadow.
"Moonlight, how pretty you are," Ceil sighs, completely forgetting her lonesome.
Ceil turned her music up and played in the background 'Fly Me To The Moon' sung by Frank Sinatra.
