*snap*
Doza pierces through the thick sword leaving his arm stuck in his opponent's chest.
"You bastard!'' yelled the thug who was saved by his comrade, raising his pistol to Doza head.
"A void arm'', Doza gasps, grabbing his opponent's hand and quickly pushing the pistol to his side.
*Bang*
"High-intensity shots huh. I'll let him wear himself out.'' Doza kicks him back and runs around his opponent avoiding his shots.
"Don't run from it now,'' yelled the Ratari thug firing at Doza.
Doza shifts his eyes on the third thug who was being careful to stay behind the others.
"He looks exploitable,'' thought Doza with a sinister expression.
With a quick spin, Doza throws his blade at the shooter.
"Nice try,'' the thug laughed, shooting it out the air. "Wait where is he?
"Rakurai's kick, screamed Doza cutting through the air appearing between both opponents, and dropping the heel of his foot on the shooter's crown crushing his skull. Then quickly turning and frying the other with static discharge. Making sure only to damage him enough to leave him immobilized.
Doza squats above the paralyzed thug, "O Nah you're not allowed to sleep yet,'' said Doza slapping him awake. "You're going to answer a couple of questions for me.''
"Fuck you,'' the thug muttered. "I won't say shit.''
Doza cracks a smile, "suit yourself,'' he says before raising his blade. Doza drives his blade into the thigh of his opponent, Wiggling it around. "Ahhhhhh!'' The thug screams on the ground.
"Tell me who's in charge,'' Doza demanded.
"Die you demon,'' the thug snarls.
Welp that's one limb gone, said Doza coldly. "You willing to wager another?''
(Back at the Takamichi estate)
"Kojins Volley!!!'' Yelled Mr. Takamichi initiating his attack.
Raffa grits his teeth looking at the huge sphere of fire in the sky. "A dual cast, the old man's got some tricks hidden after all.'' Raffa looks over to both of his subordinates and can see the horror in their faces. "Damn there's no time, stone wall,'' shouts Raffa, creating a thick wall of stone to defend against the attack. Raffa picks himself up from the stone wall he created and notices instantly that Gris, one of the subordinates who arrived with Raffa, wasn't completely under the cover.
"Fuck", said Raffa in between breaths, "I couldn't put down my guard fast enough, Gris fall back and treat your burns. "Vari, I'm gonna drop the wall, get your arrows ready. Stone rush!, the stone wall crumbles into a collection of boulders, shooting toward Mr. Takamichi. Vari jumps from boulder to boulder in the air, quickly grabbing three arrows from his quiver and drawing it. "Wait for the perfect moment", he whispers lining his shot. Mr. Takamichi, way past his golden years manages to dodge a number of incoming boulders before drawing the gigantic void arm strapped to his back.
*boow*boow*boow*
Mr. Takamichi shoots a couple of high-powered shots with ease destroying the remaining boulders or so he thought.
"I'll finish the weak link first,'' thought Mr. Takamichi as the smoke cleared. Mr. Takamichi's eyes lock on to Gris and he explodes towards his enemy.
Vari who was looking from the floating boulders above sees this as a moment to attack and releases his three arrow shot.
*fhwhip*
Two of his arrows hit on the old man. He winces for a moment but Raffa wouldn't allow him to relax, sending more boulders his way. Jumping back, Mr. Takamichi reloads the void cell powering the weapon. "I thought I modified this to be more efficient, the consumption of Zen in each cell is still too great I'll have to work on this thing again when I get the chance,'' thought the old man.
Mr.Takamichi continues his attack dodging and weaving all their attempts to hinder him. Getting hit every so often but enduring. Carefully shooting his opponent's back making sure not to cause obsessive damage to his property.
(back in the forge)
"So what's in here that can help me,'' asked Kenos.
Basaul runs to the end of the room. "Father and I were working on it all morning,'' said Basaul with a wide smile. "It could probably use some fine-tuning, but it should be manageable. We call it the Leviathan bow,'' said Basual unveiling his masterpiece.
"The leviathan bow,'' Kenos repeated, admiring his new weapon. A recurve bow with a leviathan scale attached to its limb fastened on like a blade.
"What an odd bow'' thought Kenos as he imagined it in use.
Basaul stared bashfully at what he and his father created, "The Leviathan scale on its limb is strong enough to parry the greatest swords and can even conduct electricity. Father suggested it would be a good thing to add.''
"Thank you Basaul,'' said Kenos, "with this I'll be able to protect everything I cherish, let's go.''
"I think I'll stay in the forge'' said Basaul, anxiously.
"Look what you just made, you telling me you don't want to see this in action'', replied Kenos.
"You should just leave me here, I'd only get in the way,'' said Basaul.
Are you gonna be a wuss all your life?'', Kenos taunted.
Basaul stares at Kenos and begins thinking, "He's right, I wanna help no, I must do all I can to protect my home even if I'm scared out my mind.''
"You'd be plenty useful Basaul", said Kenos. You may not be able to see but these eyes can see it all."
Basaul wipes the tears off his face okay let's do this Kenos.
Kenos grabs an abundance of arrows and fills his quiver before motioning toward the exit. Abruptly stopping at the door Kenos notices a section in the room titled "Experimental weapons". "Basal let's use one of these weapons, no one would expect it not even your father. Imagine how surprised he'd be to see you save the day with it."
Basal stares at the cannon-like Void arm, "Father warned me not to toy with any of the weapons in that section, but this is different because now more than ever I feel the will to protect all that I love.
The two climb to the top of the roof, "you know how to shoot this thing right? Questioned Kenos.''
"Leave it to me,'' replied Basaul, passing the gigantic void arm to Kenos.
Kenos perch's the gigantic void arm on to the roof's point as Basal reaches the top, "Look, it's your old man,'' said Kenos, pointing to the garden.
"Father'', cried Basaul. "But why does he look so worn out,''
Kenos shakes his head, "focus we're the only ones who can help him. I can aim it but your the one who actually knows how to fire this thing.
"Okay,'' Basaul answers back. "If there are things my eyes cant show me then ill look through yours instead".
Mr. Takamichi continues moving on the defense's side avoiding the onslaught of boulders and arrows. Continuously shooting down boulders the archer was using as vantage points, Mr. Takamichi uses up another void cell. Kenos can sense bloodlust emanating from the old man's enemies. Mr. Takamichi attempts to reload his weapon, Kenos sees Raffa and Vari attempting to go for the kill.
"NOWWW!'', shouted Kenos at the top of his lungs.
Basaul pulls the trigger releasing an enormous shell of Zen. The recoil of the void arm knocking both boys back.
The smoke clears and Mr. Takamichi looks in confusion as to what happened. He begins to channel his zen attempting to analyze the situation. "Hmph, it appears Kenos has woken up, and he's influenced my little Basaul to fight.''
The smoke clears more and Mr. Takamichi sees Raffa enraged behind a thick wall of stone, as well as Gris's body completely burned lying in front of the stone structure. "How noble for a band of thugs. being a liability he chose to sacrifice himself so you wouldn't feel the full force of the attack, but you weren't left completely unscathed were you",
Raffa attempts to pull off of the stone wall he created, falling on one knee. Mr. Takamichi smiles, "of course nobody should be able to take a shot of that caliber completely unscathed. Kenos,'' shouted Mr. Takamichi, "If that weapon is out of the forge I assume you've found your own? Would you be so kind as to help me defend my home against these ants?''
Kenos looks to Basaul, "you did your part, leave the rest to us.''
Tying a knot on his arrow and on to the building Kenos shoots an arrow across the garden and ziplines towards Mr. Takamichi.
"Alright boy, I hope you fight as well as the other one, I won't be able to look over to make sure you're alive.''
Kenos looks into Mr. Takamichi's eyes and puts his thumb to his chest "Doza wishes he could hold a candle towards me.''
"Bwahaha,'' Mr. Takamichi laughs, "it's good that you believe that child, however right now isn't the time to be overconfident.''
"What exactly do you mean by that old man,'' Kenos retorts.
Raffa, having finally caught his breath sees this moment of bickering as a chance to attack, swiftly motioning his left wrist up he conjures a stone pillar poised to pierce Mr. Takamichi's heart. Quickly stepping to the side, Mr. Takamichi drives his fist through the pillar breaking it. "Kenos, will you handle the archer for me? I'll take care of this fool.''
Kenos wipes his nose, "hah, like you even had to ask.''
Vari taking offense to Kenoses' cockiness draws his bow. "I have no qualms killing a child who gets in my way,'' said Vari letting his arrow fly in the direction of Kenoses' head. Kenos tilts his head avoiding the arrow "that's on you if you decide to take me lightly. I've already come to terms with what this world will take from me" Kenos takes an arrow out of his quiver and draws it, "I'll be fine old man, I'll demonstrate why I'm worthy of this bow.''
Kenos and Vari stare at each other from amongst the rubble.
*Fwhip*
Kenos shoots the arrow.
"Fucking brat,'' yelled Vari jumping onto the rooftop. Kenos follows behind jumping on the debris parkouring his way to the top. "For your sake, I'll end this quick,'' yelled Vari as he began sprinting on the rooftop shooting arrow after arrow. Kenos, ducks, weaves and spins avoiding the onslaught of arrows. He even managed to deflect a couple of arrows with the bladed limb of his bow. "This bow really is something else'', thought Kenos. "The draw strength alone is a big step from my last, and the leviathan scale limb adds a bit of weight to it as well. Although the durability it adds allows me to defend myself and attack close range. This is a pretty impressive weapon Basaul, And the old man deserves a proper thanks.''
Gaining some ground on the rooftop Kenos begins retaliating with his arrows, attempting to close space between each shot. The two archers run and jump around shooting and avoiding each other's shots. "I'm not getting anywhere fighting like this,'' thought Kenos rolling on the roof trying to recover himself. Grabbing two arrows from his quiver, he draws them towards Vari.
*Fwhip*
Kenos let one of the two arrows go, causing Vari to flinch and jump. Kenos smiles, "Got em''. Posing his bow at his opponent, he lets the second arrow fly. Hitting Vari straight through his shoulder, "Ahhh,'' yelled Vari hitting the ground.
