My tears can't stop flowing.
"Deya..." I finally utter words.
"Yes, love. We are almost at the hospital" He opens the car window and talk to the security guard by the entrance gate. He opens the gate and we pass through.
"Why is she admitted here?" I blurt the question aloud.
"Ah...I don't know..." He fixates his gaze on the road.
"You did?" I ask out of curiosity
"Does it matter? If you are stressing about the fees" I chip into his sentence
"Yes, I am" I express my concern and sigh imagining the bill that will have to be paid when she gets discharged. I rub my temple.
"Don't stress about that, I will sort it out. We are family, so we share problems. " He parks the car. "Can you be able to move or do you still need assistance?" He gazes at me, he is adorable.
"Let me see" I try to move my leg and now it could move. "I can walk..." Whew! I am grateful, because it will be too embarrassing for an old woman like me to be carried into the hospital while she is not even sick, but here to see her injured daughter.
*
We walk behind the nurse who is leading us to Deya's room. I see an entourage almost overcrowding her door. When we get closer, my heart could not take it. I almost lose my step but Kim holds me firm.
He gazes into my eyes. "I got you, you are not alone".
We reach the door and found that the Doctor was already talking to Agnes, her brother and his wife. They seem agitated too. I wonder what it is, I hope that it has nothing to do with Deya because I don't want to talk to them right now. I pass them, but Kim gives a kind greeting with his head. I pout my lips in irritation by his kind gesture to these people. They are two-faced and sly foxes.
The doctor turned his head and scrutinised us as we sit next to the door. And after a minute, he concluded that we are here for Deya.
" Are you Deya's parents?" He asks in curiosity
"Yes. " I agree now irritated by his attitude towards us
"I am sorry. I thought you were also with the Mala and Mulaudzi family" He apologises remorsefully.
"Oh no we are not with her" Agnes blurt the words.
"But wasn't the young girl with your child in the same car?" He asks Adam, Agnes's brother.
"Yes, they were together. I am the one who called the ambulance" I glance at the man speaking. Is that Kamo? I narrow my eyes to glimpse his image well. He's all grown up. Sadly, his mother married into this family. Let's hope his sweetness is still the same.
"I knew that girl is trouble. Today is just a nightmare" Agnes exclaim rubbing her temple.
"What are you saying about my daughter?" I attempt to close the gap between me and her but Kim stops me from reaching.
"You heard me. What more do you expect out of the bastard child? Ever since she came here, our children's lives have been turned upside and down because of the little bastard. What can one expect, she is a wench like you"
Everyone gasped out of shock, mortified by her words.
I struggle free from Kim's loose grip and close in on her. I slap her hard on her cheek.
"You are the wench. You desperately trapped a man who never loved you with babies" I spit the words on her face. I am fuming right now.
"Please control your wives" The Doctor reprimand
"Who could wife this bitch! Homewrecker. " Agnes explodes
"If it was a home, would he have continuously cheated on you? I wonder how many babies he has. Stop acting like a saint. You are the one who slept on someone's bed, you wrecked my engagement. From today, stop acting like a victim. You are lucky you have a brother to cover your naked ass" I walk away fuming, and she grabs my hair and I struggle to steady myself.
Bodies came in and stand in between us. Kim drag me far aside and Adam holds his sister from trying to fight me.
"Leave me, I have been waiting for my whole to set this record straight. Stop acting like you are the saint and call me bitch again, Ek sal die hel van jou slaan. You will regret the day you knew me" I curse the words in her direction.
"Calm down, you pregnant remember" Kim tries to calm me down.
The Doctor and nurses watch at us helplessly and trying to remind us that we are in a hospital.

"What the hell..." Thami whispers to Kamo in shock.
"I know..." He whispers back
"Stop whispering, We can hear you" Ria chips in.
"That was embarrassing..." Louisiana expresses her thoughts and sigh.
"Yep...That woman is so desperate. She is lucky that Mr Smith helped her to the hospital. I bet she is one of his new projects" She sneers.
They glance at her mortified.
"What the hell Ria. We can expect that from your mother, but not you. Don't involve yourself in their unfinished business" Thami reprimands Ria and they all nod in agreement. She just sneered at them.
"Mr Smith dated Gia and he told her that he doesn't believe in monogamy and love. I am just saying my piece, not trying to slander anyone" She rolls her head and flip her weave.
Thami sighs "And you believe Gia. She probably said all the stuff because she was hurt. And you know she hardly tells the truth. He left her when he realised she loved him for his colour of skin and money"
"And he left for her?" Ria inquires with a fascinated grin.
"I don't know. He said that he wanted to settle when he spoke to me a few months ago" Thami replies.
"Can we just admire how beautiful that woman is, no wonder Uncle cheated with her" He burst a soft chuckle and they all grunt in dismay. He is doing what they were reprimanding Ria with. "Ria do you want a smoke, I need to relieve what I just witnessed"
"Sure, let's go, bro!" Ria follows Kamo, and they walk out.
Louisiana and Thami were left sitting and relieving the trauma they just witnessed.
"And I thought young women are dramatic" Thami shakes his head in disbelief.
