"Father, what's going on around the estate'', asked Basaul, walking into the forge. "Everyone seems to be so on edge.''
"Do not meddle in the affairs of adults my son, return to your studies'', said Mr. Tamakichi.
"B-but'', Basaul pauses, "I wanted to see if you began working on their gear'', questioned Basal.
"No, not yet child'', he answered, shooing him away.
"Father'', Basal shouts, "please allow me to assist you in creating their equipment."
Mr. Tamakichi looks up from his work, "since when did you care to work with your old man?''
"I need to be as great as you in the forge father", said Basal. "What better way to enhance my skill than to be in the shop with you.
Mr. Takamichi laughs, "Bwhahaha, so you have some resolve now. I'll teach you but you'll have to listen to my instructions exactly no matter the situation.''
(Doza's Pov)
"Damn Ken'', thought Doza as he helped prepare the estate. "That was the last thing I expected you to do. Even your father hadn't awoken his until he was well past your age.
"I could've used you as back up. Not like I needed it, but it would have made for some good training'', Doza chuckled. "Just about done with the defenses, I'll go check on Kenos'', he thought walking through the property.
*fwhip*
A volley of fire arrows land on the premises.
Doza's body tenses up at the sound of it, "it's started", he whispers running to the courtyard.
Doza runs out to a party of about 20 people, "I don't suppose you guys are here to buy some equipment'', he shouts, as the servants rush to put out the spreading fire.
"Where is the blacksmith Yadren Tamakichi'', responded a serious-looking man in the middle of the crowd. Doza's eyes lock on his, "he looks like someone in charge". "The old man doesn't want anything to do with you bozo's get off his land.''
"I'm afraid my boss won't take that answer anymore'', said the man. "Either create weapons for the Ratari gang or lay down your lives.''
Doza takes in his surroundings calming himself with a deep breath, "I need to break their formation.''
"I like option three.''
The man pauses in confusion, "what are you babbling',
"Die," said Doza coldly. "Lightning flicker'', he shouts, tossing his dagger through two opponents.
"He's a zen user some of the men shout.''
Doza emerging from the tail of the lightning trail grabs the blade from the second victim, before quickly slicing a third person's throat. The company of men now in full panic jump on the chance to land a hit on Doza.
Doza bobs and weaves his way through a majority of their attacks, "I need to draw them away from the estate, I won't let them get the chance to hurt Kenos or destroy the building.''
Doza begins to shift from an aggressive fighting style to a defensive one drawing his opponents away from the blacksmith's estate.
"Some of them are missing'', thought Doza as he led the attackers through the forest
"Fuck they might've realized what I was trying to do. Sorry, old man looks like you may have to get your hands dirty after all. 10 left'', thought Doza coming to an opening in the forest preparing his stance. "I'll make sure to leave someone to answer questions,'' he laughed.
(Back at the Tamakichi estate)
"That bastard'', said Gris, one of the thugs tasked with assaulting the estate. "Did he actually think we wouldn't notice him leading us away from the estate?"
"Too bad he's not the target he would've made a good opponent", said Raffa another one of the Ratari thugs. "Vari, shoot some more fire arrows into the building, let them know their savior failed.''
"Will do sir'', replied Vari, lining his shot.
(Inside the forge)
Mr. Takamichi's body tenses as he realizes three new aura's return to his property. "Basal'', he calls sternly. "Go with the servants and return to Kenoses' chambers at once.''
"Where are you going dad?'' Said Basual. "My child, I'm going to protect us, I'll make sure of it.''
Mr. Tamakichi walks into the garden saddened by the destruction that's taken place.
"My home'', he whispers as ash falls from the sky. "Raffa you and the Ratari gang continue to prove yourselves unworthy to wield a weapon made by me. Weapons are not made to destroy'', he cried.
"Hah'', Raffa laughed, "weapons are for showing power and we of the Ratari gang want to be the strongest.''
Mr. Tamakichi begins laughing, "Bwhahaha, that's the problem with you people. You lot want power but don't have the slightest clue on where real strength comes from.
"Master Tozen was right, you are weak and your beliefs will lead you to your death,'' said Raffa.
Mr. Tamakichi's body jolted at the sound of that name. "How do you know that name Tozen disappeared early into the war .''
"well, I can guarantee he's still alive and kicking. Unlike you, he understands the will of the Ratari'', Raffa exclaimed.
Mr. Tamakichi laughs, "that roach of course he sides with you trash who abuse their power. But no matter, I will show you what it truly means to wield power'', yelled Mr.Tamakichi clenching his fist. "Fire Kyushu'', shouted the old man, absorbing all the nearby flames in the area. The ground trembling at the sheer power oozing from the blacksmith. Raffa along with the two others with him began to freeze up due to the change of atmosphere. They no longer saw a mere blacksmith, but instead a monster yearning to be released into the world. The compilation of flames conjoined into a huge sphere of fire, "Kojin's Volley'', yelled Mr. Tamakichi. Dropping the gigantic orb of fire onto his opponents. The screams of the gang members and the smell of burnt flesh filled the air.
(Kenoses' room)
*Boom*
Kenos wake's up to the loud noise, his eyes still sore and irritated. "Ughhh'', he groans, "why's it so bright in here.''
"Kenos!'' Basal shouts from his chair, "thank goodness you woke up. The Ratari gang attacked and my father is defending us against them,'' he cried.
"We're under attack,'' shouted Kenos, jumping out of bed. Catching himself before collapsing to the ground. Basal helps Kenos off the ground, "Wh- where's Doza'', mutters Kenos between his breaths.
"He must be protecting us like my father,'' answered Basaul with a worried expression on his face. "Where are you going Ken?'' he screamed. "Father said to stay hidden and let him and the servants protect us.''
"I gotta go help Doza,'' Kenos responds. "He's all I have left. I can't let him fight them without me, especially now I won't be a burden to him any longer.''
Basaul has a moment of revelation as he witnesses Kenoses' resolve to protect Doza. "Even against people like the Ratari he Doesn't wavier,'' thought Basaul.
"Wait,'' he yells as Kenos reaches the door. "If you really want to help I think I can help."
"See, now you're saying something I want to hear,'' Kenos chuckles.
"Master Basaul,'' called the servant as they opened the door. "Please stay in the room, we must defend you and the guest from the attackers.''
"I don't need any protection,'' yelled Kenos trying to push his way through.
"Well I guess we're not getting out that way,'' said Basaul watching them throw Kenos back in.
Kenos picks himself up from the ground and scours the room, "that way come on,'' said Kenos, grabbing Basaul's arm, dragging him to the window.
"Kenos, where on the second floor what are you thinking," cried Basaul.
"For someone who wouldn't call themself a wuss you sure cry a lot,'' laughed Kenos. "Will be just fine,'' he grins hopping out.
The two of them land on some bushes cushioning the fall. "Ouch,'' Basual shouts.
"You're alive aren't yah,'' Kenos laughed. "Where did you want to take me?''
Basaul looked to see the only place he knew as home tarnished by fire, saddening him. "This way Kenos,'' said Basaul in a hushed tone.
"Don't worry man me, Doza and your pops will show these guys that they messed with the wrong people,'' said Kenos trying to reassure his friend. "And then this place will go back to looking how it always does.''
"Yeah you're right'', said Basaul leading the way.
"Here we are,'' Basaul announced, "the forge.''
(the grasslands/ Doza's pov)
"I may consider letting you 3 bozo's go if you answer some questions,'' Doza taunts.
"We of the Ratari gang won't be intimidated by the likes of you spark plug,'' said one of the thugs.
Doza sprints towards his opponents, "you're just making it worse for yourselves. Isaunari,'' he shouts as lightning accumulates around his rugged blade. "Even with this dull blade I should be able to still pierce anything,'' he thought. "I just have to go faster.''
Doza dashes left to right gaining more speed with each change of direction. One of the thugs' steps in front of the other attempting to block the blow from Doza's blade with the flat side of his huge sword.
