The time runs fast and the five days journey to their home has ended. Bal could now see the huge island which is filled with tall and vast trees. She could feel her body's vibration just by looking at those sceneries. Bal was beyond excited and extremely nervous at the same time. She was having the thought of, what if Kaylon's people don't like her?
What if Kaylon's people will make him realize that she was not worthy of him. She was afraid of rejection now that she learned what it means when she accidentally opened a book that was about a mate's rejection. And it gave her the thought of trying to stop the time from turning. She was also wondering how the days and time flew so quickly, that she was still wondering why it has to be her responsibility to serve others; when Kaylon is enough for her.
While on their way back, Monta and Kaylon taught her everything that she could possibly learn and absorb. And to her surprise, she was able to properly learn all of it; except for not stuttering when talking. She finds it hard to do and she couldn't even understand why. She thought days ago that reading is so hard and she was terrible at it. But now, thinking about what humans really like, it made her realize that being one of them is completely difficult. She already knew now that she was one of them, and she was completely stunned until now by how ambitious she was to even try to understand them.
"Love, are you okay?" Bal was undeniably absorbed with her thoughts that she didn't notice Kaylon was talking to her.
"H-huh?" Her eyes were blank while looking at her mate's expressive eyes. 'What if you find me disgusting later on? Will you send me back to Secluded Island and lock me up in that hell dungeon until I get rotten; like that meat, I used to fill my stomach?' Bal slowly lifted her hand and slowly caressed Kaylon's little scar on the face. "Wi-will y-you s-tay l-like this f-for-e-ever?" She could see confusion in Kaylon's eyes after she voiced her thoughts.
"Of course, I will! What's going on with this gorgeous mind of yours, Love?" Kaylon asked and started planting kisses on her forehead. And before she could even realize it, she had already forgotten about her worries. Feeling the huge, hard, and warm arms around her waist made her succumb to the peace which she always wanted whenever Kaylon was within her grasp. She subconsciously closed her eyes and just listened to her man's heartbeat.
"Pardon me, Alpha and Luna. But I just wanted to report that we will be on the dock in two minutes or three." The man lowered his head and made his way back to the rest of the men.
"Love, give me a moment, okay? I'll meet our people first. Probably they were waiting for us to finally return. After all, they are notified beforehand, especially about your arrival; our Luna." Just by listening to what Kaylon said, Bal couldn't help but sucked her breath. When she let go of Kaylon's hand, her troubled heart beating was now making her lose the ability to think clearer. She followed Kaylon from behind until they reached the main control of the ship. It's when she stopped walking and stood meters away from the railings.
"I'm glad that you finally joined me here, Dear Luna Bal," Monta greeted her and patted her right hand. But when she noticed something from afar, she couldn't help but tug on Monta's sleeve.
"What is it, Luna?" Monta faced her and touched her forehead; like what she always does. Treating her like she needs to be tended to all the time.
"Are you hurt? Let me examine you. You're uneasy? I-i'll call the Alpha." When Monta started talking. It's gonna be a bit difficult to talk to her. So she had no choice but to drag her and point at the front side of the island where they were about to dock in a minute.
So Monta quickly got the binoculars and checked where she was pointing at.
"W-wolf pe-people," she said, pointing in the same direction again.
"Yo-you can see them?" Monta absentmindedly asked. But she profusely shook her head, absolutely saying no.
"S-smell." Bal poked her own nose.
"B-but that was still meters away . . . I couldn't even see them with my naked eyes," said Monta, feeling bewildered. "What is your nose made of?" This time, Balvina chuckled, which made Monta awkwardly laugh too.
"N-not no-rmal?" Bal said, poking her nose again shyly.
"No! Definitely not, dear Luna. That only means you are amazing and exceptional. And know that there's a woman who is completely envious of you; Monta is her name." Monta wiggled her brows and began fixing Bal's hair and dress.
"Let down the anchor!" Her and Monta's attention were quickly taken when they heard the man's words.
"Alpha Kaylon! Warriors! They're finally here!"
"The Alpha never changes. He's still as mighty as before!"
"Long live alpha Kaylon! Long live the king of Dominant island!" She couldn't help but hide in Monta's back when she heard all those voices. They were approximately twenty-five meters away from the shore but she could clearly hear their voices like she was standing in front of them.
"Prepare yourself, Dear Luna. You will finally meet your people. Don't be nervous. They are expecting you to come home. Let's get going. The Alpha is waiting too." She's supposed to be calm and collected. This is the moment where she had been preparing for the last five days. But Monta's words didn't even coax her this time. She didn't feel good. She was looking for Kaylon and was anxious about his presence. But when she saw him, she was speechless. Bal could clearly see that Kaylon was being intimate with another girl. The girl's arms were tightly wrapped around Kaylon's waist. She might not see her mate's reaction, but she could see the girl's blissful smile. 'I thought Kaylon would only do that to me?' Her steps halted when she saw how Kaylon patted the girl's head; like he always does to her. Suddenly she could feel the sudden pain in her chest. The feeling is suffocating. Her throat feels burning. All she wants is to scream in pain. These feelings were new to her.
"Luna? You're even paler. A-are you okay?" Monta subconsciously looks in the direction where Bal was staring when she finds her acting weird and dispirited.
"Oh. That girl? That's Amonette. Our former Luna's younger sister. I think she was your age now, Luna Bal. She was only fifteen when we sailed away. And it's been five years. Time flies so fast. She had grown to be a beautiful girl like her big sister." Bal didn't care much about what Monta was saying. Her whole attention was on the two. Her heart is still continuously beating rapidly while they are getting nearer to the two figures who were embracing each other.
"Luna Bal!" She didn't know what happened. But all she wanted to do is take away the pain in her chest. Seeing her mate kiss another girl's forehead really made her lose the little sanity that she's been holding on to.
"Balvina!" She could hear Kaylon calling her name. But she no longer cares.
"W-why? I-it hurts . . ." She painfully cried while speeding her way into the woods. She can no longer hold her feelings and began hissing violently. She even wants to tear her chest up and took away the part where she could feel the unbearable pain.
