There was nothing subtle in the way he moved that night. In the moonlight, he walked through the grass and crunched every stray leaves in his path. His fangs were sharp and his claws were out ready to cut anyone who was going to stop him. His ears picked up every sound, his nose picked up every scent, his large paws feeling the muddy grass below.
He looked up at the full moon. It wasn't the angelic yellow-white it usually was. Tonight the moon was an angry devilish red. It was peculiar since it was just yesterday that the moon was bright blue. He gazed at the moon as if looking for the answers he knew he would never get.
He looked away from the moon and towards the dark forest. His bright golden eyes looked for signs of movement. But even with his inhumane eyes, he couldn't see what was hidden by the dark shadows. Mentally praying to the moon goddess, he took a step forward and ventured into the dark unknowns.
His midnight dark fur blended in with the shadows. The only thing bright about him were his golden eyes that seemed too magical to be real. He was a mystery that no one knew about. He was the scary beast that the kids fear. He was the monster that lurked in the dark. He was the reason why hunters exists. He was what everyone feared and wished to never cross. He was a beast that could make full grown man shiver in fear.
He was the Midnight Beast.
