Surprisingly enough—well, not that surprising if you were to really think about it, mom didn't bad mouth about the Taiyi sect later on. Instead, she was seen praising them before father, which was nice, I guess.
Anyhow, nightfall came earlier than expected. I guess my excitement to sneak into the Taiyi sect paid off by not letting me know about the flow of time. I legit don't know why I'm this excited. I mean, it's not a picnic or something. What I'm gonna do is scary as heck and if I'm caught in the midst of it, I'm as good as dead. I can place my trust on Goldy to save me, but even a bit of miscommunication will screw me.
"I'm not gonna screw up!" Goldy argued. It seems like he's been able to gaze into my monologue much more frequently now. Or maybe it's because a lot of time passed.
I sighed. Goldy seemed to have taken my words in the wrong sense. "I know you won't. I was thinking about myself. If I screw it up, it still does the same thing, right?" I asked.
