Sakura's eyes widened in surprise, yet maintained her poise with the unexpected intimacy he was exhibiting. Haru then lowered his eyes at her before burying his face on her damp pink hair, finally smelling the saccharine scent which was too inviting, but also calming at the same time.
She stood still, but immediately pushed the intoxicated man to her side when the lift stopped at the third floor. A toddler in her four giddily entered the elevator with her parents, and she smiled brightly at them. Catching herself staring at the family as she was reminded of her early childhood, she quickly pulled herself together and looked up to Haru instead, who was already resting his head against the steel wall with his eyes closed.
Shortly after, the family exited the lift on the 5th floor, and they waited until reaching the last storey of the building. Sakura held Haru by the arm and gently pulled him along the hallway.
"Haru, please tell me if you're gonna pass out soon, okay?" Sakura scrambled for her keys inside her bag whilst holding his arm with her free hand.
He leaned closer to whisper in her ear but didn't even bother to lower his voice, "I told you… you… you don't have to be nervous."
When Haru backed away, he almost tripped himself over, but Sakura swiftly tugged him close and wrapped her arm around his waist to secure his balance. "It would be better if you pass out because you're already talking gibberish," she said under her breath while guiding his arm to her shoulder.
He scanned the hallways, not really paying attention to what she just said, "Oh... we're here..."
"Hai, hai and please, you have to change your top before sleeping," she glanced at him before unlocking the main door. She turned on the lights and led him inside while the man still clung to her.
"I didn't know you wanted to see my body," Haru snickered as he fooled around, drifting his gaze around the semi-furnished space. He was ecstatic to see the couch, which was obviously not there on his first visit.
"They only said you're going to pass out. How come they didn't tell me you get this mischievous? Mm?" she cocked a brow and let out a chuckle afterwards.
Sakura assisted him to the sofa, and Haru tumbled on it with a silly smile on his face. He eventually leaned his back against the seat wondering why he was suddenly feeling warm the minute they entered her apartment.
She put her handbag down beside him and poked his shoulder, "Don't fall as- WAIT A SEC!!"
Sakura bent over and unintentionally rested her hands on Haru's firm pectorals as she tried to stop him from removing his shirt. "What the hell are you doing?!" She actually tried to tone down her voice, but she failed to do so. Yes, she needed him to change his clothes before he sleeps, but she wasn't expecting him to take off his shirt without prior notice.
Haru's forehead creased, confused as to why Sakura was raising her voice at him. He was definitely feeling hot and was ready to doze off especially when drowsiness was already kicking in. However, it seemed like she was getting mad at him for no apparent reason. "What's wrong…? Why are you… getting angry?"
She wasn't angry; she just got too surprised with the rapid changes in his mood and behavior. But of course, it's all because of the alcohol. She had prepared herself and was actually waiting for him to fall unconscious, but she couldn't believe that he was still awake.
Luckily enough for her, Haru hasn't shown any extreme behaviors yet. She wouldn't deny that she got stunned by his actions in the elevator and came to a realization that she shouldn't be shocked when he suddenly took his shirt off in front of her. Sakura, regaining her composure, heaved a deep breath and decided to just go with the flow until he loses his consciousness.
Haru, on the other hand, was staring at the pink haired lady who was clearly lost in her thoughts. "You really wanted to see my body, didn't you?" he fooled around once more before tousling his damp hair. He continued, "Silence means-"
"Yes! So take off your top now and go to sleep!" she beamed as she played along with him.
The man tilted his head in confusion. 'That's what I was doing.... Why was she getting mad at me then?' he pondered until his head throbbed from thinking too much.
The instant he closed his eyes, Sakura dashed to her bedroom and searched inside her dresser, hoping that he would remove his shirt, change into a new one, and go to dreamland. She then got startled when the slightly opened door swung fully open.
"You startled me!" she yelped, glancing at Haru who just passed through the door. Her brows rose when he took off his top, exposing his bare back, long torso, and broad shoulders. "Wait up! I still haven't found the shirt you lent me before!"
"No need," he dropped his shirt on the floor. "Oh," he flicked a glance at her as he staggered towards the bed placed on the corner of the room, "Not so sure... what else they told you, but... in case they haven't…. I sleep naked..."
Sakura's cheeks turned scarlet red with his declaration. There's no way a naked man would sleep on her bed! She turned to her closet once again and hastily continued with her search. "Where is it? Where is it? It's supposed to be here, but where is it?' she kept repeating these questions inside her head.
She glanced over her shoulder to check on him, but saw Haru starting to unbuckle his belt while he stood at the edge of the bed palette. Finally finding his top, she pulled it and rushed towards him, "Stop! Don't remove your pants- aahhhh!"
Sakura wasn't drunk, but her motor skills seemed to not work properly that night. She lost her footing and bumped Haru, causing the both of them to fall over the bed and her hands falling right on the trunk of his body. He blinked his eyes slowly and fixed his gaze at the lady with his half-lidded eyes, and as he laid flat on his back, his insides were becoming even warmer whilst feeling her hands and body on top of his.
She propped an arm on the bed, "What are you staring at? Wear this already and go to sleep," and waved his shirt with her other hand in front of his face.
Haru seized hold of Sakura's hand and craned his neck to the side to get a better view of her, "Am I making you nervous right now?"
