Hi, my name is Peggy Achula. I live with my mother. My father died from a disease. I'm living okay with my mother but what gets on my nerves is that sometimes my mother is too soft when I want things. What I mean is that she spoils me too much.
I haven'y yet told her this because I'm afraid she's going to be too hard on me. That was my father's job. I miss my father. We get along a lot. That's why I'm going to show you what relationship we had.
But let me just tell you this: I don't really mind letting teens like me being seen with my father. That's how good our relationship is. He understands everything I go through.
Flashback:
" Dad, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" My father said," I sure do sweet pea. " We both said," Father-Daughter night!!!!" We got some ice cream, chips, soda, chocolate, and ect. My mother never really liked us doing that. She says it's too much junk. But that never stopped me and my father.
Every time my mother would come down to see if we were listening to her, we would hid the chocolates in between the couch, his the popcorn in our shirts, hide the ice cream under the couch and everything else next to us but somewhere my mother can't see.
We would always watch our favorite movie: "Father of the Bride". It may be old but it's a great movie. We would watch it every Father- Daughter night. I said," Hey dad, Would you let me marry someone I just met?" He said," Not if I approve first." We both laughed.
He was always the type who would be protective but while being protective he could be funny. I guess he didn't want it to be a sad moment. So instead, he made it a fun one. That's why I would always cherish him.
End of Flashback:
Lily Lu said," Peggy! Common, school is over. We have to get to the party that Mya invited us to. We can't be late on our very first party. Now stop daydreaming!" I said," Oh, I'm sorry Lily. I was just thinking back when my father was still alive." Lily Lu said," Again?"
I said," This is the day of our Father- Daughter night. So is it okay if you go to the party without me? I don't want to forget the times we had together." Lily Lu said," But we would always be here."
Lily Lu pointed to my heart. I said," I know but I still want to celebrate it. We have been doing it since I was 1 years old." Lily Lu said," Okay. I want you to be happy." I said thanks to her and left her in the classroom. I ran home to get ready for tonight.
