My wings were tucked in tightly against my back to protect them from the cool breeze, my dark red hair swirled around me with the winds cold dance as I waited. An hour later after watching every small thing that existed at this dark abbey way I heard a noise, and then a small throb as something inserted itself into my chest. My fingers wrapped firmly around it and slid it out, grinning. "Was that supposed to hurt, Brook?" The guy I had been watching closely for a month now, stepped out of the shadows. He was a trained killer, that had been trying to escape his career for a while now, but sadly for him, he had to do a job for me.
"What in the world?" His black hair was cut short on the sides while the top of it was left longer, his dark green eyes stared at me as if he could make sense of what I was.
"We could introduce ourselves over a cup of coffee or we could go ahead and get to business, your decision," my arms crossed, I waited for his decision.
"What is it that you want?" His voice was soft and intimate, not deep like you would have thought by his strong build and appearance.
"I have a way out if you do this one thing for me." He didn't look surprised when I mentioned the one thing I knew, only suspicious.
"What thing?" He asked after a few minutes of contemplation. I should swear him to secrecy, but what's the fun of that?
"I am an angel," I flared out my wings to emphasize before tucking them warmly against me.
"And there is about to be an angel war, which I hope you'd be enthusiastic to help with."
"Bull," he growled. I walked slowly to him, circling.
"You know what I say is true, you slaughtered one yourself," I crooned in his ear. Usually, guys would be blushing at my attention by now, but Brook only stood there glaring in front of him. "Thankfully it was one of the dark angels."
"Let me guess, you can tell by the wing color?" I smiled, overly happy with how educated he already was.
"Of course!" A clap of my hands and two cups of coffee appeared. "You'll need the caffeine, anyway what I need you to do is kill the dark angel's leader." I was sprayed with coffee as I finished talking. He began laughing uncontrollably as I wiped myself off. "That is incredibly rude," I scoffed.
"You're asking me because you can't do it, what makes you think I can?"
"They can sense angelic powers, you are not an angel and you are the best assassin that I can get my hands on right now." Joking aside, I looked at him. I needed him to see how badly I needed him right now before the world would be in ruin. "Please?"
"I want out of the Assassin's Cult and I want a home in Dubai," he grumbled.
