Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

«The girl stopped her march when she passed by the window of a toy store, completely forgetting that she was lost and that she had to look for her parents.

She leaned a little closer when he stood next to a boy a little older than her.

"What nice toys, right?" He told the young man, looking away from the window to see her.

He turned and looked at her with heavenly eyes she had never seen.

"They are cute, yes," he replied with a smile.

She watched the flashes of light streaming through the window, revealing that it was finally dawn. The young woman only sighed and shuddered at the idea that today would be her first day at university, she was not prepared for what that implied and although her mother told her it was an exaggeration, she knew perfectly well the anxiety attacks she had.

She reached out her trembling arm and grabbed the cell phone trying not to drop it, turned it on and the time recorded on the device almost caused a severe mental collapse.

"It's 07:00 a.m.!"

She jumped out of bed and ran to her closet in search of anything that could be used for dressing, at this point even a loincloth would do. She pulled off her nightgown and clumsily slipped on a white blouse and baggy black pants. Instead, she worried because she couldn't remember what else she would have to wear.

Let's see, I have the blouse and the pants ...

Sneakers! How the hell have I forgotten about that?

She put on some black slippers she found under the bed and ran quickly to the bathroom. Five minutes later, after doing what was necessary, she came out of the bathroom ready.

She grabbed her backpack and a blue jean jacket. Without thinking about what else she would need, she ran to the dining room where her mother was.

-Dear. Good Morning. What are you still doing here? I thought you had already been to college, "he murmured.

-I. Hi. Yes, I know, but I didn't wake up late and I don't know if I'll be on time.

His mother opened her mouth in surprise. Her daughter was usually ready long before the alarm went off.

"You can take the car, I don't have a job today and I think it will be more convenient if you go in it," he offered with a smile.

"Really?" Her mother nodded and almost jumped with happiness. "Thanks thanks." I love you mommy.

He kissed her cheek again and left the house with much more optimism, closing the door behind him and walking toward the car that was already parked outside the garage.

When he got up he was soon trying to turn it on and go fast to college. He tried to breathe calmly so as not to cause a nervous breakdown and his heart began to race causing horrendous chest pains.

The truth is that Mia had a recent diagnosis of pericarditis and although the disease itself was not so dangerous, her late encounter had caused the level of the disease to be acute; possibly, and without the medications, you would be on the verge of a severe heart attack. Although on the Internet pages she visited they liked to say that there were few cases of deaths from pericarditis - although in this case it was acute - the doctors themselves had realized how short her life would be.

She had never been afraid of death, because before the diagnosis she did not stop to think when and how it would happen. However, now she knew, not exactly when, but how, and that frightened her considerably. Regardless, she did not allow herself to think about death, and if she did, she only tried to postpone her thoughts until the weekends, which were the days when her head was commonly flooded with thoughts related to her untimely death.

He sighed and began to count; half past ten. She needed to calm her nerves that were doing her system no good.

After a few minutes she was already off the campus of the institution, she parked her car and left in a hurry. It didn't take long for her to realize that there was practically no one outside, and although what happened next is pretty obvious, since Mia's nerves were nothing new, she almost suffered a panic attack.

...

After running around as if his own soul depended on it, he was already on the threshold of what would be his first class in business administration and communications. She knocked on the door three times and felt uncomfortable, three was an odd number and she had never liked that kind of number, but she refrained from knocking for the fourth time.

The door opened slowly, like in those horror movies where once you walk in you are faced with the worst thing you could have seen in your life, the point was that the worst thing Mia could have seen on her first day of college was all of her . classmates and teacher. looking at her like she was a carnival mouse.

"Good afternoon Miss ..."

"Tucker, Mia Tucker," she replied trying to sound firm.

"Well Miss Tucker, I think I should inform you that classes start at 7:30 am. I don't allow my students to be late, but just because it's the first day I'll let it pass, now come in and no. Don't keep interrupting my class." . Mia's eyes widened and she murmured like ten thanks to the teacher. "I hope this is the last time"

"Yes, yes, I assure you it will not be repeated, teacher."
