"That was by no means a mountain... that was an entire realm!"
Han Sen was confused by his Master's remark, thinking how a person could exclude a presence weighing the same as a realm. "Is that even possible??", he asked, honestly revealing his confusion and curiosity.
Not wanting to drag out the story much, the main character shortened it down by saying, "Long story short, I assisted in the birth of a new god, one who thinks of me as a father figure. And by using my connection, I made them make me a crystal by sucking in all the celestial energy that was present in that realm..."
The main character said the words in such a casual manner that it had almost tricked Han Sen into thinking it's was normal, that it wasn't a big deal-wait... did he just say god??? The pain he felt in his head seemed to fade away, overshadowed by the sheer magnitude of his shock! '
He can't be telling the truth... can he??' Han Sen really couldn't believe such an obscene story as it was completely nonsensical! I mean, the main character literally said that he aided in the birth of a new divinity, one that recognises him as it's father, no less!!! Who would believe such a story??
But looking at the main character, Han Sen felt deep down in his gut that he was telling the truth. How he came to do such a thing, only he, himself, knew.
"Wait, things still don't make sense... How did you come to possess that oppressive aura? Did it make the crystal, or did it share its powers with you? Waaaaaite, are you a divinity now??" He asked, his voice shaking as his eyes filled with adoration.
Sighing, the main character shook his head, "Not yet, it only gives me the opportunity to become one... I'll have to wait seven days to seal the deal."
His words hung in the air, filling Han Sen up with a sense of curiosity, causing him to question.
'What was he saying??? Is he really telling me that by the end of 7 days, he will level up to the rank of divinity? Has anyone done that before?? I've heard some that reached the immortal Planes, but those were just in myths. And even then, they weren't said to have reached the rank of divinity. Or was it just that no human has publicized this monumental achievement??' He simply had too many questions that needed answering but no one to answer them.
Shacking his head in resignation, Han Sen recovered himself before checking up on that woman he had brought in, having seen a glimpse of her earlier.
'If it affected me to the point of unconsciousness, what would it have done to her??' After all she was closest to the main character...Despite the fact that his line of thinking was correct, seeing her radiating with a thick medicinal light, he knew he she was going to be okay.
"Once she's recovered enough, take her back. After that, comeback and look for me immediately, we have business to take care of."
'Business? What business might that be? Could it be something as crazy as what he had just done? That would be interesting...'
Han Sen's thoughts were all over the place causing a delay in his response.
"Han Sen?!"
Snapping him back into reality, Han Sen nodded his head before entering into a meditative state, this time not to cultivate but to recovered from the injuries he, himself, had sustained. Thankfully, due to the medical Dans the main character had fed him, recovering didn't take too long; about four hours, give or take.
Opening his eyes, he found that his Master had already taken down the silencing curtain he had set up initially, before leaving him to recover; the woman, still unconscious on the bed albeit looking a lot more livelier than before.
Checking on her condition, Han Sen realised that with enough time, she would eventually recover back to her normal state. It was just a matter of time... Now able to relax, Han Sen picked up the woman and slung her over his shoulder before making his way out the window; the city being his destination.
. . .
Having returned back to his mansion, the city lord could be seen in his office with a steel, stress ball being squeezed in his hand. Retaining it's original shape no matter the lengths it had been stretched. It was obvious today's attacks had caused quite a stir, making the citizens feel unsafe. The multitudes of news reports that covered the attack, weren't helping in the slightest as some had labelled it a terrorist attack, causing mass panic.
Finally calming down, he placed the stress ball on the desk, causing a dull thud to be heard. Finally devising a plan of action, he thought, 'Okay, here's the pla-*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK* Before he could finish his thought, a series of brisk knocks on his door interrupted him. Although feeling a bit dissatisfied, he stood up from his chair and opened the door, only to be met with the sight of Bao Obi, standing there with a cool look in his eyes.
"What may I do for you, Bao Obi?", he asked, masking the irritation in his voice.
"I came because I have seen an important vision, one regarding the attacks that has been made on the city earlier today..."
