Chapter 8 - In Pieces

Henry was standing in the middle of a desert, looking at the sky with interest. In the sky, a private jet was flying low and leisurely and in it were four men and twelve girls, excluding the two pilots and the hostess, who were having the time of their lives. On the table was spread a white powder and rolled up hundred dollar bills and an ATM card. One of the men was going at it with one of the girls while the rest were contented with just touching.

"Bunch of uncivilised, low bred ingrates," Henry cursed. Just then, an air fighter flew towards the plane and Henry could hear the pilot flagging down the plane. The pilot quickly got out of the cockpit and told the passengers about what was going on outside.

"This is what you get for flying so low in a Dictatorship country. But, it is also good news for me, I get to finish my work quickly," Henry said and took to the sky. The fighter started arming itself once it noticed the plane was not responding. Before it could fire any rockets at the plane, the pilot suddenly saw someone land onto the left wing. He was so shocked he forgot he was on the crash course to the plane until the alarms warned him. Henry smirked at him before punching through the hatch and ripping it off, making the plane start plumetting but he was not shaken off.

"It really is Russian technology," Henry said once he took a good look inside. The pilot was so scared he was screaming out his lungs. With practised and fluid motions, his hand went for the eject lever and the chair disengaged itself from the plane but Henry got hold of it before it was far away. He brought the shitting pilot closer to himself as his eyes started glowing red.

"Where's your base?" he asked, menacingly. The pilot pointed then fainted. Henry threw him towards the ground the got hold of the plane and started flying, dragging it towards the sky. He looked at the plane that was still leisurely flying and frowned. Lasers shot out of his eyes, cutting the plane's wings off. With a satisfied nod, he started flying, slowly, towards the base he had locked on with his eyesight. An hour in, he finally arrived at the place and found soldiers aiming all their guns at him.

"Wowsers, you guys sure are fast. But, it would not be fun if all of you were not expecting me. I wanted to do this quietly but I guess I have to go big and go home," Henry said.

"FIRE!" one of them shouted.

All types of ammunitions were loaded onto him ceaselessly; from bullets to RPG rockets, tanker rockets, helicopter missiles and much more. None of them stopped till everything they had on them was over. One of them shouted a ceasefire. The smoke cleared away slowly and with it came dread! Henry was still fine and dandy, even his clothes were fine. He inspected himself with a smirk.

"I am impressed, the clothes they made me could last against all that without a thread out of place! I guess they can be impressive sometimes. Now, about your punishment!" he said then threw the plane in his hand towards a tank that exploded as soon as it hit. "I guess your performance need an applaud." Henry brought his plans together in a clapping motion and with every clap he brought forth devastations that was very terrifying! Military vehicles were been ripped apart, soldiers exploding and the ground cracking faster and faster till all that was left was a wreckage that seemed like a third world war just happened there, the buildings were not spared too! Henry looked around to see if anyone was alive and hiding in the rubble but all he could see were blood smears and chunks of body parts. He turned his eyes towards a metal hatch under the rubble of a building and smiled.

"Just like the movies," he said as he landed in front of the rubble, took a deep breath in then blew hard. The rubble was eroded away as if they were hit by compressed air at terrifying speeds and the hatch was not spared either. Henry took a breath in and smiled. "Easy as...breaking a tank, I guess." He got into the secret bunker by floating down till he touched a metal floor. He used his see through vision and saw thirty men inside what would seem like a fallout shelter only more enhanced. They were standing behind a huge computer like machine and were smiling.

"Why do those bastards look so smug?" he asked himself. Suddenly, the floor and walls came alive with cackling of electricity. He looked around in surprise and fascination. "Ah, the proverbio trap. Never fell into one so willing before."

He did not feel anything wrong though he knew the voltage they are using was scarily high. He smiled at the men and started walking towards them.

"What the hell? We are hitting him with half the Station's annual produced voltage! Anymore and we will have a disaster here. How is he still walking calmly?" one of them exclaimed in fear.

"That was the best you can do? That's disappointing," Henry said then lasers shot out of his eyes, decimating every wall they came across. The men did not have time to react before they started being electrocuted to nothing but brittle bones, all except one who even though was showing effects of being electrocuted, he was holding his own quite surprisingly.

"There you are, Farah. You have been targeted for reformation for crimes against humanity. Surrender now or your end will be in pieces," Henry shouted at him. Farah looked at him hatefully before struggling to get up. "That is impressive, your mutation must give you quite the impressive durability. But, while you can hardly move, I have the strength to rip our a mountain. Some battles are just plain stupidity to fight so give up."

"Your country killed my parents with the bombings you do to test out your weapons. I will not rest till the whole world takes your country as the enemy," Farah gritted to say. Henry chuckled at this.

"I don't care what a bunch rascals did to you. Besides, out of all those other victims, what makes you think you are entitled for revenge because you gained the power to, what? Make Earthquakes? I make more terrifying ones with a stomp of my leg and I do not dare to go against my superiors because there is more things terrifying than me they are hiding," Henry warned him. Farah did not listen to him but touched the ground with both hands. The ground started rippling slowly like a water surface disturbed by a rock. Henry narrowed his eyes at this.

"In pieces it is," he said then brought his hands together into an almighty clap that simply just seemed like the bunker was bombed by a few tons of C4 as the soil flew to the sky and Henry along with them. He looked at the ground below him then flew off. In the destroyed bunker was a terrifying scene. A huge, long tunnel was visible to all who goes down there, as if a monstrously giant worm dug itself from the earth's core. This would later become an active volcano. This was all because Henry got his third awakening! And the remains of Farah were not even remaining! Henry stopped at a cyber cafe then paid the man for a scratch card of two hundred and called Fury.

"Farah Mahmoud, cause of twenty mils earthquakes in the Eastern Seaboard has been neutralised. Can I go home now?"

"Good work agent, you can fly back home now," Fury said, emotionlessly.
