Till four in the evening, Jay focused on resolving internal issues within the Enterprise and neutralizing external threats that could harm their operations. Once finished, he returned home, where MJ's voice echoed in his mind.
'Master, they will reach the airport within the next hour.'
'Alright, now locate where Kay and Qew are right now,' Jay commanded mentally.
'Master, Moro is training them in the Hypergravity Chamber at the Deep Underground Secret Base. Should I inform them to come here?'
'No need for that. I will be going there. Prepare a chamber pod for the Secret Base.'
'I am already on it, Master,' MJ replied.
Moments later, a cylindrical chamber pod emerged from the floor in the basement of Jay's house. He entered the horizontal pod, which was large enough to fit a person, and once he settled into a lying position, the glass hatch sealed shut.
The pod began descending, moving 50 meters deep into the ground, and stopped at a junction of sleek, high-tech tunnels. These subterranean tunnels, designed by MJ's quantum AIs, allowed Jay to travel discreetly without being noticed.
This was especially important, as the Secret Base was hidden in a remote forest outside the city. There was always a chance that someone could discover the elevator entrance by following him, his siblings, or the core security personnel.
As the chamber pod moved deeper, MJ's digital face appeared on the glass cover, glowing with a blue outline. 'Master, the Secret Base is 22.4 kilometers ⧼14 miles⧽ away from here. At Mach-1 speed, it would take one minute to reach the destination. Would you like to proceed?'
"Let's make it short. Go at full capacity; my body can handle it," Jay instructed.
"Prepare for the impact, Master. Initializing subterranean tunnel slingshot in 3… 2… 1… Launch!"
In just three seconds, the chamber pod accelerated to Mach-7, exposing Jay to a massive gravitational force that would crush an average person. Fighter pilots could withstand such speeds under normal conditions, but the pod's rapid acceleration to Mach-7 in only three seconds pushed the limits even further.
At this hypersonic speed of 2401 meters per second, the pod raced through the tunnels, making the journey swift and intense.
However, that level of gravity wasn't a problem for Jay, who could easily endure 100 times the gravity.
In just 15 seconds, the chamber pod carrying him reached the interior of the Secret Base. The glass hatch slid open, and Jay stepped out and headed straight for the Hypergravity Chamber.
Before entering it, he passed through the decompression room, which was connected to the chamber.
Since the Hypergravity Chamber was already in use, anyone entering had to go through the decompression room. This setup allowed the gravity to gradually increase, helping the entrant adjust without suffering from a sudden jump in gravity levels.
Instead of stepping directly inside, Jay paused to observe through the glass wall of the decompression room. Inside, Qew and Kay were sparring under the watchful supervision of Moro and Esha. Their training wasn't limited to close combat; they were also employing their Innate Talent abilities.
The Hypergravity Chamber, crafted by MJ's Quantum A.Is within the Secret Base was three times larger than the one Jay had seen in the Earth's Foothold within the Trial World.
He hadn't anticipated they would make use of its size as a sparring arena while dealing with the challenges of heightened gravity. Currently set at 10G's, the chamber forced their bodies to expend far more stamina as even simple movements became a test of endurance.
What truly caught Jay's attention was how Kay used his Innate Talent. He created transparent walls of rule barriers to defend himself against Qew's aggressive attacks. But these barriers were different. Unlike the basic versions from the Trial World, Kay's barriers had transparent chains emerging from them. The chains actively sought to capture and incapacitate Qew.
This was an approach Jay hadn't considered before. Despite bringing up║Minor Rule Mastery║to the peak of Stage-3, Jay had only used rule barriers for limited purposes—such as entering dome barriers or sealing gaps in trial zones.
Watching Kay wield them in such an innovative and dynamic way, Jay felt a wave of realization wash over him. His tendency to improve the Masteries of multiple Innate Talents had left him spread too thin, unable to focus on fully realizing the potential of any single one.
This made him aware of the importance of concentrating on one Mastery at a time. Strengthening an Innate Talent's usage was ultimately more valuable than merely advancing its level.
With this insight, Jay decided on a new approach. He would focus on converging multiple elements into a more powerful higher element and work on perfecting its Mastery.
In the spar between his siblings, the one who caught Jay'e eye the most was his sister, Qew. She was dodging Kay's rule barrier chains with ease, using║Wind Steps║and║Shadow Leap║, two skills Jay had created by converging several of his own skills.
What amazed Jay even more was how Qew used these skills so fluidly, as if they were her own. She wielded║Wind Steps║without possessing a Wind Innate Talent and║Shadow Leap║without a Darkness Innate Talent.
Normally, using any skill required an affinity between the user's Innate Talent and the skill itself. For example, a Fire Innate Talent user couldn't wield a Wind-elemental skill as effectively as someone with a Wind Innate Talent, no matter how much Spirit Energy they poured into it.
Yet, for some reason, Qew defied this rule. Jay had only seen one other exception to this principle—his unique ability,║LOOT║. It allowed him to wield any skill with the same efficiency as a corresponding talent user, regardless of whether he possessed the matching Innate Talent.
He recalled the time he used the║Fireball║skill to burn the bodies of the Underworld Syndicate criminals who had tortured his brother, despite not yet possessing a Fire Innate Talent at that time. However, he couldn't comprehend how Qew was now accomplishing the same feat.
As the spar continued, it became clear that Kay had the upper hand. He surrounded Qew with ten layers of dome rule barriers, each weaker than the Trial World's versions but, together, strong enough to trap a Tier-3 Low-Phase monster.
The barriers closed in on Qew as she tried punching and using skills to break free, but her efforts weren't enough. Kay stood outside the shrinking domes, his palms mimicking the motion of pressing an invisible ball, exerting visible strain.
"Sister, admit defeat. You can't escape this. Today, I'll win," Kay declared, his face lit with triumph.
The past two days of sparring had always ended with Qew as the victor. Her knack for close combat, combined with Moro's guidance, allowed her to progress at a shocking speed. Even Esha and other core security members were astounded, speculating it wouldn't be long before her close combat skills reach theirs.
But Kay's recent breakthrough in manipulating rule barriers gave him an edge this time, and he relished the thought of finally defeating his overbearing sister.
Qew, however, responded with an eerie smile. "Little Brother, I didn't want to use this, but since you've pushed me into a corner, you leave me no choice."
Suddenly, a ball of purple fire, flickering with red flashes, formed in her palm. The entire room froze. Moro, Esha, and even Kay were taken aback by the sight of such a powerful element.
But no one was more stunned than Jay. The appearance of the purple-red flame left him speechless. This wasn't just surprising—it raised questions he hadn't even thought to ask.
The element Qew was using—the crackling purple fire with red flashes—was none other than Jay's own creation, Lightning Fire. He had converged it just that morning, yet here it was, already being wielded by his sister.
As confusion clouded his thoughts, MJ's familiar voice chirped in his mind. 'Master, it's actually quite simple. Miss Qew can use anything you create because of her Innate Talent,║INFINITE CONVERGENCE║. It allows her to utilize any skill or Innate Talent you've formed.'
MJ continued, 'For instance, when you created the║Dual-Elemental Innate Talent║by converging two of your looted talents, her Innate Talent left a Convergence mark on it during the process. The same applies to every skill you've converged. That's how she's able to use them.'
The explanation left Jay momentarily stunned. He hadn't realized just how terrifyingly powerful Qew's Innate Talent truly was.
Meanwhile, Qew's ball of Lightning Fire began spinning rapidly in her palm. Without hesitation, she thrust it at the dome barriers surrounding her. The impact sent crackling sounds reverberating through the Hypergravity Chamber as the Lightning Fire tore through all ten layers with ease.
With the barriers shattered, Qew dashed toward Kay, who was drained from expending most of his Spirit Energy to maintain the rule barriers. Still, Kay made one last attempt to fight her in close combat, but his exhaustion quickly caught up with him. It didn't take long for Qew to trap him in a choke lock.
Kay struggled for half a minute before tapping out in defeat. Qew released him, letting him catch his breath, then dusted her hands off smugly. "Little brother, I've had a five-minute head start on you since birth. Forget about defeating this Big Sister."
Although Qew's words sounded confident, her inner thoughts betrayed her.
'Phew, that was close. If not for that strange new element I could control since this morning, I would have lost to that brat. I need to train harder. Maybe with this element, I could even defeat Jay someday.'
The thought of beating her older brother made Qew giggle to herself. She even imagined flicking his head the way he often did to her.
But her moment of triumph was interrupted by a familiar voice coming from the chamber's entrance.
"Oh really? Then why don't we have a spar right now?"
Qew's expression froze, and her lips twitched as she turned to see Jay standing there. "Hey! Don't read my thoughts! Give me some privacy, okay?" she yelled.
Jay raised his hands in mock surrender, laughing. "Alright, alright, I won't anymore." Lowering his hands, he smirked. "But since you're thinking of using that element to defeat me, let me show you something."
With that, Jay raised his right hand and pointed his forefinger toward the ceiling. The same Lightning Fire element that Qew had just used danced along his fingertip, crackling with sharp, menacing sounds that hinted at its lethal power.
Qew's jaw dropped in shock. Jay glanced at her and asked with a sly grin, "How do you think you can control this higher element? Or use skills like║Wind Steps║and║Shadow Leap║?"
Qew listened as he explained everything and by the end, she fully understood how her Innate Talent,║INFINITE CONVERGENCE║, enabled her to wield so many skills and even the higher element of Lightning Fire.
Jay smirked as he flicked Qew's forehead. "What do you say about a quick spar with me? Don't you want to defeat me?" he teased before walking over to Kay, who was still lying on the floor, exhausted.
Qew let out a grunt, rubbing her forehead, and declared with ambition, "Just wait, Brother. One day, I'll flick your forehead so hard there'll be bumps... argh!"
Jay smiled and ignored her comment, focusing on Kay. He extended a hand and helped him to his feet. "Don't be disheartened. You almost got her. It's okay if your close combat skills aren't as good as hers. You should focus on what you excel at, like your grasp of the Law of Rule."
He added with genuine encouragement, "Even though I have the same║Minor Rule Mastery║as you, I can't do what you just did. It'll take me time and practice to reach your level. Stick to this path, and I'm sure you'll defeat Qew soon enough."
Kay nodded, comforted by his brother's words.
A moment later, Jay shifted the conversation. "By the way, the delegates from a Scottish company will be arriving at the airport soon. Go and receive them. If we secure a partnership with their company, we can expand our Enterprise into international markets."
He then pulled out two sets of Grade-3 Stamina Essence Fruit and Grade-3 Spirit Essence Fruit from his Debuffer Ring's storage space and handed them to Kay and Qew. "Eat these and recover some of your stamina and Spirit Energy."
Once they had consumed the fruits, Jay turned to Qew. "Sister, it's best if you go with Kay."
Kay's face lit up with excitement at the thought of expanding their Enterprise globally, but Qew frowned. "Big Brother, Kay can handle this. He's good at business deals. I'll be no help there. Let me stay back and train instead."
Jay clicked his tongue and shook his head. Pulling out a ruby-colored necklace, he said casually, "What a pity. If you had agreed, I was going to gift you this space storage necklace I recently got from the Trial World. Maybe I should give it to someone else."
Qew's eyes locked on the necklace, her attitude changing instantly. She had been pleading with Jay for a space storage item for days. Without hesitation, she grabbed the necklace, her expression now one of pure determination.
"Hey, Kay, why are you just standing there? Let's go to the airport already!" she exclaimed, grabbing Kay's arm and dragging him toward the exit.
Kay stumbled after her, his exhaustion clear in his sluggish steps, but he couldn't decide what was harder—keeping up or convincing her to slow down.
Moro and Esha exchanged glances before following them—they were, after all, the siblings' personal security guards.
Left alone in the Hypergravity Chamber, Jay smiled as he thought about Qew's abrupt change of attitude. Shaking his head in amusement, he said to MJ. "Increase the gravity to 50G's."
The gravity intensified as Jay began his rigorous training.
