Viscount Sheron Bray Pov
In the corner of a room behind an oak desk sat the viscount of Saint Rothen town, Sheron Brays. Sheron Bray was an old man in his late forties, with long black hair, a thick build, and deep green eyes. He looked like a drunk buccaneer that would always have a rum in one hand, a blade by his side, and a woman in the other. His face always had the expression of a cunning man that would welcome a good time. But not today. Today his head was in his hands after reading all the reports of what took place in Saint Rothen during his absence.
180+ knights were poisoned and likely to die
Over thirty nobles' houses were wipeout entirely.
Over 180 people died.
Both daughters of Earl Vee died in his kingdom.
Potential civil unrest (the commoners are threatening to kill all the nobles with a title in the name of Justice and Peace.)
A mysterious man with space Elementalist.
The son of Lord James' involvement in poisoning the knights.
Earl Vee coming to the town of Saint Rothen in three days.
Two royal mages and forty mage trainees from the king's court are expected to arrive tonight.
Duke Reid arrivals....
Every report made the viscount wish he never left the kingdom. The viscount kept sighing. He had no one to blame but himself. His son was still sixteen and gullible and would not have understood that someone was pulling the string behind the scenes to create civil unrest. The visit of both royal mages and Duke Reid wasn't a coincidence.
During his absence from Saint Rotherns, Sheron, delivered a noble beast-man who committed murder in the human kingdoms to the authorities of the beast-man kingdom as stated by their treaty.
The delivery point was halfway into the elegy forest, where both parties would meet for the exchange.
The beast also had human nobles who committed crimes in the beast-man kingdom and would hand them over to be judged by their king. This was one of Bray's duties as a viscount and because the town he governed was in the outer ring and the closet to elegy forest.
"Father!" Ives called out, waking his father, Sheron, from his thoughts. He did not even know when Ives entered his office or that it was already five pm.
At the sight of Ives, the viscount could not help but sigh again.
"What is it?" Sheron asked
"Father, I went to the jail today as you told me to negotiate with that commoner on his release, but he has rejected it and is waiting on his trial. He said that he had proof of his innocence. The proof is a recording stone...…." Ives did not finish his sentence because he couldn't. he could not say that the girl he liked was being plowed by another man.
"Well, we expected it; he is innocent after all. You should have checked the story before parading him in the streets as a rapist. His trial is set for tomorrow at noon, and the trial will be used to quail the civil unrest. The people must know that I am an impartial leader." Sheron answered in a flat tune as if he did not have the energy for such foolishness.
"But father that would mea…." Ives didn't finish his sentence this time because his father began roaring at him like an endangered lion.
"But nothing, you allow that floozy to play you like a fiddle. The lord and Baron must have been laughing at you like hyenas. How can you be the next ruler of the kingdom if you can not see when you are being used? And that floozy continues to lie to you instead of confessing. And here you are asking for what? Suppose the commoner truly has a recording and distributes it among the commoners because of my unfavorable and unjust ruling. What do you think will happen? And when it is winter! Am I supposed to ruin my reputation for that floozy as well? There will also be two royal mages at the trail; the king sent them himself to help with the upcoming winter invasion from the monsters. Should I put my title at stake? My hands are tied even if I wanted to help, and I don't want to help! That floozy death was written in stone the minute she decided to lie to you! Leave before I slap lights in your eyes!" Sheron Growled at his son while looking at him with a sense of disgust.
Already enraged by the current condition of the town yet Ives had the gall to disturbed him for some childish none sense.

Alex Pov
After dealing with the knights, Alex stayed in his cell, talking to Vigerřamous about various things such as runes and spells.

[time left: 0:32:12]
[quest]: Save Lith's aunt's husband as a thank you to Lith and the aunt.
[Reward]: 1800 exp (no possibility of a bonus reward. All debts should be paid)
"Star, does the timer mean the quest will be canceled after thirty-two minutes? What changed?" Alex asked after seeing the additional feature.
"Well, it means in 0:31:44 that the husband of lith's aunt will die. A timer on a save quest means that the person's death has been seen by faith and eminent. Once the person isn't in danger the quest will go back to normal. I suggest you find him quickly and stash him with the other women. Failing a quest isn't bad, but you are too weak right now and I don't know what kind of punishment the system will give, if you are transported to one of those infested planets surviving will be too difficult especially if the system locks one of your skill." Star replied, warning Alex of the urgency of the matter.
Alex wasted no more time; the sun had already set. The guards were at their usual post with their eyes close, mediating to increase their mana. Alex slipped the decomposing body into the bed, open a rift, and entered.
He changed into his mask, cloak and equipped his ghost blades in the rift, then blinked to Christopher Wright's home.
Mercenaries and some knights wearing black pins surrounded the home. Alex blinked into the living room within the void to see Christopher on the floor being beaten black and blue. One of his hands was severed. He was being slapped repeatedly by a mercenary while being asked questions.
"where is the mage staff?" {Slap}
"This would be easier if you just tell us!" {slap}
"When I get my hands on your sweet wives, hahahahahahahah" the mercenary burst into a lechery laugh, imagining how he and his men would use the women.
Christopher was grimacing in anger; he could barely move. The mercenaries had broken every major bone in his body.
Alex surveyed the scene from the void; there were a total of fourteen mercenaries and twenty-five knights.
Although the knights didn't approve of what was happening or took part, they followed orders and stopped anyone who attempted to enter the property.
Alex checked his quest, and there was still 0:28:01 before Chris would die, and with so many knights here, he couldn't allow free exp to escape. This includes mercenaries. Alex took out the needle, the miniature bow, and the venom, and beginning poisoning everyone. Except for wind elementalist.
While poisoning them, he found a man hiding in the corner watching the whole show. Alex could not see his stats, so he avoided him.
Once Alex was done, he blinked outside the building while in the void. He went behind a knight that was guarding the west side of the property.

Elon was wearing a full-body army, something Alex needed to disguise himself to save Christopher. Alex looked around to make was sure that there was no one around. He did it twice because Elon was mediating so peacefully.
Alex smiled at such a carefree fellow. Alex opened a small rift just for his sword and effortlessly plunge his ghost blade in the back of the knights' neck as it passes through his throat. The knight opened his eyes wide, startled by the pain he gripped Alex's ghost blade. His eyes open wider as he saw a rift open and Alex walking out with a mask. They were warned of such a terrible opponent!
Elon's lasting thought was, 'but space is locked.'
As Elon's eyes were closing, he knew the knight's captain had given them the wrong information.
